Il se peut que nous allions faire un petit tour à Paris à Noël. Comme je n'y suis jamais allée à cette période (2 fois en septembre et une fois en avril), je me demande quel temps il fait d'habitude.
J'imagine que c'est très humide...
À part les magasins qui doivent être féériques, y a-t-il des "choses" à ne pas manquer à ce temps de l'année?
C'est sure quand regardant les stats aujourdh'ui tu te dis ouais pas chaud mais quand tu vas décoller de québec city a -20 pour paris a 10 tu vas etre tres contente 😎 du moins je le serais................
En général, il fait assez froid. Prévoit un bon manteau, une écharpe et des gants et tu seras bien équipée pour visiter cette très belle ville dont moi, je ne me lasse pas!
Promenade classique pour Noel: descendre les Champs-Elysées illuminés. Regarde sur le site de la mairie de Paris qui t'informera sur des évènements et visites particuliers.

Oui, c'est une belle ville Paris! J'y suis déjà allée 3 fois et mon conjoint, une fois. C'était en septembre 2002. Nous avions acheté la Carte Musées, 5 jours, avant notre départ.
Nous avons passé une journée à Versailles, vu un peu du Louvre, un peu du Musée d'Orsay (mon coup de coeur), les égoûts, le musée de Picasso, celui de Rodin et peut-être que j'en oublie...
Sûrement que les Champs Élysées tout illuminés doit être toute une attraction! Et la Tour Effeil avec son nouvel éclairage...

J'aimerais également retourner à Londres. Mon conjoint, lui, n'y est jamais allé.
Je vais continuer à rêver et à faire des recherches pour trouver une aubaine sur Paris.

Je te donne l'adresse d'un hôtel agréable, très propre, et assez abordable : 53 euro la nuit. Hôtel de la Place des Alpes 2, place des Alpes 75013 PARIS . C'est place d'Italie.
Moi, aussi, j'adore le Musée d'Orsay, Le Musée Rodin etc... En ce moment, au Grand Palais jusqu'à fin janvier je crois, il y a une expo sur les impressionnistes.
Moi, je suis venue au Québec en 1996. Je suis allée à Longueuil, Montréal, Québec. Excellent souvenir.

POur nous qui habitons en France c est sur qu une température avoisinant les 5 degrés on trouve ca tres froid! A paris l hivers je pense pas que ca depasse 12 degrés, a chaque fois que j y vais il fait gris a PAris, c est le Nord! En plus avec la pollution certains jours c est déprimant! Mais pour Noel Paris c est magnifique, avec les illuminations de Noel sur les champs Elysées c est super, la Tour Eiffel la nuit illuminée aussi c est génial! Sinon il y a mille truc a faire a PAris, en commencant par eurodisney si tu y vas avec des enfants pour noel il y a du monde mais de jolie parades. Ensuite plein de chics magasins, les puces a Clignancourt pour faire de bonnes affaires, les musées, les monuments, le Sacré coeur, les cabarets: Lido, moulin rouge Paradis Latin( je connais c joli spectacle bon champagne et bonne bouffe) Et voila a toi de decouvrir
Deesseshiva, non, je n'ai pas d'enfant mais je suis allée 4 fois à Disney World en Floride, dont 2 fois à Noël. C'était féérique!!!
Pour ce qui est des puces, je n'ai jamais eu le temps d'y aller. La dernière fois, c'était en septembre 2002. Nous n'avons même pas eu le temps d'aller faire une croisière sur la Seine. J'avais également le Canal St-Martin sur mon programme. J'ai dû le laisser tomber également... Dans mon itinéraire, j'avais le cimetière du Père Lachaise, celui de Montmartre et celui de Montparnasse, entre autres. Ces lieux m'ont impressionné par le respect que les gens y apportent. Ici, au Québec, il y a souvent des vandals qui brisent tout.
Les chics magasins: oh la la!!! Avec le cours de l'euro, nous nous contentons de regarder!!!
Pour moi parisien, il fait froid !!
En plus, on prévoit des températures négatives pour la semaine qui arrivent !!!

Sinon, à voir à Paris en Décembre :Les champs Elysées : ils sont iluminés et c'est très joli !Les Grands Magasins : Joli mais c'est bourré de touriste !La Tour Eiffel : Au 1er étage, il y a une patinoire ! Anecdotique, vous me direz mais pourquoi pas !
Mais il y a d'autres choses fort sympathiques dans Paris !

Tout d'abord, il est grand temps que tu y penses car, tu sais sûrement que plus tu attends, plus le billet va coûter cher.
Appelle ton agent de voyages, regarde sur les sites Internet, tu as plein d'agences qui vendent en ligne, regarde les sites des compagnies aériennes comme Air Canada, Air France et sûrement plein d'autres.
Probablement que tu auras un transfert à faire à quelque part, que ce soit Paris ou ailleurs, tout dépendant de la compagnie que tu vas choisir.
Va sur le site d'Air France, ça va te donner une bonne idée. Je ne pense pas qu'Air Transat aille à Lyon en décembre. Compte au moins 1 000 $.

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ve planned a trip to Asia for the first half of November.
I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
