The island has opted for upscale tourism and high-spending visitors. You’ll find luxury hotels, all-inclusive resorts, and nothing for budget travellers. Even the few guesthouses or pensions at the lower end of the price scale will cost at least $50–60 for a double room, and that’s mostly in the off-season.
