Je suis bénévole dans une association humanitaire basée en France et nous devons partir à 4 en véhicule pour le Sénégal fin octobre 2012.
Nous avons donc appelé Action VISA pour obtenir nos VISA pour la traversée de la Mauritanie pour l'allée et le retour.
Le problème :
J'ai expliqué que nous serons à 4 conducteurs et que donc nous ferons un roulement pour la conduite afin de ne pas avoir à s'arrêter dans le pays mise à part pour l’essence.
Mais la petite dame me dis qu'elle a besoin d'une attestation hébergement accompagnée de la photocopie de la carte d'identité d'un Mauritanien (l’hébergeant) ou bien une preuve de réservation dans un hôtel mauritanien. Elle me dis que notre VISA sera forcément touristique car nous mettons le pied sur le sol Mauritanien. Elle dis que pour avoir un VISA Transit il aurait fallu traverser le pays en avion.
Nous n'avons pas du tout prévu de dormir en Mauritanie. Une personne nous attendra à la frontière pour traverser le pays avec nous mais elle est Sénégalaise et non mauritanienne donc elle ne peux pas nous faire d'attestation d'hébergement.
Ya t-il un moyen d'obtenir nos VISA de transit en France, pour passer en véhicule sans avoir à fournir de justificatif d'hébergement en Mauritanie ?
En cas de demande de VISA faite au Maroc à la frontière avec la Mauritanie, demandent-ils aussi ce justificatif et peux t’ont obtenir le VISA le jour même ?
Que faut-il fournir comme documents en plus du formulaire ?
Pour obtenir un visa sans invitation, il faut aller à Rabat.
On vous le donne en 48h: déposer les papiers le matin(du lundi au mercredi) avant 11h (venir de bon matin il y a foule) et le récupérer du mercredi au vendredi.
Va sur le site de "Papy et mamy en voyage" il explique tous ce qu'il faut.
Si vous partez par la route, le mieux et de prendre vos visa a l'Ambassade de Mauritanie a Rabat(Maroc) 30€ par pers le visa 2 photos une photocopie de vos passeport et un formulaire de demande délivré sur place actuellement il faut 24 d'attente si déposer avant 11h du matin.
je viens de faire ma demande et obtenue sans autres tracasserie.
A Rabat, vous trouverez bien d'autres personnes qui feront le trajet et en attente de visa Mauritanien, soyez tranquille d'autant plus qu'ence moment aucun soucis ne se présente tant sur la route que, aux niveaux des formalités...

Pour le visa à Paris il faut une attestation d'hébergement d'une auberge à Nouakchott , voir a auberge Menata ou maison d'hote Jéloua ..
Pour le visa à Rabat (Maroc) il faut deux jours , pas besoin d'attestation .
Pour la traversée du sud Maroc (Sahara Occidental) et la Mauritanie , il y a beaucoup de contrôle de police , pour ne pas perdre 20mn a chaque contrôle il faut des fiches de renseignements (voir sur mon blog) environ 30 par personne et le double pour le retour
En Mauritanie il n'y a pas de délivrance de visa frontière , a aucune frontière !!!!! donc pour le retour par la route (??) il vous faudra un visa a prendre en entrées double a Rabat ou un simple a Dakar pour le retour
Houla, houla mais c'est énorme ce que tu dis là, je suis a plus ou moins trentième traversé vers le Sénégal depuis 2006, non non , oui certes des photocopie de passeport en y indiquant la provenance et la destination de plus si une personne de couleur l'origine de cette personnes, la profession et cest tout par contre juste 8 photocopie par personne 3 pour le Maroc ( à l'entrée du Sahara, Boujdour et Dahkla? pour la Mauritanie 5 ( une passage a niveau gendarme, une a Boulanoire une a l'entré Nouakchott Gendarme, une police et la dernière après la capitale environ mi chemin frontière Sénégal.
30 ??? pourquoi pas mieux vaut prévenir que guérir, n'est il pas ?
Aucune craintes a vous faire les gars, juste la lenteur des poste frontières mais la gentillesse de Marocain vous donnera surement pas l'envie de continuer vers le Sénégal.
PS par Sécurité après 18h mieux vaut camper devant un barrage de gendarmerie en Mauritanie, ils partagerons volontiers leurs thé a la menthe avec vous.
et si vous pouvez porter leurs quelques paquets de cigarettes même au Maroc ils ont seront plus que reconnaissants.
Ben moi je dirais juste si c'est humanitaire et que vous avez le temps, autant passer par rabat, c'est immensément plus simple et plus rapide...et surtout sur 4 voitures...combien êtes vous? car déjà rien que 4 personnes c'est au moins 160€ d'économiser par rapport à action visas qui est une société a but très très lucratifs...
160€ quand on est en convoi humanitaire c'est déjà une petite somme intérréssante à donner ou investir plutôt que de la donner à une grosse société capitaliste qui en plus vous compliqueront largement la tache..
Mais bon c'est juste mon point de vue...
Vraiment le faire à rabat c'est tellement simple et rapide...j'ai dis 160€ mais c'est bien sûr sans compter les frais de couriers recommandé qui sont dans les 20€ PAR passeport ( sauf si tu habites à paris)...
Oui on sais pour action visa que c'est largement plus cher et qu'ils font du beurre sur notre dos.
On ne prend pas sur le budget de l'association pour les frais de trajet chacun paye sa part, mais tout de même c'est cher.
De toute façon c'est exclus puisqu'ils demande une attestation d'hébergement.
On va surement opter pour Rabat mais justement, non... on a pas le temps.
Le but c'est vraiment d'arriver le plus vite possible au Sénégal pour avoir le temps de réaliser tout nos projets humanitaires.
Donc au retour on s'en fiche de trainer, mais pas à l'allée.
Enfin, Rabat reste tout de même la solution la moins chiante apparemment.
Attention c'etait juste ma pensée, pas un jugement, c'est déjà tellement bien de trouver des gens qui font ça...mais oui vraiment vous allez moins vous galerer à rabat...bien que pour la solution d'herbgement, olivia de nouakchott saura probablement t'apporter ses conseils pour trouver une solution rapide...
Je me permet juste de te dire de faire attention quand tu passeras les douanes marocaines...ils se moquent totalement de l'humanitaire et si y a un truc qui leur plait, ça ira dans leur poche...j'ai vu de mes propres yeux un convoi humanitaire à ceuta obligé d'abandonner une partie de leur marchandise ( des fauteuils roulants pour handicapé qui allaient au mali) car les douanes voulaient les taxer horriblement...j'ai entendu dire par d'autres qui les avaient vu à bir gandouz se refaire dépouiller et aussi à rosso ( surement pas le bon choix certes) qu'ils avaient fini là leur mission, décidant de rentrer en france dégouté...méfiez vous des passages de douanes...et donnez de vos nouvelles après être arrivé au sénégal si possible, j'aimerais bien savoir si vous n'avez pas eu de souci...car les douanes sénégalaises, faut même pas compter sur leur coeur...il s'en foutent royalement...un truc de donner aux autres c'est un truc qu'on peut donc donner pour eux....voilà leur raisonnement🙂...et c'est là que les 160€ économiser pourront donc équilibrer le budget de départ😇...

Comme votre départ est pour octobre vous aurez le temps pour mettre de coté une récup. pour les jours d'arrêt à RABAT.
Pour loger le camping le + prêt c'est KENITRA: "les chenaies" 40 km avant RABAT.
Pas cher: voiture + 2 personnes+ 1 tente=55Dh + douche chaude 10dh par prs.
Si vous avez une tente pour 4 alors là ça devient encore + économique.
Et ils fonts des poulets/frites extra ou kefta=40dh 1 part qui vaut 1 et demie.
Je peux vous dire comment y aller si besoin.

Je ne serai pas sans repasser sur ce forum car les membres y sont très actifs et on vois bien quand on pose une question que vous prenez plaisir à aider.
Justement, on aura entre autre des fauteuils roulants dans le camion.
Nous allons dans des villages de la brousse à 80km de Dakar, au sud de Thiès. On va passer à M'Bomboye, Sanghé, Dia et Toucar.
On ira aussi faire un tour à M'Bour.
Plusieurs des membres de l'association sont infirmières donc nous allons faire les premiers soins.
On emmène des compresses, des atèles, des boites pour ranger les cachets etc
On vérifie aussi la vue des gens. Si il y a un problème on les envoie en consultation à Dakar.
Puis, nous donnons le dossier des gens à un ophtalmo en Normandie qui nous monte gracieusement des verres à la vue des patients sur des montures de lunettes que nous récupérons via nos divers actions en France.
L'année dernière nous avons payé des injections pour les yeux à un jeune de 14 ans qui était presque devenu aveugle à cause de conjonctivites à répétition, dues au sable.
Il était inopérable pour une greffe de la corné car ses yeux avaient développé une membrane protectrice sur laquelle la greffe n'aurait pas pris.
Grâce au injections, il a quand même retrouvé un bon champ de vision.
Nous avons construit des poulaillers avec du bois acheté sur place et des lots de poussin. Voyant que la personne qui nous avait réclamé cette aide avait très bien géré l'élevage de ses poulets, nous lui avons payé un autre lot de poussin l'année d'après.
Nous avons aussi construit des tables en bois à la demande des femmes pour qu'elles exposent sur le marché.
Nous avons rénové une classe d'école et installé des moustiquaires aux fenêtres des maisons.
On distribue des fournitures scolaires : Stylos, cahiers, classeurs, craies, ardoises, crayons etc...
On apporte aussi des vêtements. Les t-shirt et les casquettes font beaucoup d'heureux.
Surtout les t-shirt de foot offerts par nos communes en France !
Quelques paire de chaussures, des peluches.
Des téléphones portables qu'ils arrivent très bien à réparer.
Cette année nous apportons un ordinateur aux sœurs du dispensaire pour les remercier de leur accueil.
Nous allons aussi acheter un moteur pour mettre en place un moulin pour moudre le mil.
Ce sont les femme de M'Bomboye qui nous on suggéré l'idée lorsqu'on leur a demandé ce qui leur ferai plaisir.
On fait toujours en fonction de leurs besoin. Ils sont plus à même que nous de savoir ce qu'il leur faut.
On pars du principe qu'on est là pour les soutenir dans leurs projets et les aider à s'autonomiser.
Pour ma pars, ce sera la première fois que je pars au Sénégal. Je suis très heureuse que ce sois en véhicule.
Les autres années, c'était par avion. Nous voulons tester par la route voir ce que ça donne.

Pour un peu protéger votre matériel des douaniers envieux, apportez si vous fumez quelques paquets d'avance au cas ou...
Nous avons toujours des petits objets pour enfants, si ils ont des gosses ils sont fin heureux.
Tout le monde vous a bien conseillé quant aux formalités administratives.
Je peux vous envoyer un certificat d'hébergement si vous préférez déposer votre demande de visa à Paris. Quand on est pressé, je crois que c'est préférable à Rabat.
Par contre, je lis que vous ne pensiez pas dormir en Mauritanie ... Je crois qu'il va pourtant falloir y faire une étape !!! Vous ne pourrez pas traverser le pays dans la journée. Il faut toujours du temps pour franchir les frontières (marocaine et mauritanienne), même si vous dormez devant la frontière marocaine; la route est longue, et il y a beaucoup de contrôles.
Selon le moment de la journée où vous arrivez à Nouakchott, il y aura certainement des bouchons qui vous ralentiront. Puis, la route vers le sud est vraiment dangereuse: beaucoup de trous, beaucoup de bétail, beaucoup de chauffards .... Le dernier bac de Rosso est à 17H45, et avant de monter dessus, il faut encore effectuer les formalités ce qui prend du temps. Si vous souhaitez franchir la frontière à Diama, il faudra compter avec 100 kms de piste. Et puis ce n'est vraiment pas sûre que la piste de la digue soit ouverte en octobre à cause de la saison des pluies ....
En bref, si votre ami sénégalais peut vous loger à Nouakchott, ce serait plus pertinent. Ou, au pire des cas, il vous faudra prévoir de dormir dans l'un des fort agréables hôtels de la charmante petite ville fluviale de Rosso (ironiquement parlant ....!!!!!!).

On est partir depuis la Suisse en avril 2012 avec visas touriste plusieurs entrées pour traverser la Mauritanie (obtenu au consulat de Mauritanie à Genève) il nous fallait juste la copie de la carte grise du véhicule.
Comme t'as confirmé l'ami Oliviarim je confirme qu'il faut prévoir un nuit en Mauritanie minimum et il n'es pas prudent de rouler la nuit (attention Chameaux et vaches)...
A Rosso soyez vigilant et ferme, un guide peux être utile pour les formalités mais restez prudent.
Coté Sénégal prévoyez une liste pour la déclaration avec détail complet de votre chargement car la douane vous arrêtera a la sortie de Rosso pour contrôle.
Pour rentrer au Sénégal il faut un véhicule de moins que 8 ans sinon prévoir un carnet ATA pour traverser.

tu vas au Sénégal et je vois que tu es bien briefé. OK avec ce qui est dit plus haut, et prévois une nuit en Mauritanie. On a fait "vite" en 2010/2011 mais on a quand même dormi une nuit.
Attention à l'âge de ton véhicule. S'il a plus de 5 ans, pour le Sénégal, vérifie la réglementation. Il se pourrait que tu ais besoin d'un carnet ATA.

bonsoir, je confirme les propos de olivia, de panfla, et de bien d'autre, perso je serais sur la route en octobre, par contre, le passage par diama, me plait mieux, suis passé en décembre, et les travaux (herculéens) avançaient au niveau de la route !!!pour les copies de passeport, il en faut beaucoup c vrai, au moins 40 ar !!!!

I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?

My departure is slowly approaching, and now that I’ve got my Russian visa sorted, I’m fine-tuning the rest of my trip to Tajikistan. Since the Tajik visa is no longer required for stays under 30 days (for French nationals), I’ll need to visit the Ministry of Interior (OVIR) to register within 10 days of entering the country. No big deal, though, since I had to go there anyway to apply for my GBAO permit. 😉 However, I’ve *seen* several reports from travelers (mostly motorized) mentioning that you need an entry permit for Kyrgyzstan, which has to be arranged in advance at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) in Dushanbe. Otherwise, you’re *stuck* at the Kyzyl-Art border (with no Wi-Fi, of course, to try and sort it out). The most recent report was from a year ago, so I’d love to know if this is still the case and if it’s indeed at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) where you need to go for this pre-authorization.

I’m leaving for almost 3 months in the Philippines (11 weeks total) starting in early May.
I already have my round-trip ticket.
The problem is, I don’t have time to get a 2-month visa because the process takes nearly a month.
From what I’ve read here and there, I need a return ticket valid for less than a month when I arrive in the Philippines to prove my good faith.
After that, I can apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office.
I’m planning to either buy a fully refundable ticket to the nearest country or a fake ticket.
For 3 months, I’ll need to extend my visa two more times before my return date to France.
My question is this:
Will immigration ask me each time I extend my visa by one month to show proof of an exit ticket matching the new visa extension date?
Is it possible to extend directly by 2 months before the initial 30 days expire?

If during my stay I cross the border to spend a few days in Malaysia and then re-enter Thailand,
do I need to submit a new TDAC application?
Do I use the same TDAC as when I first entered the country?
Or do I initially have to pay for a Thai multi-entry visa?

My partner (Mexican) entered France on January 21st as a tourist. She was therefore entitled to stay for 90 days in the Schengen Area. She’ll be leaving for Mexico on April 16th, so she’ll have “used up” 86 days.
She plans to return to France on July 18th. According to the European Commission’s Schengen calculator, this new stay “may be authorized for a maximum of 90 days.” That’s not very clear ("may be," "for a maximum of").
The text of Article 6 of the European regulation (2016/399) states that for a stay planned in the territory of the Member States, not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period, one must examine "the 180-day period preceding each day of the stay." That’s not very clear either.
My partner wants to return to France for a 90-day period starting on July 18th. Is this possible?
There are two ways to look at it:
1) The first day she spent in the Schengen Area was January 21st. That day will drop out of the calculation 180 days later, on July 20th.
From July 20th, she’ll get back 1 day of possible stay; on July 22nd, 2 days; and so on. All the days from her previous stay (January 21st–April 16th) need to be outside the 180-day rolling window.
The last day of her stay was April 16th. Looking 180 days ahead, that brings us to October 13th. From that date, she’ll be able to return for a full 90 days.
2) The number of allowed days is calculated for each day of the new stay. In other words: the 180-day window is recalculated every day, not fixed at the entry date.
If she re-enters France on July 18th, she’ll only have a “credit” of 4 days. But with each day of her new stay, one day from the previous stay (January–April) will drop out of the calculation. The rolling window allows her to “replace” days from the previous stay with those of the new stay, without ever exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.
In this case, my partner could stay in France for 90 days starting on July 18th.
The Prefecture doesn’t provide any information, nor does Air France, and in the forums I’ve checked, opinions are divided. Thanks for any insights you can share!

We’re planning to travel to Indonesia (Sulawesi with family) next July and August for a stay longer than a month (about 6 weeks).
I’ve seen that it’s possible to get a 60-day visa before departure, but I’ve also read about people having a lot of trouble getting it (some even didn’t manage and had to leave without it).
We absolutely need to have these 4 visas BEFORE leaving because once we’re in Sulawesi, I’m not sure we’ll be able to go to an embassy to request a visa extension after 30 days.
In short, how can we **100% guarantee** that we’ll get our 4 60-day visas before our trip this summer?

I have a question: for our route, we’ll need to cross the Zambia and Zimbabwe borders twice each. From experience, I know we won’t have any issues with Botswana.

But I’ve been wondering: does being a student come with any perks when you decide to go abroad? The real question is whether I should re-enroll in a program just to keep that status without actually attending.
