Après quelques mois de préparation à chercher des réponses à nos questions sur VF nous y sommes depuis 1 semaine, 3 personnes dont 1 native de Tra Vinh dans les années 30.( 83 ans )
24 h avant le départ elle nous fait une grosse poussée de tension.......5h de consultation à Paris, bilan rapide mais assez complet et quelques heures plus tard , le médecin nous rassure, tout va bien elle peut prendre l'avion, il faudra qu'elle prenne son traitement sérieusement....... Je passe les détails.
Ma mère qui est fière de ne prendre aucun médicament a son age, se voyait bien continuer comme cela encore jusqu'à perpet !!!
Bref....début de voyage mal engagé, vomissement dans l'avion certainement du au traitement en cours. Ma mère vivant sous les tropiques à plus de 24h de voyage en avion de la France, vient nous voir 1 fois par an depuis 6ans et n'est pas malde en temps normal.
Arrivée à Saigon dans une extrême faiblesse et dans l' impossibilité de faire + de 20 mètres sans soutient, nous avons décidé de l'emmener consulter 3 jours plus tard à la clinic SOS internationale à Saigon ( nous avions pris une assurance voyage, donc en théorie cela devrait bien se passer pour les remboursement )

Bilan complet, prise de sang, électro cardio et repos sous perf : verdict, tout va bien Mme la marquise. Nous Sommes ressortis soulagés 2 fois, 1remt pour ma mère puisqu'elle peut continuer son vovage/ 2ement, de 866€ !
Cela nous a laissé 1 semaine complète pour redécouvrir la city, ma femme et moi puisque nous y avions passé 6 jours en 2003.
On m'avait dit : tu verras ça a drôlement changé on ne peut meme plus circuler en taxi tellement c'est lent, c'est sale il y trop de monde !!!

J'ai retrouvé le Saigon que j'avais en tête, bruyante et peut être un soupçon + propre, ce qui n'est pas rien quand on sait ce qui se passe jours et nuits sur ces trottoirs !!
Oui c'est vrai les trottoirs sont peut être + encombrés ( et c'est vraiment dommage pour nous piétons-touristes ).
Coté rue Lê L'ai du quartier routard, les trottoirs d'une hauteur de 30 voire 50 cm de haut ont été aménagés pour faciliter l'accès aux " moto-bylette " mais pas celui des femmes en chaussures à talons haut !!
Oui certe, pluss de bus touristiques, pluss de 2 roues, ok mais en pratique un trajet en taxi avec départ de l'hôtel Elegant inn qui n'a que le nom d'élégant, nous lui avons demandé de rejoindre les beaux quartier, l'exe rue Cathina, la poste etc...avant de passer par Ben Thanh et nous déposer rue Lê L'ai ( toujours le quartier routard ), moins de 30' et 86 000 dongs ! Soit : 3,60 € ( peut-être 30' )
Autre exemple d'itinéraire, de Supermarché Big C rue Hoang Vân Thu juste sous l'aéroport de Tân Sôn Nhât à notre hôtel rue Le L'ai : 135 ooo dongs soit : 5,5 € pour environ 35 à 40 mn de course à midi !
Le Big C étant, je crois, le groupe Casino vous y retrouvez un Supermarché à la française avec quelques produits français, galeries et restaurant attenant.
Suite de ma bafouille plus tard, j'ai un bus à prendre dans quelques heures pour Nha Trang.

quand une maison brûle, on appelle pas l'assureur avant, idem accident de voiture ou malade...mais bon, n'ayant jamais fait appel à un assureur en cours de voyage, je peux me tromper.

quelques mots de notre semaine à HCMc.
Un tas de choses m'est revenu à l'esprit après que nous nous soyons fait plus ou moins arnaquer, et de ce coté rien a changer..
Ce qui est pénible quand même c'est que cela se reproduit chaque jour et au bout du compte, une semaine au Vietnam peut être aussi couteuse que votre semaine chez vous en France ( je ne fais allusions là qu'aux dépenses faites pour le plaisir du palais ou pour des achats dont en temps normal on se passerait facilement )
Si vous faites les différents marchés du type Bên Thàn de Saïgon et bien d'autres, vous êtes à peu près certain d'y perdre de l'argent. Alors bien sur quand on découvre des contrés comme le VN, il faut bien entendu faire un tour dans ces marchés mais alors soyez méfiant. On vous propose, que dis-je...on vous tire, on vous aspire pour vous proposer des t-shirt ou jeans à un prix majoré facilement de 2 ou 3 fois, alors même si vous arrivez à négocier ce que vous pensez être un bon prix, vous vous êtes fait avoir.
Ex : j'avais besoin d'un short, non j'en avais pas vraiment besoin ( dépenses extras + arnaque ) j'ai voulu acheter un short pour etre plus à l'aise. Comme à peu près partout, pas de prix affiché, on m'en propose un à 480 kdongs ( soit quasiment 20 € ) je suis certain d'en trouver 1 chez mois à 15 ou 18 € !!
-je dis à la fille que c'est le prix de ce short à Paris !!
-grand éclat de rire et elle me propose 450
-je refuse catégoriquement !
-elle fait encore une avance 420 et me fait comprendre que c'est une affaire à ce prix car c'est good quality, marque US
moi : NO NO thank you bien madame et au revoir !!
-elle me demande de lui dire mon prix, je lui lance 250 sèchement en faisant mine de partir. et ma femme me dit : oh tu exagères !!
_ j'ai finalement eu ce short dont je n'avais toujours pas besoin à 320 000 dongs.
Pour terminer l'anecdote nous sommes allés au Big c ( super marché du type de ce qu'on connait en france ) pas loin de l'aéroport ou j'aurai pu m'acheter un short équivalent à 280 000dgs prix affiché !!
autre exemple ou là j'ai du me facher pour faire comprendre au gars que c'était assez pour la journée.
Un guide à moto-bylette ( j'utilise ce terme car souvent leurs engins sont entre les 2 ) nous aborde et nous explique en anglais les avantages de la balade à 3 sur son engin ( je fais quand même 97kg tout sec et lui pas plus de 55.

A moins que certaines assurances fonctionnent différemment (il faudrait consulter les conditions générales de la vôtre), oui je parle d'expérience. M'étant blessée au Pérou, j'ai d'abord appelé l'assurance avant d'aller consulter. Celle-ci m'a confirmé que mes frais seraient pris en charge dans la mesure où j'avais constitué le dossier avant (après remboursement par la Sécurité Sociale et la Mutuelle, et une franchise de 50 €. Si j'avais dû être hospitalisée, je devais les recontacter pour qu'ils prennent en charge les frais directement.
Je viens de relire les conditions d'une autre assurance qui précisent :
Lorsque des frais médicaux ont été engagés avec son accord préalable, l’assisteur rembourse au bénéficiaire la partie de ces frais qui n'aura pas été prise en charge par les organismes d’assurance : l’assisteur n’intervient qu'une fois les remboursements effectués par les organismes d’assurance susvisés, déduction faite d'une franchise absolue de 75 € par dossier, et sous réserve de la communication des justificatifs originaux de remboursement émanant de l'organisme d’assurance du bénéficiaire.
A priori, certaines assurances prévoient une déclaration en ligne, ce qui évite de payer une belle facture de téléphone...
C'est sûr que ce n'est pas forcément la première chose à laquelle on (ou la personne qui nous accompagne) pense quand on a un souci de santé mais il faut bien la garder à l'esprit et avoir toujours à portée de main les coordonnées de l'assurance.
pour nous, les dépenses ont été engagées de toute façon, on a plus le choix que de faire suivre, on verra bien si la suite est positive ou pas, ce sera une expérience supplémentaire.

Je ne vois pas en quoi acheter quelque-chose dont on a négocié le prix et sur lequel on est d'accord est une arnaque. Même si c'est payé très cher, personne ne vous a rien imposé.
Concernant votre problème de transport, si vous aviez préparé un minimum votre voyage, vous auriez lu à de très nombreuses reprises que l'on ne monte jamais dans un véhicule , quel qu’il soit, sans avoir au préalable négocié ce que l'on veut faire et le prix correspondant. Ceci est d'ailleurs valable pour tout type de prestation et pas seulement au Vietnam.

On a le droit de comparer avec d'autres vendeurs, de se faire une idée de ce que vaut le produit. Surtout quand il s'agit d'achèter un short.
Désolé de ne pas être d'accord avec vous, mais pour moi acheter un short à 10/15 € n'est pas une arnaque.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
