Problem with Sixt in Chile

Hi, I booked a car with Sixt from Temuco to Puerto Montt from 01/27/25 to 02/17/25. On Saturday, I got an email canceling the reservation. But the reservation is still showing up on the website (as of this morning at 9:30 AM). Can’t reach Sixt Chile. Sixt France is also in the dark (they can’t contact Chile either). Has anyone heard anything about this?

Hello again,

Following up on my previous message.

I took a quick look at their social media...

On Facebook, the most recent post (which they haven’t responded to) is from one of their customers asking when they’ll be operational in the southern part of the country.

On X (formerly Twitter), their account is restricted.

I’ll leave the screenshots below.



I guess you’ll come to the same conclusion I did...

On Sixt’s site (French or Chilean), it’s impossible to make a reservation beyond December 31st. It smells like closure. But I find this company’s behavior unacceptable. They don’t warn customers this late.

You’re right, I think we’ll have to find another rental company!!

Mitta seems to offer a good quality/price ratio, but there’s little information about this rental company.
