Cela m'étonnerait fort que l'on trouve ce genre de produits sur un bateau de croisière. On trouve déjà exceptionnellement du lait ou des yaourts de soja dans des hôtels de haut de gamme.
Le plus simple serait de se renseigner auprès du "croisièriste" sur les possibilités de régime spéciaux, et, sinon, d'emmener le nécessaire (lait de soja et pain sans gluten) ou de se passer des aliments contre-indiqués pendant le temps de la croisière.

Le mieux est déjà de se renseigner auprès de l'organisateur, puis une fois à bord auprès du cuisinier pour lui donner les indications. Le mieux est de les avoir écrites, surtout si la langue du cuisinier n'est pas le français.
Après selon la durée et la destination, tu peux emmener quelques substituts au cas où il n'y aurait rien de consommable pour toi.
Le hic reste pour les médicaments, prévois un ensemble de médicaments sans lactose que tu es susceptible de devoir prendre pendant le voyage (anti histaminiques, anti douleurs, anti inflammatoires, mal du voyage etc...)
Quand au "il suffit de se passer des aliments contre indiqués"... t'es un comique toi. Une allergie au lactose (et pire au gluten) implique de ne consommer aucun aliment contenant des traces. Or les traces, il y en a partout ! Que ce soit dans le steack, les légumes cuits dans du beurre. Les viandes d'animaux élevés en batterie sont à proscrire car nourris aux plv. Les poissons d'élevage style truite, idem, car finis au lait pour une chair plus savoureuse, etc....
Dans la plupart des cas, si il n'y a pas de régime spécial prévu, l'allergique ne peut manger que.... des fruits et du pain (ah, non, même pas si il y a allergie au gluten 😛)...
Il reste tout cela quand même pour un régime sans gluten !!. on doit pouvoir survivre :
- fruits et légumes frais
- maïs
- riz
- pommes de terre
- légumes secs
- huile d'olive
- viandes et poissons sans sauce
Par ailleurs, ne confondons pas protéines de lait de vache et lactose ...j'ai lu que notre ami ne consomme pas de lactose, il ne parle pas de PLV ... Il ne nous dit pas non plus son degré d'intolérance au lactose : pour beaucoup de personnes quelques traces de lactose sont tolérables au prix d'un léger inconfort digestif ...

- -> Oui, comme au resto, dans certains rien quasiment n'est consommable si le cuisinier ne fait pas d'efforts
Parce qu'il y a quand même quelques nuances pour un régime sans lactose (et plus généralement sans plv) - fruits et légumes frais : vrai, il faut donc qu'ils soient servis nature, cuits sans beurre. Et ça, c'est déjà plus délicat ! Les vinaigrettes industrielles contiennent des dérivés de produits laitiers, donc ne prendre que de la vinaigrette maison, sans crème, yahourt ou autre truc exotique...
Pour les salades de fruits, attentions à certains conservateurs.
Ca devient déjà plus compliqué
- maïs : le mais seul est rarement au menu. Dans certaines salade, ça devient déjà plus fréquent, mais pareil, attention aux sauces. Pour les plats à base de mais, idem, attentions aux mode de cuisson, sauces, additifs etc...
- riz : même remarque, quoique du riz nature est plus facile à demander
- pommes de terre : attention au mode de cuisson (et certains éliminent les pdt du régime sans gluten), et elles sont rarement servies seules. Adieu gratins, tartiflettes, tourtes and co... Dans la purée la noisette de beurre "oubliée" par le cuisinier est traitre.
- légumes secs : là encore ça dépend du mode de cuissons. Certains cuisiniers aiment bien rajouter une cuillère de crème fraiche, et là on est loin des traces.
- huile d'olive : (oui c'est vrai, c'est un aliment, merci valérie lemercier;) ). Heureusement qu'elle est là. Il y a les autres huiles aussi (noix, raisin), mais c'est fonction des gouts aussi. titere, je pense que notre ami peut très bien se débrouiller pour voyager, les allergies sont suffisamment prise de tete sans en plus se priver de plus de choses qu'il n'est nécessaire.
Simplement, il faut quelques astuces et la difficulté de la croisière est que l'on ne peut pas aller s'approvisionner au besoin de produits spécifiques.
Pour ma profession, peut importe, car ce que je livre est le résultat de mes expériences en tant que polyallergique, entre autres aux plv.
Exact pour la différence lactose et plv, sauf que dans la pratique, il vaut mieux éviter toute trace de lait de vache et que selon le degré de l'allergie ou de l'intolérance, la différence entre les deux revient à se priver de beaucoup de choses similaires.
Apparemment, l'auteur signale qu'il peut manger du fromage de chèvre. Dans ce cas, peut etre que le lait de chèvre est possible pour lui, et peut etre plus trouvable que le lait de soja (faut aimer) ?
Ce qui n'est pas précisé et qui a aussi son importance est la région où se fera la croisière.
Merci pour toutes vos réponses, je ferai la croisière Perle de l'Océan Indien et je pense qu'il serait mieux que j'apporte quelques aliments que je pourrai consommer car je pourrai toujours trouver des légumes, de la salade et d'autres plats qui ne me feront pas de mal.
Pour ce qui est du lactose, il est responsable de mes troubles de digestion, flatulences, ventre qui gonfle lorsque je mange. J'évite aussi le gluten qui est aussi responsable de mes troubles digestifs.

Sinon, il est toujours préférable d'aller demander au cuisinier (ou faire demander) en début de croisière.
Mais il y a un certain nombre de plats "exotiques" qui seront certainement servis à bord et qui raviront tes papilles de manière sécurisée.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.

We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question: Has anyone here had any experience with this? (Even if it’s a different medication or different countries, any input would be helpful!)

We’d like to know if there’s a real risk of Zika contamination on those islands, because from what we’ve found online, the recorded cases are old and come from the Sotavento Islands.
We’re thinking about canceling our trip.

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
Have any of you been in this situation before? How does it work at customs—do I need to declare everything that exceeds the 3-month limit? Do I need a letter from my doctors?

I’ll finish up in Bangkok, with a likely detour to Kanchanaburi.

I often have unexplained allergies and need to follow a daily treatment for my diabetes (insulin). I think I can get authorization from my doctor to travel for 6 months with the treatment—is that correct? We’ve planned a 3-week trip to Bali this summer with our 7-year-old daughter. The itinerary includes Sanur, Nusa Lembongan, Sidemen, Amed, and Ubud. The more time passes, the more we read about people getting sick—some with mild to severe traveler’s diarrhea, and many ending up in the hospital. We, as parents, have been through it in Egypt with pretty bad cases, but we’d really like to avoid that for our daughter.
