Quand il s'agit de sa santé, je ne comprends pas que l'on puisse dire que cela coûte trop cher! cela est irrecevable!🤪 De toute façon, je ne demande pas ce genre de renseignement sur un forum cela est à la charge de ton médecin de te prescrire le médicament adéquat!!!!
Alors, la question qui revient toujours est ce qu'un pays d'afrique noire n'est pas difficile pour une femme, déjà, je ne comprends pas que tu poses cette question car tu es déjà aller au Mali, as tu des pbls? Alors raisonnes pareil pour le Bénin!!!! Les femmes toubabs les africains les respectent pas de pbl, il faut avoir une tenue vestimentaire correcte et que les rapports soient aussi correctes!!! dans tous les pays d'afrique noire c'est comme cela!!!

Les médicaments contre le palu sont bien moins cher à Natitingou qu'en Europe, mais le problème est que tu dois commencer à prendre des profylaxes quelque semaines avant le voyage. Moi-même je ne prends rien (à conseiller uniquement pour les personnes qui résident sur place, pour un voyageur qui vient de l'Europe il est fortement conseillé de prendre un profylaxe), donc je ne peux pas te conseiller pour le profylaxe. Si j'ai une crise de palu (très peu heureusement) je prends des médicaments génériques à moins d'un euro qui m'ont toujours guerrit en quelques jours. Le seul vrai conseil que je peux te donner est d'éviter à tout prix le Lariam. Un de mes amis s'est suicidé après avoir pris de Lariam, et un autre avait après traitement anti-palu avec le Lariam pendant 6 mois de fortes troubles psychologiques.

Tu reste un mois entier, donc tu serais obligè a prendre le produit pour combien des semaines avant et apres....
Quand tu arrive a Cotonou il faut acheter ARINATE 100mq, ( il coute 2800 cfa presque 4 euro); ils sont 5 comprimès a prendre dejà quand tu te sent fatiguè, avec la paresse (sont dejà le premier sintom), et ça te va a stopper la maladie tout de suite. Il faut acheter le produit au Sud, car pour le Nord c'est un produit trop cher (sigh).

a mon avis, c'est plus dangereouse prende des vrai bomb chimique, que un produit a base d'artemisia, la seul plante qui arrete immediatament la proliferation de la maladie. Et quant a l'interdition au Camerun, je pense qui vont a utiliser des autres produits ( a chacun son marchè). En Afrique presque la totalitè de la mortalitè pour le palud, sont les enfants des villages dans la brousse, et qui leur parents non pas la possibilitè d'acheter ces produits; c'est vrai qu'il ya des autres risques plus important que le palu.
Pour mon compte, c'est plus des 20 ans que je voyage travers le Benin, Togo et Burkina et Arinate c'est la meilleure solutions pour le moment que j'ai trouvè, la seul fois que j'ai utilisè le Lariam, j'ai passè le plus terrible de mes sejours en Afrique...ça meme je ne suis pas un docteur ( mais en Europe les medecins te vont a charge' d'une totalitè des risques et des fobies que apres tu n'as plus envie de partir...).
Ca meme il faut savoir que quand on prendre la maladie, dans le sang on l'aura pour tojours, ( moi je l'ai mais je suis meme donateur du sang, il n'a rien de terrible)
En tous cas a Tanguietà a cotè de Natitingou, il ya un tres bon hopital (S.Jean de Dieu), il n'ya rien d'avoir peur.
Je pense que tous les informations possible doivent etre posè, surtout les information sur les produits qu'on peut trouver facilment sur place, si on ne fai pas de prophilax

J ai travaillé quelques semaines en Guinée ( Guinée forestiere )
Je prenais du Lariam ( delivré sur ordonnance car tout le monde ne le supporte pas )
j ai été piqué mais n'ai jamais eu la moindre crise de palu .
Les africains qui etaient avec moi ont eu plusieurs crises qui se manifestent chez eux
par une grande fatigue et une sorte d'etat grippal . Ils vont au dispensaire pour se faire
faire une injection ( propreté des aiguilles ??? ) et au bout de 3 jours sont de nouveau d'aplomb.
A Cotonou tu verras plein d'echoppes ou d'etals avec des plaquettes de medicaments, certains
exposés en plein soleil. pas mal de medicaments perimés ou de contrefaçon.
A eviter absolument .
Je pense que le mieux est d'amener ta propre pharmacie pour ces 3 mois.
la malarone est egalement chére environ 43 Euros la plaquette de 12 comprimés, un à prendre par jour.
Prend aussi pommade antimycosique .
Je ne connais que la cote Beninoise et je pense que tu ne risqueras rien de jour.
Je me suis balladé seul dans Cotonou sans crainte
Par contre dans la capitale, mieux vaut etre prudente dans certains quartiers une fois la nuit tombée. trouve toi un guide pour t'escorter si tu sors tard.

Je te déconseille vivement le Lariam (je crois que je ne suis pas le seul).
En ce qui concerne l'achat de médicaments, il vaut mieux les acheter à Cotonou, pas au vendeurs de rues bien sûr, mais en pharmacie. Je te conseille celle de Camp Guezo: on y trouve de tout. C'est inutile de s 'encombrer de médicamants et autres désinfectants alors que tu trouves les mêmes là-bas.

Je suis allée consulter en médecine tropicale et c'est finalement avec Doxypalu que je partirai et une boîte de Malarone en curatif si toutefois je ne supporte pas la Doxy. Ma "trousse à pharmacie" est constituée. Je recommande d'ailleurs vivement la pharmacie de l'avenue de St Ouen (proche métro) où vous êtes très bien conseillé et où les prix sont ultras compétitifs !

Le 2 Mai je pars 4 mois au Benin pour un stage et je serai aussi dans la régoin de Natitingou. Merci pour tes questions car c'était exactement celles que je me posaient. Je vais aussi prendre la Doxy et je voulais savoir ce que tu amenais dans ta trousse de pharmacie.

le meilleur compromis prix/efficacité/tolérance: la doxicycline (tolexine 100: 1 par jour) avec 1 mois de traitement au retour
les problêms de photosensibilisation solaire sont variables selon les individus ( moi ras sauf petit eczéma au plis des coudes au bout de 3 semaines mais peut être également pb de transpiration)

J'étais en consultation "maladies tropicales" il y a deux jours. ils ne prescrivent pas le Lariam, parce que trop d'effets secondaires redoutables, mais te proposent de choisir entre Doxypalu, pas cher mais photo sensibilisant et traitement longue durée, et Malarone au traitement plus court et sans problème au soleil, mais 4 fois plus cher ! Dixit le (la, en l'occurrence) médecin, qui voit très bien que tu ne roules pas sur l'or et qu'après avoir payé ton billet d'avion il te reste plein de choses à payer et que tu commences à compter.
Donc, pourquoi ne pas demander leur avis aux personnes qui ont déjà utilisé ces produits ?

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
