Bonjour, alors voila au mois de novembre j'ai la possibilité de partir eux semaine à Dakar pou faire de l'humanitaire.
Je suis très emballée seulement j'ai peur du paludisme, j'ai peur de l'attraper alors je voulais savoir si au mois de novembre c'était risqué ou non et avoir de vos conseils. car du coup je ne sais plus quoi faire paratgé entre lenvi de partir et la crainte d'attraper le paludisme.

Il y a des moustiques toutes l'année dans les grandes villes, eau d'arrosage, eau stagnante, etc..
Bien sur à la saison des pluies il y en a plus !!
Ou tu te drogue pour ne pas en mourir, car les médicaments préventifs évitent la mort mais pas la maladie, ou tu fait surtout attention le soir : manche longue, chaussette et pantalon, le tout imprégné de répulsif, spray 5/5 sur le reste de la peau qui dépasse des vétements, et dormir sous moustiquaire ..
Ces bestioles attaquent à la fin du jours (quand il fait moins chaud) et attaquent par le bas, quand ils arrivent aux orreilles c'est trop tard, ils sont déjà passés par les pieds et les jambes non couvertes !
Ne pas croire que le pallu s'atrappe automatiquement !! non, il sufit de faire attention, dés que tu crois avoir la grippe ?? court chez le toubib pour une prise de sang (goute épaisse) pour un test sur le pallu, même de retour en France 15 jours aprés !! (je sais de quoi je parle)

Le pire au Sénégal c'est le mois d'Aout comme aujourd'hui il pleut làbas depuis ce matin et l'assainissement laisse à désirer, mais pas au mois de Novembre. Ne prends surtout pas de lariam et paludrine qu'on te prescrira ici en France, tu seras plus malade qu'autre chose .Dans les pharmacies au Sénégal tu trouveras tout ce don tu auras besoin en cas de fièvre.Ne te tortures pas le cerveau vas y tu ne le regretteras pas .Les changements de climat brusque sont pires que les moustiques du Sénégal pour les risques de fièvre.....Profites de cette occasion qui t'est donné...

Tu connais le Sénégal? Tu as déjà fais de l'humanitaire? Tu viens en groupe avec des amis ou seule? Quelle est cette association à Dakar. Parce qu'à 16 ans, venir ici, il ne faut pas seulement avoir peur d'attraper le paludisme. Sinon, pour cette maladie, un traitement préventif léger + répulsif et moustiquaire feront l'affaire. Le palu ne tue que si l'on ne se soigne pas

Je suis désolé d'intervenir, je connais bien le Sénégal et je suis aussi père de famille...
C'est un pays où les gens sont gentils et accueillants d'une manière générale, mais je ne laisserai jamais ma fille de 16 ans partir seule (même accompagnée de deux copines) et être reçue par une association dont déjà tu ne te souviens plus du nom, et accueillie par "quelqu'un".
Il me paraît essentiel déjà de se renseigner sur la qualité et les fondements de cette "association". Bien que l'Ambassade soit souvent considérée comme "un bidule" (cf Karl Zero), essaye de te renseigner auprès d'elle...

Désolé je n'avais pas vu ton age.A 16 ans il faut partir en voyage avec ses parents surtout pour des endroits si loin.N'oublie pas jeune fille que tu es encore mineure, même si tes parents te laissent une certaine liberté.

Je passe avec mon épouse tous les hivers au Sénégal et je connais les risques énormes pour les jeunes filles même à trois. Alors pas question "d'aventure" qui risque de très mal se terminer. Et au contraire également de tes conseils, je suggère comme beaucoup d'autres : PAS D ANTI PALUDEENS PREVENTIFS!!Ils vous bousillent le foie et vous rendent malade durant les vacances.
Donc tous les conseils pour se prévenir des moustiques, et partir accompagnés d'adultes, voilà mon conseil.A 16 ans sans expérience pour une fille c'est trop tot. Voilà!

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
