Like most Caribbean islands, Trinidad and Tobago is on GMT-4. This means 5 hours behind France in winter and 6 hours behind in summer. In winter, there’s a 1-hour difference between Quebec (GMT-5) and Trinidad and Tobago.
Note that Trinidad and Tobago is not on the same time as its Venezuelan neighbor, which is on GMT-4:30. This results in a half-hour difference between the two countries.

115 Volt (60 Hz) with "US-style" outlets (officially types A and B), which will require an adapter for French plugs (and optionally a transformer).
Opening Hours
Shops and stores are generally open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and, in the capital, until 3:00 PM on Saturdays. Shopping centers are open longer, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday to Saturday. Banks are open 8:00 AM–2:00 PM Monday to Thursday (until 5:00 PM on Fridays), with some in shopping centers staying open until 6:00 PM.
