Bonjour, les répulsifs bio sont un gadget dans des pays ou les moustiques sont très agressifs. Je ne me souviens pas avoir eu des problèmes de moustiques lors de mes passages en Thailande.
Bonjour, c'est peut etre utile en France mais dans les zones infestées et ou traine le paludisme cela n'est pas assez efficace. Le répulsif chimique le plus puissant agrée en France est trop faible c'est peu dire.Les américains disposent de répulsifs beaucoup plus efficaces mais très agressifs pour celui qui les utilise, ce produit fait fondre le plastique !!! il y a eu un reportage la dessus .

Bio ou pas, il vaut mieux se protéger si l'on est un tant soit peu allergique.
En Bio, je ne vois aucun répulsif efficace. Désolée, mais c'est l'efficacité qui compte.
Donc, éviter de se promener en maillot de bain aux heures ou les moustiques casse la croute.
C'est bio et très efficace.
Sinon, les thai vendent un répulsif (sous licence américaine je crois) qui protège a peu près et n'est pas trop irritant pour la peau, il me semble que c'est la marque Johnson, mais je ne l'affirme pas.

Quand on est touriste, ce n'est pas trop dans sa chambre d'hotel que l'on a besoin d'un antimoustique, mais dès que l'on sort pour faire des visites, allez au restaurant, au bar, ...

Je viens en Thailande depuis des années et des répulsifs bios, vraiment bios il y en a très peu. Certaines boutiques les font elles mêmes à base de citronnelle, de camphre, mais il ne faut pas trop espérer d'un seven eleven..
Je me souviens qu'il existait une petite marque qui s'appelait SAMUI NO MOSQUITOES et qui marchait très bien, mais c'était en 2009.
Apres cet incident, j'ai mieux compris, pourquoi sur certaines plages où il y a des pêcheurs, certains se promènent totalement habillé, même couverts sur la figure. C'est parce que ces toutes petites mouches sont extrêmement venimeuses.

Après avoir lu les nombreuses réponses, en ce qui concerne des répulsifs bio, je n'en connais pas vendu dans le commerce mais plusieurs solutions s'offrent à la peau du touriste (et du local) pour lui éviter des piqures trop fréquentes : l'arme absolu est la fumée, (pas les plastiques, ni semelles de tong décrépies bien-sûr, ah ah !) mais la bogue de noix de coco séchée à laquelle on y ajoute de la poudre d'ambre (on en trouve dans les pharmacie), c'est radical mais on n'est plus à l'époque de la guerre du feu où l'on ne se promène plus avec son feu sur le dos !
La bière qui contient de la vitamine B12 et qui par sudation sera un répulsif relativement efficace mais attention, cela reste limité, même si l'on en abuse (de la bière), on ne sentira plus rien et cela ne vous empêchera pas de vous faire piquer, hic ! (en bonus, vous aurez une gueule de bois carabinée, mais là c'est cadeau !)
Sinon, les huiles essentiels, ne pas croire que la plus efficace soit celle de citronnelle (même si elle est relativement efficace, elle sent trop fort et gâchera un repas aux mets délicats). L'huile la plus efficace est celle d"eucalyptus, on peut se la badigeonner sur les parties laissées à l'air libre ou se munir d'un petit brûle parfum ou lampe à huile de temple que l'on glissera judicieusement sous la table, elle est inodore pour nous les humains, les moustiques détestent !
Après, le soir, on peut mettre des chaussettes montantes (c'est chaud, non ?) et un panta-court de toile épaisse en mode "je suis allemand et je le montre", tee-shirt à manche longue... Il restera de toute manière les mains et le visage et là , je ne vois que le Niqab et encore, il faudra qu'il soit de toile épaisse, pas un niqab à trois francs six sous de chez Tati de plus, il faut aussi le savoir la couleur noire attire le moustique et autres insectes... L'ultime solution est d'inviter au resto ou lors de vos soirées une personne que vous n'aimez pas trop, et de la laisser venir en short et en tong, par contre vous serez obligés de vous le farcir, alors faudrait-il mieux se faire piquer un tout petit peu ?

The latter is planning a trip to Paris this summer, but she recently fell ill, and American doctors don’t know what’s wrong. I had the idea of letting her take advantage of her trip to get treated here, avoiding the high healthcare costs of the American system in the process. The problem is, I can’t find anything online about this—just testimonials from French people who used to be American, but nothing for a simple tourist.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.

We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?

I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. We’d like to know if there’s a real risk of Zika contamination on those islands, because from what we’ve found online, the recorded cases are old and come from the Sotavento Islands.

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
Have any of you been in this situation before? How does it work at customs—do I need to declare everything that exceeds the 3-month limit? Do I need a letter from my doctors?

I often have unexplained allergies and need to follow a daily treatment for my diabetes (insulin). I think I can get authorization from my doctor to travel for 6 months with the treatment—is that correct? After those 6 months, is it possible (instead of bothering a relative to send the medication) to see a foreign doctor to get another 6-month travel authorization? How does it work at the airport? We’ve planned a 3-week trip to Bali this summer with our 7-year-old daughter. The itinerary includes Sanur, Nusa Lembongan, Sidemen, Amed, and Ubud. The more time passes, the more we read about people getting sick—some with mild to severe traveler’s diarrhea, and many ending up in the hospital. We, as parents, have been through it in Egypt with pretty bad cases, but we’d really like to avoid that for our daughter.
