Hi there,
Do you know any tricks for traveling on a budget?
With flight prices constantly rising, it’s a real lifesaver!
Hi everyone,
I have a Ryanair flight scheduled for 10/14 (outbound, returning on the 16th) from Charleroi in Belgium. A strike is confirmed, and the airport will be closed on the 14th. But Ryanair is still saying the flight is confirmed. I get that they’re trying to make us change and pay extra fees rather than wait for the free compensation.
If I make a new booking, can I still claim a refund for the first one?
Thanks in advance for your help—this is the first time I’ve faced this situation.

Hi!
Sri Lanka has announced it could run out of fuel in the coming weeks if the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked. The government has implemented a mandatory four-day workweek to save oil, and there are long lines at gas stations due to fears of an early shortage.
In Vietnam, the government has warned all airlines that flights will need to be reduced due to a lack of kerosene. The country imports two-thirds of its jet fuel from China and Thailand, but both countries have now banned exports out of fear of domestic shortages.
The state is asking airlines to plan ahead and park aircraft to drastically reduce operations, starting with domestic flights and then international ones. International carriers will also need to cut back on their rotations.
This will begin in the coming days. 🙁
The couple involved refused to pay the extra fee demanded by the flight coordination company. Things quickly escalated. It got so bad that the man ended up physically fighting with an airport agent, even rolling on the ground.

If you can’t afford to pay for your luggage, don’t travel 😡. What’s next? Are they gonna hit the tour guide in Mykonos because the price of the tour went up without warning 🤪?
A heads-up to all EasyJet travelers: baggage checks are more strict than ever!

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have an idea about how flight ticket prices drop for a given destination? (Excluding Ryanair, of course.)
We need to leave for Seville on December 27th. Generally, airlines launch trips on a specific date with a high price to start filling the plane. As the departure date gets closer, the airline tries to fill the plane and lowers its prices, so the ticket price becomes reasonable again.
Example: Right now, for a trip in about 10 days, the average round-trip ticket price is usually around 200 €. Currently, the round-trip ticket price for December 27th is 450 €.
If any of you have more precise info on this topic (for example, if the price drops 15 days before departure), thanks in advance for your input. Jean Paul

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me if they’ve taken a No.. Face Base Camp S or XS duffel bag as carry-on on an international Air France flight?
Bag dimensions (S): 33.03 x 53.34 x 33.02 cm
I’ve never traveled with just a carry-on—only my 15L backpack.
Thanks! !
Hi, I need your help because I’m stuck. I booked 6 flight tickets to Palermo on August 6th through the Lastminute site. The flight is operated by Air France, and I just realized my name is wrong. I immediately contacted Air France, who told me it’s up to Lastminute to make the change, but they say it’s Air France’s responsibility. I’m really anxious because I’m traveling with my two kids. Can you help me?
Thanks
Great news for those heading to Bahia / Salvador toward the end of the year.
Air France plans to increase flights from 3 to 5 during the December 2026 / February 2027 period.

Hi there!
Has anyone taken the direct flight from CDG to Las Vegas with Air France?
Looking forward to your feedback!
Direct flights PAR / BKK in business class: AIR FRANCE or THAI AIRWAYS – prices, comfort.
Thanks a bunch!
Hi there,
I booked these upper deck seats and I’m worried about the recline because of the wall behind.
But it’s either that or an unknown neighbor...
Has anyone taken these seats before and could give me some feedback? Thanks

Hi, I have a question about Flying Blue Gold and Platinum status. From what I understand, once you reach Platinum status, if you don’t earn another 300 XP within a year, the XP counter resets to 0, and you stay at Gold the following year. But after that, you drop to the lower level if you don’t reach 180 XP. So, wouldn’t it make more sense to stay Gold, with, say, 290 XP, where the counter drops to 110 XP, meaning you’d only need 70 XP to maintain Gold?
New direct Paris-Orlando route with Air France
Hi there,

There will be 3 flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from Paris, with returns on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from Phuket. Booked an Air Mauritius ticket via a flight operated by Air France, but my middle name was shortened to just an initial with "Ms" attached instead of being written as Lalina Alexandra Fernandez. On the ticket, it shows as Lalina Ams Fernandez, even though I booked with the correct name. Apparently, no one can modify the ticket. Do you think this will cause problems?
Hi,
I received an email from the airline saying my return flight was canceled and rescheduled to another flight.
Nothing about the connection in France...
I checked my passenger file, everything is the same as when I first booked.
I asked for an explanation by email.
They replied that my original flight was canceled and that I should sort it out with Air France since I bought the ticket through their site.
I called Air France. Finally got through to someone. The agent checked my file and told me there were no changes and therefore couldn’t reschedule my flight.
I checked my file again: the flight is the same as on the day I bought it.
They suggested I change it by paying!!!
I forwarded Air Mauritius’s emails to Air France. Waiting to see what happens next...
Have you ever had this kind of problem? What’s going on with Air Mauritius? Have they become a third-rate airline that’s absolutely not recommendable?
Thanks for your thoughts and any attempts at explaining this...
(The Air Mauritius flight is no longer for sale on Google Flights. The replacement flight isn’t either... Yet it still appears on the Air Mauritius site as the replacement flight.)

Hi,
I just checked the flight ticket prices for returning to France in the coming days from Southeast Asia, without going through the Gulf. I can see why some prefer to wait it out where they are, at least for now. One-way economy class prices.

Hi everyone, I have to leave for Canada and I’ve got a layover at Paris CDG. A friend of mine will be at the airport to see me. What are the options for us to meet up? Can she access my terminal (T2E), or can I leave the international zone?
Hi there,
I bought a ticket for a flight from Toulouse to Mauritius through the Go to Gate agency. The flight leaves Toulouse with Air France, then has a layover in Paris before continuing to Mauritius with Air Mauritius.
Unfortunately, I made a typo in my partner’s name. The travel agency won’t correct it, even though Air Mauritius doesn’t see a problem—but they won’t send an email to authorize the change either. They say it’s up to Go to Gate to handle it.
Just so you know, the airline can’t modify the name themselves; according to them, it’s Go to Gate’s responsibility to make the change.
What should I do? Thanks so much!

I’m planning to take Air France from Paris to Trujillo with my 2 bikes in boxes. I have a layover in Lima and a change to LATAM Airlines for Trujillo.
On the way back, it’s Santa Cruz in Bolivia via Lima (LATAM Airlines) and then Air France to Paris. During the layovers in Lima, do I need to collect my luggage and the bike boxes and re-check them for the second flight? It’s really hard to get through to Air France for this kind of question.
The 2024 AirHelp Score ranking highlights Air France (22nd), Air Corsica (48th), and Air Caraïbes (89th) among the world's airlines. Air France has improved with a score of 7.17, thanks to strong customer satisfaction (8.1) and punctuality (7.1), but needs to work on complaint handling (6.3). Air Corsica makes a notable debut, marked by solid punctuality (7.7) but weak claims processing (4.4). Meanwhile, Air Caraïbes has taken a sharp dive, penalized by a steep drop in complaint management (2.9). The global podium is dominated by Brussels Airlines, Qatar Airways, and United Airlines. Hi everyone,
I'm heading to Namibia next May. I'm planning to take a first flight from Paris to Johannesburg with Air France, departing at 11:20 PM and arriving at 11:05 AM in Johannesburg. Then a second flight from Johannesburg to Windhoek at 3:25 PM with South African Airways.
Four hours between the two flights seems enough to catch my connection, but a friend told me I should maybe take the 5:30 PM flight instead because I need to go through immigration, collect my luggage, and check in again. Apparently, I have to do this because I bought the two tickets separately (it's actually much cheaper).
What do you think?
Also, in terms of South African airlines, which one do you think is the most reliable between South African Airways and Airlink?
Thanks for your advice!!
Hi
Will the new airfare tax be applied to flights departing from Geneva on the French side for Air France flights to Paris?

Hi there.
I’m planning a trip to Chile, and the fares from the Colombian airline Avianca are really appealing.
Way cheaper than Air France, for example.
That said, the reviews I’ve seen online aren’t great.
What do you think of this airline?
Have any of you taken long-haul flights with Avianca?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
Eric
Hi there,
When I run searches on Skyscanner, I see that only Lufthansa has flights to Seoul with just one stop. Air France doesn’t show up, even though I thought the French airline served Seoul? I can’t even log into the Air France website—it keeps glitching.

Hi there,
We’re heading to Chile in September 2025, and we booked a Paris–Santiago flight (AF) that was supposed to arrive in Santiago at 7:45 AM, with a same-day connection to Calama on LATAM at 2 PM. Air France just changed the arrival time to 8:45 AM in Santiago. Do you think we’ll still have enough time for the connection to Calama, or should we change our 2 PM flight to one the next morning? The other same-day options are too late. How long should we budget for customs, health checks, and baggage claim—since we’ll need to recheck our bags for Calama?
Is moving between the international terminal and the domestic terminal time-consuming?
Thanks so much for your help! :)

Hi,
I’m torn between a few airlines for late March departing from Paris: Vietnam Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Qatar Airways. Which one is reliable with a comfortable flight?
Air France’s schedule doesn’t work for me.
Thanks for your feedback!
Hi there,
I have a multi-city flight: CDG-San Francisco and return Las Vegas-CDG via LAX. The whole thing was booked on the AF website with one checked bag included per person.
I’m thinking of buying an extra checked bag for the return trip (souvenirs and outlet shopping!). Air France won’t let me add it online, saying that part of the return journey is operated by a partner (the LV-LA leg is a codeshare with Delta, while the rest is on AF) and that I can only do it at the Las Vegas airport.
When I go to the Delta website with my booking reference and simulate adding a bag, it clearly states “1st checked bag: Free” and “2nd checked bag... $490!!!!!!”. However, if I simulate the same route on Delta’s site without entering my booking, it shows $75 for the first bag and $100 for the second.
Has anyone been through this before? How did you handle it? Thanks in advance!

It’s been over 10 years since I last went to Madagascar. Back then, I flew Corsair from Paris.
I’m planning to go back in September 2025.
I’ve heard about Air Austral...
Air France: the issue is the flight arrives in the evening at Ivato.
What do you recommend?
Which airlines fly from Paris to Tana?
Thanks for the help!
