Oui, j'en suis certaine. J'habite en RD. Je n'ai pas dit qu'il n'y avait pas de moustiques en RD, mais seulement que ce ne sont pas des anopheles (ceux qui donnent le paludisme) - a part vers Haiti. Prenez un bon anti-moustique pour eviter les piqures (en pharmacie uniquement), mais ce serait ridicule de prendre un traitement anti-palu. Maintenant chacun est libre.
Le Ministere des Affaires Etrangeres se protege au niveau sante de ses citoyens et c'est normal. Mais le traitement anti-palu est quand meme balaise et rend beaucoup de gens malades. Il suffit simplement que tu prennes un anti-moustique en pharmacie et que tu portes des vetements couvrant les bras et les jambes pour les soirees.

Les revues spécialisées destinées aux médecins précisent, depuis quelques années, qu'il y a risque de paludisme à Punta Cana. Cependant, le risque est très faible. J'y serai dans quelques jours et j'utiliserai éventuellement un répulsif puissant à base de DEET. Je crois qu'il y a plus de risques de se faire écraser par une voiture en traversant une rue d'Ans que d'attraper le paludisme à Punta Cana. Evidemment, si certaines personnes souhaitent le risque 0 d'attraper cette maladie, rien n'interdit de prévoir un traitement préventif ( toujours essayer le traitement au moins une semaine avant de partir afin de savoir si on le supporte ).

L’Organisation Mondiale de Santé conseille à tout le monde qui voyage en Asie, Amérique latine ou Afrique pour une durée et des circonstances de séjour quelconques d’être protégé contre l’HEPATITE A. La vaccination contre l’hépatite A est particulièrement recommandée pour les personnes qui voyagent dans de moins bonnes conditions d'hygiène, qui séjournent pour de longue durée (par ex. à partir de 2 - 3 semaines) ou qui voyagent fréquemment à l'étranger, même dans de bonnes conditions d'hygiène. Bonjour pour les repulsifs je suis deja partie 3fois labas et la premeiere fois j'avais achete de repulsif en pharmacie ici en Belgique plus de 15euros et sur place je me suis faite piquee plus d une fois.J'ai ete obligee d'acheter un et apres je n etais plus piquee voici le nom du produit: OFF (c'est a base de deet) tu le trouveras partout labas deans les boutiques qui entourent ton hotel ca coute +/-11 dollars.C'est un recipiant orange, avec une famille representee dessus, en dessous du dessin il y a une inscription sur fond bleu:fresh scent. Tu en mets sur toi tous les jours.Mais attention dans touts endroits humide meme de la journee tu retrouves des moustiques meme dans les magasins(c'etait le cas en octobre lorsque j y suis allee).Il ne faut pas non plus attendre la tombee de la nuit pour en mettre les moustiques piquent bien avant.L'odeur n'est pas trop desagreable.Il y a aussi une autre qui a la meme taille elle est de couleurs bleu et comme dessin tu vois une famille invisible representee(tu ne vois que les vetements) je ne sais plus son nom mais elle etait tres efficasse.L'odeur plus desagreable tu avais l'impression de mettre du petrol.
J'ai pense a quelque chose tu peux toujours poser la question a l ambassade de Republiqe Dominicaine pour le paludisme.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
