When and Where to Go in Belgium
Best Times to Visit Belgium
Finding the best time to visit involves balancing climate conditions with crowd levels and the most attractive prices for travel and on-site expenses.
While June to September offers the best weather, it also attracts the most visitors—especially in July and August—as do spring holidays and long weekends, which draw crowds too, particularly to Brussels and Bruges. In short, the ideal time to travel is between late April and late September, prioritizing periods outside school holidays and public holidays—mainly May-June and September. As for winter, while the weather isn’t ideal for exploring nature, it’s perfect for visiting cities and their museums in peace, far from the crowds.
