C'est le plus ancien parc national au monde (1872), à cheval sur trois états (Idaho, Montana et surtout Wyoming). Il est connu pour ses superbes paysages, ses geysers et sa faune (ours, loups, élans, bisons…). On peut y randonner à pied ou à cheval ainsi qu'y pêcher.
