Je suis la personne en question qui a annulé son voyage aux USA le parano, l'hypocondriaque, l'oiseau de mauvaise augure sur le forum des voyages intrépides ...
C'est une décision qui n'appartient qu'à vous même, la mienne était sans doute disproportionnée.
Je vous conseillerais juste de vérifier les clauses d'exclusion de votre contrat d'assurance et de voir que vous être bien assuré même en contexte de pandémie.
Si vous annulez votre voyage, vous partirez où puisque le virus est partout dans le monde même en France et encore pire puisque la grippe s'est même propagée sans que les personnes malades aient été au contact de voyageur (lycée Toulouse) -

Je suis allé à l'instant sur le site du "Diario de Yucatan" daté du 20 juin et il y a un article titré "Alerte rouge pour de nombreux cas à Merida" parlant du Yucatan comme la troisième région du pays la plus infectée et avec une épidémie qui grandit comme "une boule de neige" ( ce qui est un comble à Merida!😉 ) Je suis allé de nombreuses fois au Mexique et je suis un peu perplexe: les médias européens en rajoutent-ils pour nous amuser? OU BIEN: Le business du tourisme style "Cancun" essaie-t-il de sauver sa saison 2009 en minimisant le problème?

Habitant dans le Quintana Roo depuis quelques années , j'ai été tres surpris par ton commentaire sur une agravation de la grippe a Merida . J'ai été voir ce matin ( 24/06) sur le site du Diario de Yucatan ou , comme souvent pour ce journal , c'est un peu tout et n'importe quoi . Dans le même article , ils annoncent que le nombre de cas de grippe oblige le gouvernement a autoriser les labos privés a faire les analyses ( avant , seule la madecine de la Securité Sociale etait aurorisée a les faire ) , mais que la "Gobernadora" ( Prefete elue de l'état) se félicitait du nombre réduit de nouveaux cas et du controle de l'épidémie dans le Yucatan ...🤪
En tout cas ici sur la Riviera Maya , tout fonctionne normalement , comme en France donc ou les cas se multiplient aussi et ou les gens se soignent vite et bien de cette grippe ( le nez coule , on tousse ... rien de bien nouveau ni méchant ) .
Les enfants vont a l'école normalement et on a pas du tout l'impressions de leur faire courrir des risques .

Je pars lundi matin pour 3 semaines en itinérant avec une voiture et je commence par 4 jours à Mexico.
Après avoir bien réfléchis et fait la part des choses, nous n'avons rien annulé.
je vais même te citer les propos de mon médecin: grippe A assez contagieuse mais peu virulente en tout cas nettement moins que certaines grippes hivernales chez nous. ne surtout pas prendre de Tamiflu n'importe comment car c'est là qu'on risque de fabriquer une souche résistante.
cet automne, il faut s'attendre à une recrudescence des cas dans nos pays et là les médecins risquent d'être débordés.
donc quitte à l'attraper, il vaut mieux que ça soit maintenant plutôt que cet automne et cet hiver où les médecins seront nettement moins disponibles.
Le ton était un peu humoristique mais le fond était vrai.
Il n'y aura pas des vaccins pour tout le monde et si le virus mute, les vaccins en fabrication aujourd'hui ne seront d'aucune utilité.
Donc je pars confiante, et si je l'attrape tant pis, je suis en bonne santé et je m'en remettrai facilement et au moins je serai immunisée pour cet automne.
En revenant chez moi, je vais faire très attention pendant 7 jours auprès des gens que je risque de cotoyer.
de toute façon, le virus est maintenant partout, même dans ma région en haute Savoie.
Donc que je parte ou non, le risque est le même de l'attraper.

J'ai été 3 semaines aux USA dans l'Ouest en juin/juillet, j'ai fréquenté les aéroports de Paris, Los Angeles, Las Vegas et Atlanta et je n'ai vu nulle part de grippe porcine 😉, les journaux n'en parlent même pas là-bas et je suis revenu en bonne santé (je ne suis pas le seul, regarde tous les carnets de voyage qui ont été crée ces derniers jours...)

Difficile de savoir si c´est si dangereux ou pas. Moi je vis à Mexico DF, depuis 2 ans, le jour ou ils déclaraient la pandémie, je partais au Guatemala, et sans possibilité aucune d´annuler mon voyage. J ai donc fréquenté un paquet de voyageurs mais finalement je continue en bonne santé. Je prends le métro ou pesero casi tous les jours...pas de problème. Quand on voit le nombre de gens qui utilisent le transport en commun, je pense qu´on aurait du avoir des milliers de cas ici, bizarrement ce ne fut pas le cas.
Je précise qu´après avoir été en état d´alerte, la ville de Mexico a repris vie et depuis un moment. On ne parle absolumment plus de la grippe ici.
Selon moi, mais ça n´engage que moi, l´affaire a été bien gonflée, et de toutes façons, comme ça a été dit precedemment, au jour d´aujourd´hui, on peut attraper la grippe en France également, ou dans n´importe quel pays...

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.

Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
