French language use
English and Spanish are the two official languages of Puerto Rico. English is primarily used in administration and tourism, while Spanish is the "everyday language" for 95% of the population. As a visitor, you can use either as long as you stay within the tourism sector. Otherwise, Spanish is much preferred, as many Puerto Ricans aren’t very comfortable with English. French is almost nonexistent, though there was a small French and Corsican emigration to the island in the distant past.
