Types of Travel in Bermuda
Travel Themes
- Interests (out of ): Nature ; Adventure ; Culture ; Relaxation-holidays .
Nature-Adventure
With its pink-sand beaches and turquoise sea, Bermuda offers a postcard-perfect natural setting, though it isn’t particularly "diverse." What’s more, the archipelago is highly urbanized, with a population density well over 1,000 inhabitants per km²—one of the highest in the world.
Culture
Despite its small size, Bermuda has a fairly substantial historical heritage dating back to when it was a strategic outpost of the British Empire. Hamilton (the capital), the Royal Naval Dockyard, and especially St. George's, whose historic civilian and military buildings are UNESCO-listed, bear witness to this.
Relaxation-Holidays
As with most islands, this is Bermuda’s (very) strong point and its defining feature. What’s more, some of its beaches are made of pink sand.
Independent Travel
Bermuda is a very easy destination for independent travelers, perfect for beginners. That said, backpacking isn’t particularly common or even widely appreciated here.
