Je pars au Canada dans 10-15 jours (je n'ai pas encore tout reservé), et je m'inquietes par rapport à cette "psychose" autour de la grippe porcine.
Je penses demander à mon medecin un traitement "preventif" ou d'appoint car il n'en n'existe pas vraiment encore, d'après ce que j'ai pu lire.
Ce qui m'inquietes, c'est (égoistement) de l'attrapper et que ca me gache mon sejour, et evidement de la ramener en France sans avoir eu de symptomes sur place.
Qu'en pensez vous? Est-ce que c'est risqué?
(Je vais à Montréal, puis Calgary, Banff, Vancouver, pour deux-trois semaines)
Le souci: Je ne peux decaler mon sejour, d'un car ce n'est pas remboursable, et de deux car je ne pourrais probablement pas repartir à l'étranger avant des années, et ce voyage me tiens trop à coeur...
J'ai été sur les sites d'information, mais je n'y ai pas appris grand chose en dehors de ce qu'on entends partout...

Canada/Mexique c'est un peu, en distance, comme si tu demandais si tu dois prendre un anti-palu a Paris car il y a du palu en Afrique !
A suivre par les infos ... mais en ce moment c'est un peu loin ou alors tu ne vas nulle part car des cas sporadiques il peut y en avoir partout !

Au 26 avril 5pm EDT (dernière info que j'ai de disponible) 3 voyageurs de retour du Mexique étaient hospitalisés "en observation" dans 3 hôpitaux espagnols.
C'est le cas dans d'autres pays.
Il est un peu tôt pour parler de cas de grippe porcine....
Oui c'est vrai, je suis facilement impressionable! C'est surtout que ce voyage me tient trop à coeur, et la perspective de le voir gaché ou annulé m'angoisse.
De plus, à la télé, à la radio, dans les journeaux, sur internet, on ne parles que de ça...Sans rire, je ne dois pas annuler et y aller?

Vous avez donc décidez de risquer votre état de santé pour une question de gros sous. Alors assumez votre décision.
Ou vous venez (et il y a risque que vous nous apportiez le virus, d'autant plus que ce sont les jeunes dans la vingtaine qui sont atteints) ou vous restez à la maison.
Et c'est bien naïf de penser qu'en restant à la maison vous serez à l'abri. Attendez de voir le retour de l'étranger de vos compatriotes-voyageurs ce sont eux qui sont susceptibles de rapporter la contamination et c'est la même chose pour chez-moi.
Vous imaginez une interdiction de tous les déplacements de tout le monde 😕 Une mise en quarantaine de la planète entière 🙁

😉Merci à vous et à tous.c'est vrai, il faut que je me calmes.J'ai appellé le numero d'information, et on m'a dit que les risques au Canada étaient trés minimes, les personne stouchées prises en charge, et que l'épidémie était bien contenue là bas.
De plus les cas canadiens auraient été touchés beaucoup plus faiblement que les cas mexicains (symptomes moins graves, stade beaucoup moins avancé).
Ca m'a rassuré, même si je suis consciente des risques.
J'ai ensuite appellé mon medecin traitant qui à plaisanté un peu avec moi là dessus, mais à accepté de me prescrire du tamiflu en prevention, et m'a affirmé que les endroits à risques étaient surtout les aeroports.

Hélas, la presse raconte souvent n'importe quoi, et propage la peur pour faire vendre.
Fiez vous à des articles documentés (il y a quand même de vrais journalistes sur cette terre) et pas à des annonces sensationnelles.
La grippe porcine ça se passe pas au Canada mais bien au Mexique! et la distance est énorme... Pas question d'annuler le voyage puisqu'il n'y a même pas eu de véritables cas.
Les choses peuvent aller malheureusement assez vite de part la rapidité des transports :

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
