Je lis depuis quelques jours les messages sur le Maroc et je voudrai soumettre quelques questions.
Je pars du 4 au 11 juillet (strasb-marrakech A/R vol sec) avec ma fille de 11ans (moi H de 39a).
Pour elle c'est une première au Maroc.
Je souhaiterais pour cette semaine allier Mer et Montagne.
voici mon plan.
Arrivée le V 04/07 fin d'aprem marrakech, ballade et Nuit dans la Médina.
S 05/07 journée sur Marrakech pour visiter. premier Dilèmne : Location de voiture en fin d'aprem pour partir directement dans la vallée de l'ourika et dormir sur place pour démarrer tot le dimanche matin. (p-e un conseil pour une nuit chez des gens sympas) ou bien dormir encore a Marrakech et partir le lendemain matin en bus, ou taxi collectif.
Est-il possible de faire une journée avec voiture de location ce trajet.
Vallée de l'ourika puis demi-tour vers Oukaïmeden puis route (P2030 et P2028) jusqu'a Asni.
Nuit du dimanche 06/07 à asni ou je pousse encore jusqu'àa ouirgane ou ijjoukak ?
Lundi 07/07 matin reprise de la route direction taroudant. nuit a taroudant
Mardi 08/07 reprise de la route vers agadir (enfin la plage pour ma fille...)
Quelqu'un connait des plages pas trop venteuses, agréables pour se baigner ?
s'il faut, comme j'ai lu qu'agadir n'était pas top, je peux remonter plus haut...
Mercredi 09/07 j'aimerais rencontrer des pêcheurs et manger du poisson grillé en toute simplicité. A essaouira p-e ? marché aux poissons et grillades sur la grille au café des berbères juste à côté ( je ne me rappelle plus où j'ai lu cela...)
Nuit du mercredi au jeudi, je ne sais pas trop où mais je dois me rapprocher tout doucement de marrakech.
Il y a quoi à voir sur la façade ouest (chichaoua ?).
Et je pense rentrer le 10/07 dans l'après midi a marrakech pour profiter d'un bon Hammam gommage massage, mais existe-t-il un endroit où je peux laisser ma fille, ou peut-elle aller seule dans la partie femme ?? ou restera-t-elle au Riad réservé ??

Tu es en plein Ramadan. Adapte donc tes horaires et tes destinations à cela.
En dehors des lieux vraiment touristiques, beaucoup de choses et particulièrement les restaurants sont fermés toute la journée, impossible de se rafraichir à la terrasse d'un café.
De environ une heure avant le coucher du soleil à une heure et demie après, tu ne trouveras aucun marocain dans la rue, tous les magasins sont fermés, et les transports s'arrêtent, pour repartir après la rupture du jeune.
Donc par exemple, ta rencontre de pêcheurs pour manger du poisson grillé, tu oublies complètement.
Donnes toi le temps pour les trajets, l'objectif n'est peut être pas de faire "beaucoup", mais "sympa"
Essaouira est paradoxalement, une ville où on se couche assez tôt, même en plein Ramadan, à minuit il n'y a plus personne dans les rues.
J'éviterais Taroudant, généralement chaude, et pas très intéressante pour une enfant. Essaye plutôt de te trouver une chambre d'hôtes en campagne, où tu puisses te poser un jour ou deux, ou à Essaouira.
Je rejoins Mezgarne sur son avis, le mois de ramadan change complètement l'ambiance. On aime ou on n'aime pas, mais il faut s'adapter. Vous serez plus tranquilles si vous louez une voiture, car par exemple en taxi ou en bus public vous ne pourrez pas consommer d'eau en journée malgré la chaleur, au risque de fortement déplaire à la population locale. Sans parler des pauses déjeuner, goûter, etc...
Attention aussi au trajet Asni - Taroudant qui n'est pas de tout repos, puisque vous passerez par le Tizi n Test, l'un des deux cols les plus hauts et les plus dangereux du pays (l'autre étant le Tizi n Tichka, entre Marrakech et Ouarzazate).
La région d'Asni - Ouirgane - Lalla Takerkoust est très belle mais très chaude, malgré la fraîcheur que procure l'eau omniprésente (rivière, barrages...) Le mieux est de visiter cette région au printemps.
Taroudant aussi est très chaude en été (45° quand je l'ai visitée en août dernier, j'ai failli tomber dans les pommes)
La ville d'Agadir n'est pas très intéressante, mais bien pratique pour se loger et se baigner facilement. En effet la ville regorge d'hôtels en tous genres, et la grande plage est agréable et accessible à pied depuis le centre ville.
Cela dit je préfère les plages au nord et au sud d'Agadir, plus sauvages. Au sud : Aglou, Mirleft (préférer les plages isolées à l'écart des villages, quitte à laisser la voiture sur la falaise pour descendre à pied), Legzira. Au nord : Tamri, Imsouane, Tafedna. Un gros coup de coeur pour Imsouane qui possède une "baie intérieure" protégée par une avancée de terre. L'été étant la saison basse pour les surfeurs, ça signifie tarifs réduits et marées plus douces pour les non sportifs :)
Je connais aussi une excellente adresse dans l'arrière pays d'Agadir, à Oulad Teima. Il s'agit d'une grande ferme tenue par un jeune couple absolument adorable. Le logement y est luxueux mais simple et de bon goût, les animaux de compagnie craquants, et la cuisine à tomber par terre. Une belle piscine et un lac plein de grenouilles viennent couronner le tout. Il n'y a pas grand chose à faire, à part se reposer et se balader dans l'oliveraie. Ça constitue aussi un bon pied-à-terre pour qui veut découvrir la région tout en restant pas trop loin de la ville. Si ça vous intéresse, je vous communiquerai leurs coordonnées en privé.
Autre chose, à côté d'Amskroud, région d'Agadir, j'ai découvert par hasard une grotte impressionnante qui s'appelle Wintimdouine. Elle est dotée d'une piscine semi-naturelle (ils ont laissé le sol en pierres et mousse, et ont monté des murs autour pour retenir temporairement l'eau qui s'écoule de la grotte, et en faire une piscine). La vue est imprenable, le paysage magique. Il s'agit, je crois, d'une des plus grandes grottes d'Afrique, d'après mes recherches sur internet. Sa faune et sa flore sont étudiées depuis quelques années seulement, et aux dernières nouvelles l'accès intérieur en est interdit par un grillage à cause du risque de se perdre et d'y rester... ! Par contre pour y accéder, avoir son propre véhicule est obligatoire (voiture de tourisme possible, à condition de bien tolérer la piste pentue à flanc de montagne!)
Si vous allez dans la région d'Essaouira, il est possible de visiter le vignoble du Val d'Argan. N'ayant jamais mis les pieds dans un vignoble auparavant, j'étais contente de voir ça de plus près. Mais peut-être avez-vous l'habitude de ce genre de choses :)
Dernier point, concernant votre fille, vous pouvez tout à fait la laisser seule côté femmes au hammam, en vous assurant que quelqu'un prendra soin d'elle de bout en bout. A vous de voir si la petite acceptera de se laisser manipuler par des étrangères dans un lieu inconnu ! Ça peut être un peu intimidant la première fois.

J'ai bien pris conscience que la vie va sans doute tourner au ralenti et j'en tiendrai compte sur place.
Néanmoins j'essayerai quand même de trouver un bon poisson à griller. j'irai le pêcher s'il le faut 😉😉

Donc Marrakech J1J2 - essaouira - J3J4 - et un peu de montagne qd même sur la fin.
Effectivement, compte tenu des circonstances: ramadan et chaleur estivale il vaut mieux rester dans les villes côtières les plus touristiques.
J'opterais pour Agadir car de là, tu as un tas de choses à faire et à voir (Taroudant à moins d'une heure, Imsouane pour les pêcheurs, pique-nique dans la vallée du Paradis, plage de Legzira...etc). Tu peux y louer ta voiture pour sillonner (250dhs maxi) en t'y rendant en bus depuis Marrakech (10 départs/jour pour 100dhs, voir sur ONCF)
Depuis Marrakech si tu veux un peu de montagne: la vallée de l'Ourika, possible sur une grosse journée.
Vendredi 4 arrivée 16h donc vers 17h au Riad Réservé Perle d'orient pour 2 nuits.
Première soirée sur la place pour s'impregner un peu et surtout manger un bon petit plat.
Le Samedi 5, jardin, palais, place et piscine au riad pour se rafraichir un peu
Le dimanche 6, en partant tôt le matin de Marrakech en voiture de location, est-il possible de faire la vallée de l'ourika jusqu'a setti fatma
faire demi tour et rejoindre Asni mais en passant par Oukaimedem. 170km mais en montagne... ???
j'ai trouvé un riad vraiment sympa a Asni.
et comme ca le lendemain le lundi 07 je descends la route et je fais le col de tizi'n test jusqu'a taroudant. Riad trouvé egalément. (je loupe le souk de la vallée du lundi mais peut-etre moins important pdt le ramadan ?)
et le reste des journées (8-9-10) aux nord d'agadir sur les plages que vous m'avez tous cité. et imspouane pour le poisson.
Puis dernière nuit pas très loin de l'aéroport car je ramene la voiture à 6h et vol à 8h le vendredi 11.

Then, when I mentioned I wanted to stay for two or three weeks—maybe even a month—explaining that my trip wouldn’t be strictly touristy but more of a pilgrimage to the places of my childhood, and that it would likely be a very emotional journey, I expected a positive and warm reaction to my approach. Instead, I suddenly stopped getting replies from the three or four people I’d contacted. So now I’m wondering about the reception former Pieds-Noirs can expect...

- Does it need to cover the entire duration of the trip?

I’d like to do a route that’s a bit different from my first stay, which was more focused on cities and culture (Tunis, Sousse, Kairouan, El Jem).
I’ll be getting around by public transport.
I’d like to head south toward Tozeur, and I saw that you can take a *louage* from Monastir to Sbeitla (2h30). I imagine it’s not too complicated to get to Tozeur from there afterward? The issue is the return trip to Monastir and safety in Sbeitla.
If this route seems too complicated, I might opt for Djerba instead, which looks simpler.

After that, I have the choice of heading back to Tangier for my return flight... or going down to Agadir (also a possible return flight) and extending my trip by 5 days :)
From what I can tell, everything is well connected by bus (CTM) or train (ONCF).
Another question: Is the vibe in Moroccan youth hostels for meeting people the same as what you’d find in Western Europe?

(though there are fraudulent sites out there). On the official site, they ask for legitimate info
(name, nationality, etc.). What made me go "hmm" was the request for both an email address

A lot of people find it important to stick to their budget when traveling—not to skimp, but to visit as many places as possible since traveling is their hobby.
In this post, I want to share some tips for those coming to Morocco who want their trip to be budget-friendly.
1. Prebook everything: hotels or riads, car rentals, or tours. If you book these in advance, it’ll make your life easier. You won’t have to deal with hagglers or people trying to overcharge you for services that are available online for free. Use platforms like Booking, Expedia, carsrental.ma, Airbnb, and other booking services to get this done properly.
2. Exchange your money to Moroccan dirhams as soon as you land. 1 € is always a little over 10 dirhams, but many people get charged as if it were exactly 10 dirhams per euro.
3. When visiting an old site or the old medina, avoid talking to vendors and shop owners—they’re really good at getting your attention and making you overpay for things.
4. Ask your tour guide to buy things for you. Yes, they do get a commission, but you’ll probably pay way more if you buy something yourself that they can get cheaply.
5. Walk everywhere. You don’t need a taxi for every little trip. Pick a good location and walk—most Moroccan cities are safe during normal hours.
6. Buy your food, drinks, etc., from supermarkets at normal prices. They can’t overcharge you since they scan every product.

I’m planning my next trip outside Europe for next year, but unfortunately, I don’t have a choice with the dates—it’s late June to early July. Last year, I went to Japan for three weeks, and it was constantly 36-37°C with over 90% humidity. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t impossible either.
For Egypt, I know it’s a period to avoid if possible, but I’m thinking that by the sea, it might be manageable. Otherwise, I’ll consider another destination.
