J'aimerais avoir votre avis sur l'utilité de faire un traitement anti-palu, alors que ce sera l'hiver là bas . J'hésite vraiment, puisque c'est un traitement lourd ( durée du séjour et 4 semaines au retour : 7 semaines ) .....
Nous prendrons beaucoup de vêtements longs et avons acheté le spray anti moustique 5/5.
Bref je ne suis pas du tout motivée, mais en même temps je sais que c'est une maladie grave quand nous l'attrapons .

Le traitement (savarine pour L'Inde du Nord) coûte cher et est plein de désavantages mais pourtant c'est bel et bien indispensable. Pour avoir eu le palu, je n'hésiterai pas une seconde.. ça peut gâcher + qu'un voyage, croyez moi !
je vais aussi acheter le spray anti moustiques 5/5 et la prise de la même marque, combien l'avez-vous acheté ? Combien en avez vous pris pour votre séjour ?
salut je te deconseille vivement de prendre un traitement anti-paludique...

cela fait plusieurs années que je fais des etudes en medecine orientale etc.......
je te conseille de demander a ton medecin le medicament RIAMET qui est le plus naturelle de tous a base de medecine chinoise, il faut le prendre seulement si tu as les symptomes de la malaria

mais bon fait attention en ce moment en inde il y a des epidemies de palu, de dengue et de chinkuguya....
Je deconseille egalement le traitement alors meme que j'ai eu le pallu il y a 2 ans, votre itineraire ne me semble pas comporter de risques.D'ailleurs le traitement n'est pas efficaces a 100% et peut etre un obstacle a un traitement curratif... avous de voir.
Au fait 5/5 c'est de la merde !!! Comme tous ceux que j'ai essayes !! Seul le Autan jaune en spray etait efficace mais on ne le trouve plus(en tout cas chez moi) et en plus il donnait des demangeaisons !!!
Alors soir et matin manches longues en plus du spray et Mosquito net pour la nuit.Mais ne vous en faites pas vous ne devriez pas croiser d'anophele sur cet itineraire, le risque est minime en inde, a part dans de rares zones.

Je repart le 9.2 en Inde du Sud cette fois ci Bombay, Calcutta, Goa. Lors de mon dernier voyage février 06 j'avais pris le traitement contre le palud. j'ai fait des reactions a mon retour que le médecin m'a dit d'arrêter cette fois ci je ne sais que faire.

Je pars la semaine prochaine en Inde pour 6 mois ou plus (selon feeling) et ma décision et de ne pas faire de traitement compte tenu de la durée de mon séjour. Le cout n'a pas été pris en compte dans ma reflexion, car il s'agit de santé, et en plus je n'ai aucune idée sur une longue période ce ce qu'il peut être. Si j'ai l'occasion, j'essaierai de donner un retour sur mon voyage pour partager avec vous sur ce point.
Coté palu, ce sera donc:vêtements, sac de couchage et sac à dos traités au répulsif (acheté au centre de vaccination d'Air France à Paris ... sans trop savoir quel est le meilleur produit)Moustiquaire traitée industriellement et garantie 5 ans d'efficacité (sur conseil du personnel naviguant vers l'Asie d'Air France, ca me parait mieux que de le faire soi-même ...)anti-moustique en spray et crème, 2-3 bouteille au départ et ensuite j'achèterais sur place le produit que les locaux me recommandentrespect des consignes sur les horaires les plus critiques (soir et milieu de nuit, mettre des mances longues et pantalons etc...)La probabilité de contracter le palu me parait suffisamment faible avec ces précautions comparée à l'inconvénient d'un traitement. En cas de pb, traitement post-curatif prévu en fonction des recommandations médicales locales (probablement Malarone ou Hlfan ... j'emporte une boite au cas d'urgence en zone isolée mais pas encore choisi quoi)
Voila ... plus qu'une chose a dire ... faites vos propres choix c'est ce qu'il y a de mieux pour vous guider !

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
