voila je pars a Dakar mi novembre et je me demandais quand faut il que je voye mon medecin traitant pour mettre mes vaccins a jour?Pour le vaccin de la fievre jaune si je ne me trompe pas ça se fait au dernier moment et sur paris

Donc tu peu y aller maintenant, car c'est OBLIGATOIRE
Prévoir AUSSI une bonne protection contre les moustiques (le palu est une maladie mortelle)

tu n'es pas obliger d'aller sur paris, perso je l'ai fait sur angers et mes parents à nantes (plus proche de chez nous), renseigne toi dans le groupe hospitalier le plus important d'un grande ville proche de chez toi.
effectivement il est valable 10 ans et sans rappel, pas besoins d'attendre le dernier moment au contraire le plus tôt est le mieux car des effets secondaires (pas trop grave) peuvent apparaitre, dans ce cas autant être chez soi si ça arrive.
pour les autres médicaments contre palu, diarrhée, mal de ventre... une consultation quelques jours avant le départ est souhaitable
il te fo le vaccin de la fievre jaune, tu pe le faire a Tours, Paris ou a l'aeroport . moi je te conseil de le faire une semaine avant de partir car le vaccin est fort ( ca depends des personnes ) . je te conseil aussi celui de l hepatite, pas obligatoire mais plus prudent .
Les vaccins tu peux les faires dans le CHU le plus près de chez toi au centre des voyages!
Moi j'avais fait la fièvre jaune, 20 jours avant le départ pour pouvoir me remettre éventuellement des effets secondaires, mais j'y ai échappé! 😛
Vaccin fievre jaune une semaine avant de partir...ben comme ça, si tu es malade, c'est pendant ton voyage !! Je l'ai eu 3 fois le vaccin, une seule fois malade (le 10 eme jour) mais ça arrive... Vu sa durée de vie au vaccin, le plutôt, c'est le mieux... Par contre, ne pas oublier de dire que pour les moustiques, manches longues, chaussettes et répulsif vers 18 heures, c'est trés efficace !!

Je me pose des questions sur l'éfficacité des traitements anti paludisme, mais aucun doutes sur les effets secondaires négatif pour la santé (perte de la vue ? )
Parait-il que le palu se soigne très bien si c'est pris de suite. même en Afrique. J'ai enttendu parlé de la goutte épaisse ? comme test.
Je pense que les Africains n'ont pas tous les moyens de ce soigner ce qui fait des morts.
Ca fait 28ans que je parcours les Antilles du N au S en passant par la Guyane et les Canaries, je reviens du Sénégal, sans jamais avoir pris un médicament contre ce PALU. ni même mousticaire.
Je suis bien vacciné contre la fièvre jaune, je me demande si je vais renouveller ce vaccin.
Je vais m'installer en Afrique en fin d'année, je ne prendrai jamais 365 comprimés par an.
Il est ou le risque ? prendre un comprimé qui vous tue lentement ou prendre le paludisme qui ce soigne.
De + + jamais un douanier ou un policier ne ma demander mon carnet de vaccination ou un certificat de logement. Faut pas paraitre clochard.....

Par contre protection exterrieure au maximum !! dés 17/18h, du spray 5/5 sur les parties du corps qui dépassent des vétements // couchage sous moustiquaire // etc .... mais pas de médicaments !!
Pour la fiévre jaune !! déjà un 1er point = c'est OBLIGATOIRE !! et c'est demander (et contrôlé) à certain passage de frontière terrestre (en voiture) !! et une piquouse tout les 10 ans ?? ça ne fait pas si mal que ça !!
Houai !! je ne connais pas " la goutte épaisse", mais je connais "faire une lame" !! ça doit être la même chose !! = le toubib te prend une bonne goutte de sang, et mis entre 2 "lames" de verre dans un microscope il y voit ou non si tu as le palu ou une bonne grippe !! (ça se soigne pareil )
Je ne pense pas faire dutout = ni le clodo ni le (bon) pigeon quand je voyage en Afrique !! mais pour un "uniforme" en Afrique, c'est un BLANC (toubabou ou toubab ou encore tonton etc..) qui arive avec cette grosse voiture !! et il y a certainement de quoi y prélever quelque chose !! le probléme c'est qu'avec moi, il n'y a rien à donner, surtout si c'est basé sur un contrôle bidon avec le but de me soutirer de l'argent !!
Quand je voyage = je n'ai pas l'air d'un millionnaire (non) et je suis bien loin de ressembler à un clodo !!

si faut craindre le puludisme faut rester chez soit, les fumeurs ne craignent pas le cancer.
je te conseille de ne pas faire ton vaccin de le fièvre jaune au dernier moment car il peut y avoir des effet secondaires et c mieux de les avoir en france
je te conseille aussi de faire celui de l'hépatite A.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
