Tu vas faire un somptueux voyage si tu aimes l'authentique et le dépaysement... mais tu as raison de t'inquiéter sur les produits à emporter en cas de pépin car dans la grande île et surtout dans la brousse tu te replonges au Moyen-Age !!!
Le palu sévit toute l'année mais surtout en période chaude et sur les côtes: d'octobre à mai, juin => chaleur, humidité, moustiques, maladies. Donc, il faut voir ton médecin qui va te prescrire un antipalludéen selon le lieu où tu iras ( l'île Sainte-Marie et la côte de Tamatave à Diégo sont à risques avec des souches très dangereuses qui résistent à la nivaquine...il faut prévoir plus fort comme le lariam ou autres )
L'eau est souvent très polluée, ainsi que toutes les boissons locales (bière...) prévoir des cachets pour stériliser l'eau. La turista est souvent au rendez-vous, donc de l'immodium ou équivalent avec des antibiotiques.
On peut se blesser et s'infecter... une trousse de soins
Et pour les malgaches complètement démunis, amener des médicaments qu'il faut remettre à des centres de soins...pas aux gens, il y a des risques d'une mauvaise utilisation.
Pour ta valise, remplis la de vêtements que tu ne comptes pas ramener pour les donner aux populations qui seront ravies d'un tel cadeau. Pense aux enfants des écoles avec des bics ou autres...ils sont très demandeurs.
Tu verras, le peuple malgache est adorable et très attachant... si tu peux leur apporter un peu de joie, ton voyage n'en sera que plus inoubliable !

Concernant les médicaments à emmener, un traitement anti palu est conseillé en préventif. Lariam est fort et peu déclencher des réactions allergiques, voir avec un médecin pour une prophylaxie en zone palu résistant. Possibiité en plus aussi de se munir de traitements curatifs nouveaux et encore efficaces comme Arsumax ou Artesunate ou autre à base d artemisinine afin de se traiter en cas de doute. Il est préférable de le prendre en assoc avec un autre anti paludeen pour eviter les futures resistances.
Concernant la boisson, hormis hors des sentiers battus, il y a des bouteilles encapsulées donc pas de pb. On trouve meme un genre de Perrier le Visy gasy (mot d origine : Vichy). On trouve du coca et tt le reste. Donc a moins de faire un trip super roots, ce que je te souhaite, pas de pb avec l eau. Si trip super roots, pourquoi pas du micropur si on peut meme pas emmener de gourdes.
A Tana et dans les grandes villes, l eau est traitée et pas de probleme sauf le gout. Jamais eu de pb de diarrhée avec les boissons en général meme en etant dans des conditions vraiment pas hygiéniques. Eviter les glacons en général sauf si l hotel stipule que c est avec de l eau en bouteille.
Juste éviter les fruits de mer quand on ne peut pas etre sur de la provenance et de la fraicheur, assez risqué en général.
Voila globalement pays safe hormis les problemes de palu endemiques et resistants. Concernant le cholera, la peste et autre trucs sympas, il y en a mais pour attraper ces maladies il faut vraiment mais vraiment le chercher. En gros c est impossible de les avoir dans des conditions normales de vie.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
