Je prépare pour août 2014 un voyage autour du monde qui me fera traverser 9 caps géographiques : le Cap Corse, le Cap Reinga (Nouvelle-Zélande), le Cap Haïtien, le Cap York (Australie), le Cap Eluanbi (Taiwan), le Cap Comorin (Inde) , le Cap Cod (Etats-unis), le Cap Horn et le Cap de Bonne espérance. Le voyage n'est pas linéaire. Après chaque Cap je reviens sur Paris. Le voyage se déroule sur 9 mois (10 à 15 jrs par Cap). Ces 9 caps symbolisent par leur histoire et leur géographie, les différentes étapes qui ont jalonné ma convalescence depuis ma chute de varappe dont je suis sorti paraplégique. Aujourd'hui je marche et ce voyage est une occasion pour moi de revenir sur cette épreuve avec un regard "neuf". Au cours de ce voyage je ferai 3 films. Le 1er sur mon expérience, le 2è sera constitué de portraits de rescapés, de personnes qui ayant connu un traumatisme ont fini par en sortir, et le 3è film va à la découverte des caps. Toute personne connaissant des personnes habitant ces caps, notamment un éventuel rescapé, ou ayant déjà voyagé dans l'un de ces caps peut prendre contact avec moi, je suis ouvert à toute suggestion. We’d like to visit South America (among other places) with a vehicle, and I have a question about Chile and Argentina.
A lot of "spots" are right on the border between these two countries, and I was wondering how to visit them since we’re not in a rush. Should we cross the borders without stopping so we don’t have to backtrack later, or should we explore the Chilean side first, for example, and then the Argentine side afterward?

I'm one of the future round-the-world travelers, leaving on July 2, 2012.
This is my first time gearing up, and I don’t want to make a mistake with my backpack. I’ve already done quite a bit of research, but I was wondering if you could help me refine my choice.
Needs:
- Around 50L backpack
- Comfort as a priority
- Lightweight
- Designed for a woman’s back (I’ve read on other forums that this really makes a difference)
- Durable fabric (water-repellent is a bonus)
- Max load of 7/8 kg
> I don’t need gadgets for experienced hikers (spots for trekking poles, ice axes, etc. = useless for me and just drives up the price)
A salesperson had me try two models in-store with weights—they’re very comfortable (though I don’t have anything to compare them to).
These models don’t have small front pockets—are those essential?
They don’t come with a rain cover, but I’ll buy one if I go with either of these.
My buddy Christian and I (Patrick) set off for 28 days in Argentina in March.
We’ve already shared several trips together (Bolivia Peru, Namibia, Laos, Costa Rica).
Since we figure that at our age (65) we won’t be coming back here—there are just too many other places in the world to discover—we did the "grand tour" of Argentina.

We're leaving for a round-the-world trip in April and we'd love to share it with our parents, friends, and other travelers. We want to create a website where we can upload photos and provide useful info. However, we're not exactly tech-savvy 😕. We still have two months to get things ready.
Would you have any tips for creating such a site, assuming we'll need to update it from internet cafés?
