Salut camarades🙂,

Amicalement,

Pascal aka Yellowmop.😉

Hi Drummajor🙂,

Thank you so much for your post.

I would like to cruise the Caledonian Canal, from Corpach to Inverness(97kms long!!!). I've been checking the Caley cruisers' website, which rents boats, but it's too expensive to me. Do you know whether there are other cheapest options to cruise the Canal, ferry-boats for example?

Do u also know some castles(hanted or not!!héhé) which rent cheap single night (basic double room)? We would like to experience a night in a castle, but not in a luxury one.

All your advices, hidden adresses, secret activities... will be welcome!!! You know we'll spend 4 weeks in Scottland, so we'll have time to explore the country and get off the bitten trails...

Tell me if you prefer to talk in English(mine is poor) or French, it's up to you. It's a great opportunity to get in touch with a scottish fellow.

I'm already waiting for your answer.

Take care.

Yours friendly.

Hi, I have no problems to correspond in both languages, could you please remind me when you will travel? As I have not seen this info in your request. To answer your question about renting a boat for the caledonian I would advise you to surf the web and shop around, their are short breaks available and longer up to 4 weeks. Now what the other question regards, I know a Catle for accommodation who is the Glenn Garry Castle Hotel who is not to expensif for the quality. But this one is open for a certain period in the year. The area is quite impressif as it is situated on the shores of Loch Oich. Now theire is no Castle in Scotland where their is no ghost or spirit about. Even in Castle ruines some spectres have found that they are happy in the place. So I hope that this whas somewhat instructive should you need more specific info please feel free to ask. Just one more thing I am used to organise tours in scotland as this is my daily job. Kind regards. Chris Piccini

Hi Chris🙂,

Thanks for your answer and your time. I'll check your advices on the web. We'll be in Scotland from the 31th of august and the 27th of september. We'd like to one way cruise the Caledonian canal, from Corpach to Inverness (or from North to South), but it's not that easy (for me) to get informations on the web.Maybe it will be easier in Scotland(tourist office), i'll see... We are not used to tours, we travel alone for 20 years around the World, and generally don't share most of tourists'points of interest, so we often escape from touristic places. Anyway, I do appreciate your help and availability.Where is your office?

Take care,

Pascal aka Yellowmop.
