Faut-il un adaptateur pour les prises de courant au Pérou?..dans les Hôtels etc... c'est essentiellement pour recharger les piles de l'appareil photo...😕 j'avoue de pas m' être renseigner là dessus donc je choisis la solution de facilité...merci à vous !
De nazca à Arequipa, y'at-il des bus assez fréquemment et la route est- elle correcte? Est-il judicieux de faire la route de nuit pour gagner une nuit d'hotel? ou alors nous dormons ( Ma tite amie Camille et moi ) à Nazca pour partir au petit matin?
Est-il nécessaire de réserver à l'avance pour le train de huancavelica à Huancayo?
Quelqu'un connait la plage de Chala ? au sud de Nazca. est-ce valable en ce mois de septembre de s'y arréter?

Entre Nazca et Arequipa il n'y a pas de bus le matin, ils partent tous après 15 heures
Train Huancavelica / Huancayo: inutile de réserver
Le Pacifique, sauf dans des baies fermées, est toujours glacial. La plage de Chala est immense, très belle, mais ce n'est pas le genre d'endroit où l'on traine dans l'eau. Si vous voulez faire un arrêt sur la côte je vous recommande Puerto Inka (à 2 heures de Nazca) d'un point de vue esthétique c'est absolument superbe. Vous pouvez coucher sur place car il y a un petit hôtel (la seule construction du lieu)
Puerto Inka...De Nazca tu y vas en taxi ou bus ? et pour continuer sur Arequipa il faut revenir sur Nazca ? je ênse que non ...Les bus doivent s'arrêter par là...apparemment c'est sur la route principale...
Est-il possible de faire la route de nuit de Lima à Nazca ? Désolé j'ai paumé le guide du routard !
Si oui, voilà le programme : arrivée à nazca, survol des lignes, et puis nuit à puerto Inca ( Hôtel bon marché ? ) ..sous tes conseils😉 ...et départ le lendemain pour Arequipa..tu connais la durée du trajet pour y arriver?
Pour aller à Puerto Inka tu prends un bus qui va à Chala (il y en a toute la journée), et tu te fais déposer au croisement, ensuite tu as environ 2 à 3 km à pied pour descendre jusqu'à Puerto Inka.
Pour continuer sur Arequipa tu reviens au carrefour à pied et tu continues sur Chala ou tu reviens à Nazca pour le bus au passage.
Je te signale que le stop marche très bien sur la côte donc pas besoin de s'enquiquiner avec les horaires de bus.
Entre Lima et Nazca il y des bus à tout moment de jour comme de nuit.
L'hôtel est un peu cher, environ 40 dollars la chambre, mais on peut négocier car il n'y a jamais personne en dehors des week ends.
Il est aussi possible de camper
Pour moi le stop ne pose aucun problème au Pérou, j'ai parcouru tout le pays ainsi.
D'Arequipa à Puno ce sont 6 heures de route, à travers des paysages superbes, donc à ne pas faire de nuit !

il faut calculer un peu plus large, car on ne sait jamais si le "macho" part ou non...
je te mets ce qu'on a fait l'an passé:
un combi (6 soles) pour Juliamarca, sur la place devant l’église se trouvent les taxis. pour Licray (6 soles), ensuite un autre taxi pour Huancavellica(12 soles)
3X 2h pour faire les 60 km par trajets.
Pas la peine de réserver, venir vers 6h pour un départ à 6h30 et de prendre les billets à ce moment de 1ere classes avec repas (tu as plus de place)
mais nous le train ce jour là n'est pas parti, alors qu'il avait circule la veille
pour ce qui est des prises de courants, je n'ai jms emporté d'adaptateurs(il y a 23 ans, oui, mais pas ces 2 derniers voyages)
pour choquequirao, si tu tiens absoluement aux porteurs, il n'y a que l'embarat du choix, mais c'est faisable sans(il dfaut pas de charger, tu peux manger a differents endroits)

"Départ 8h de 2900m, le chemin traverse le village, puis s'engage sur un petit chemin de terre à travers champs, jusqu’à un ruisseau, traverser le pont et monter dans une forêt d’eucalyptus. jolie et grande ferme à droite .Monter jusqu’à 2950 m. Au bout de 3h de marche 1er mirador Capuliyoc, des gens vendent des boissons, se mettre anti-moustique pour la descente, le chemin zigzague à flanc jusqu’en bas du canyon. Le chemin caillouteux, poussiéreux descend jusqu’au 1er camping Chikisqa, nous y sommes en 2h30, on peut boire un coup, coca cola, eau (pas de probleme pour l'eau)on peut s’y restaurer aussi, et camper mais il est un peu trop tôt pour ça. Arrivée à Playa Rosalinda à 1550 m, nous avions "planter"notre tente derrière le bar en construction. sous les conseils du jeune gardien qui y vivait avec sa femme et son fils de 1 an, pas de restauration a cet endroit, mais il vend des boissons,
2eme etape
Montée rude après le pont et arrivée à Santa Rosa, à 2233m, on peut y manger et boire on peut aussi y camper il y a des emplacements un peu à l’écart du chemin. progression raide et sinueuse jusqu’au col de Marampa à 2850 m, Passons la barrière et nous retrouvons dans une prairie 5h 30 depuis Playa Rosalinda, en face vue sur le Nevado Quinuaya, , longue traversée, puis on aperçoit le site en bas et au sommet de la montagne en face, on l’impression d’être arrivés mais c'est pas vrai!!....On aperçoit aussi le chemin qui serpente. Le chemin descend puis remonte traverse remonte encore et redescend.... billet d’entrée (10 soles) camping en bas du site
nuit sur le site
puis refaire le chemin inverse jusqu’à Marapata puis redescendre jusqu’à Santa Rosa (3heures)ou tu peux manger
puis re-Playa Rosalinda et la dure montée jusqu'au au campement à 1850m de Chiskisqa, tu peux y souper
3eme etape
depart vers 5h .du mat tu reprend le chemin qui zigzage et qui monte.en 3h30arrivéeau col à 2975m, t il reste encore tout le faux plat et la traverseée de la foret d’eucalyptus (Cachora à 11h15, )
total de la randonnée :60km et 5925 m de dénivelé cumulés en 3 jours
Voili c'est un peu long, mais comme ça tu as le detail, pour les temps, plusieurs parametres, nous ne sommes pas tout jeunes et nous n'avions pas de mules.les mules c'est nous!!

depart 6h abancay(andahuaylas) en bus, route asphaltée jusqu'a l'embranchement de Nazca, puis piste, arret pipi et bouffe vers 9h, au milieu de nul part, mais retau et toilettes, redescente vers andahuaylas et arrivée à 12h 267km en 10h
puis autre bus, pour ayacucho vers 18h45(25 soles)compagnie "los skaskas" piste jusqu'a yacucho arrivée vers 4h 30 du matin(tu peux rester dans le bus pour dormir) Hotels pas loin du terminal, nous sommes allés au "magadalena"20 soles pour les 2 avec sdb
sinon le colca, 2 nuits, le bus qui te ramene fait une pause a la cruz del condor. va manger chez mon pote "danilo" a coshinura et si tu y vas, demande lui si il a recu mes photos

Pour le train je suis sûr qu'il n'y a pas besoin de réserver, à la limite sur place, la veille mais sans plus... bon voyage

cosnirhua se trouve sur le chemin qui descend depuis Tapay vers malata et sangalle apres(le fond du canon)tu verra il y a une grande panneau rouge l'indiquant(on y mange tres bien et pas cher)

C'est bien ce tambillo entre Camana et Arequipa... ensuite à Tambillo la route va vers huancan, huambo puis Cabanacondé...mais bon cela doit être super long et suis pas sûr du moyen de transport pour s'y rendre..
Pour le colca, le plan est déja imprimé et tout et tout...

si tu n'en as l'utilite en france, n'investi pas.Je l'utilise en bivouac et igloo

a l'allée on a payé 10 $ parcequ'on avait rien d'autre(normalement c'est entre 20 et 30 soles)
au retour, le chauffeur ne devait pas etre au courrant de ce qui se pratique il nous a demande 15 soles(on lui en filer 20)
cette année nous sommes allés a l'hotel"la casona" je te donne l'adresse si ca t'interesse c'est a 2 cuadras de la rue de l'union(donc pas loin du centre) et quoique les majorités des gens sur le forum prefere Miraflores et disent que le quartier est pourave, il est pas mal a 30 soles la matrimoniale avec sdb et eau chaude

sinon j'opterai pour l'hotel espana, en plus y'a "guimy" qui y va et qui arrive en même temps que nous à Lima.

A Chala il y a l'"hotel de turista" assez à l'abandon et quelques hôtels bon marché.
A Camana il y a une multitude d'hôtels, mais la ville n'est pas vraiment en bord de mer. Les plages sont au sud de la ville
Des plages tranquilles il y en a 1500 km au sud de Lima ! Et pour cause: l'eau est si froide que personne ne se baigne, juste un peu de trempette vers décembre / février.
D'accord, mais comme j'y serais en décembre, j'aurais bien aimé programmer :

Paracas est une baie sur laquelle flotte l'odeur de la farine de poisson et où l'eau en bordure est assez peu ragoûtante. C'est un lieu pour observer la faune mais pas pour se baigner.
Puerto Inca est un lieu superbe au sud de Nazca, l'eau y est très fraîche. Un excellent endroit pour la méditation.
Sinon il y a les plages au sud de Lima (San Bartolo...) mais qui sont très construites.
Au Pérou les seules vraies plages pour la baignade se trouvent dans le Nord, dans la région de Tumbes.
C'est peut-être bête d'ouvrir un fil pour ça mais en faisant une recherche j'ai rencontré des avis contradictoires sur le standard des prises de courant…

We're planning a trip to southern Chile in November. Here's our tentative itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Santiago, then a flight the next day to Balmaceda where we'll pick up a rental car to reach Coyhaique.
Day 3: Walk in the Coyhaique National Reserve, then continue to Puerto Chacabuco. Return to Coyhaique for the second night.
Day 4: Drive to Villa Cerro Castillo for a hike in the national park. Continue to Puerto Tranquilo and stay there for 3 nights.
Day 5: Boat tour on Laguna San Rafael.
Day 6: Day trip to Monte San Valentin Glacier.
Day 7: Excursion to the Marble Chapels, then drive to Puerto Guadal. We'll stay there for 3 nights.
Day 8: Walk along Lago Carrera and return to Puerto Guadal.
Day 9: Rio Baker Valley and, if possible, a glacier excursion.
Day 10: Drive to Cochrane and hike in Tamango National Reserve. We'll stay 2 nights in Cochrane.
Day 11: Walk in the Chacabuco Valley.
Day 12: Drive to Caleta Tortel. We'll stay there for 2 nights.
Day 13: Cruise in the Rio Baker delta.
Day 14: Return to Cochrane.
Day 15: Return to Balmaceda in two stages.
Day 16: Continue the return journey.
Day 17: Return the rental car and head back to Santiago.
After this, we're also planning to explore northern Santiago. I'll post about that part once I have a clearer idea of the route.
What do you think of this itinerary? Is it doable in 17 days?

I’ve sketched out a rough itinerary but I’m not sure how to arrange it—considering the climate, year-end holidays, and Carnival.
Basically, I’m thinking of the Amazon, the Northeast coast with Lençóis Maranhenses National Park (but skipping Chapada Diamantina),
Ouro Preto, Paraty, and Ilha Grande—but no Rio visit.
Is this doable in 3 months?

Hi everyone, French travelers in Chile—what credit cards do you use for your various car rentals in the country? I’m traveling in September and was planning to switch my regular debit card (a VISA PREMIER in deferred debit mode) for the deposit guarantee.
My rentals are with Figal in Punta Arenas, Econautos in Arica, and Chilean Rent a Car in Temuco, and all of them want the deposit on a credit card. For me, deferred debit *should* work, but I’ve read comments saying the opposite.
How’s it actually working on the ground with these rental companies right now? Will a deferred debit card work, or not at all?

I’m desperately looking for info on the schedules and routes of (shared) boats to visit the islands of Lake Titicaca.
From what I’ve found, there’s a *combi* (bus) that leaves from Puno to go to Llachon. Where do you catch it? What are the schedules and frequency? Does it take about 1 hour?
Then in Llachon, you can take a boat to Amantani (45 min). Same question—where do you check for frequency and schedule?
After that, from Amantani, boats go to Taquile and then Uros. Do you have enough time to visit the islands between two boats? Frequency and schedule?
The goal is to do this tour independently (no agency) over 2 days. Thanks for any tips you might have!
I just got back from a trip to Bolivia and wow—what a wake-up call. It’s not the easiest country, but it’s absolutely stunning.
I started with Isla del Sol, perfect for easing into the altitude at a relaxed pace. Try to stay in the northern part of the island—it’s quieter and the views are insane. And the trout there? Unreal. Quick tip: bring cash in small bills; they almost never have change, and cards are rarely accepted.
Next up, La Paz. The city’s pretty wild, built in every direction. I did a few hikes in the area, including the famous Charquini Lagoon (the blue lake) at over 5,000 m—let’s just say I struggled 😅 but it was so beautiful it was totally worth it.
After that, I headed to Sajama. It’s cool, especially for the hot springs, and I stayed in Tomarapi. But honestly, if you’re short on time, you can skip it without too many regrets.
The highlight of the trip: the Salar. I did it starting from Tupiza, and I *highly* recommend going Tupiza → Uyuni. Way less crowded at the start and the landscapes are super varied. I wrapped up in Sucre—this city is gorgeous, all white, with such a chill vibe. And the salteñas + ice cream? Next level 😋
Bottom line: Bolivia’s a bit rough around the edges, sometimes exhausting (shoutout to the altitude), but it’s 1000% worth it.

I was planning to go to Réunion and stay in half-board accommodation with non-professionals, but it seems that’s not really the custom there—or maybe my budget isn’t big enough.
So, since I’ve already traveled around Ecuador and Peru, I’m now looking at Argentina, especially for its mountains (like the ones in Réunion that tempted me, even though—frustratingly—I could only admire them from below).
I plan to get around by bus and don’t know in advance where I’ll sleep, so I won’t book ahead. If I like a place, I might stay for several days.
I know that in Chile, it’s easy to find half-board accommodation, but what about in Argentina?
I’d like to stay with locals in half-board without it being a professional setup. I’m not sure if this is common practice there. It’s up to me to find someone willing to host me.
What do you think?
What would be a fair price (keeping in mind that 40 to 50 € is the max I can spend on accommodation, breakfast, and dinner)?

We’re heading to Patagonia for three weeks in November, starting from Coyhaique in Chile.
We won’t have a car, and I’m struggling to find information about transportation options for a few parts of the itinerary we’d like to do:
1) From Perito Moreno (the town, near Los Antiguos), we’d like to travel down Ruta 40 to visit Perito Moreno National Park and then cross into Chile via the Paso Roballos (at the latitude of Bajo Caracoles) to reach the road to Cochrane. Without a car, it seems we’ll need to use private agencies to get to the national park—do you have any recommendations or suggestions? Also, does anyone know if it’s possible to cross into Chile via Paso Roballos (from Bajo Caracoles) without a rental car? That is, without having to go all the way down to El Chaltén or back up toward Perito Moreno/Los Antiguos, etc.?
2) The second stretch that seems a bit tricky (though still easier, in theory) is from Caleta Tortel to Villa O’Higgins on the Chilean side. Do we have to go back through Cochrane, or are there ways to get directly from Tortel to Villa O’Higgins?
3) Finally, we’d like to hike into Argentina (El Chaltén) from O’Higgins. Any recommendations for this? Do we need to go through an agency? What’s the estimated duration of the trek?
As you’ve probably gathered, we want to visit some off-the-beaten-path spots but don’t have a car, so we’re looking for the best possible compromises.

we’re planning a round trip from San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, to Salta, Argentina, in two months. On the way there, we’ll take the northern route via Susques, Route 27, then 52. But for the return, we were thinking of taking the southern route via San Antonio de los Cobres, Route 51, then 23. Is it similar to the northern route in terms of road surface? How busy is it, and are there gas stations? Basically, should we be worried about doing it in an SUV that’s supposedly 4x4 but has regular road tires and no second spare wheel, obviously...

we’ll be in Calama at the end of March 2026, and I’m looking for a reliable car rental there for a 7-day road trip to Salta, Argentina. But I’m struggling with the car rental agencies in Calama because the reviews can be scary. I saw Gyg, which has great ratings, but I’m a bit wary (5/5 from 59 reviews—either the guy’s amazing or it’s fake...), but I can’t find any recent reviews on VF in general.
For Punta Arenas, I booked with Dachelet and didn’t have any issues with email exchanges.

Three years ago during a trip to Java (no, I didn’t post in the wrong forum!), I came across the address of former miners who had switched to “tourism” and organized nighttime ascents of the Kawah Ijen volcano and descents into the crater.
