Voiçi les détails de ma proposition de voyage.
Il s'agit de mon village natal, Mahasoabe. Dans la prefecture de Manakara (au sud est de la grande ile), à 350 km environ de la capitale Antananarivo, 16 h de voyage en taxi brousse jusqu'à Manakara, en passant de la réserve naturelle de Ranomafana. On peut faire escale là bas si on veut visiter la foret et régarder les lémuriens.
A Manakara (une ville côtiere), on fait 2h en taxibrousse pour aller Vohipeno où on prend une pirogue pour traverser la riviere de Matitanana, 300 m.
Et après, on prend encore un taxi brousse vers Mahasoabe. On peut marcher jusqu'à là bas en suivant le longue de la rivière (En taxi brousse: 2h, en marche: 4h environ).
Ce voyage vous permet de découvrir le pays des antemoros que je fais partie. Ce sont les descendants des islamisées et arabisées qui se trouve tout au longue de la riviere matitanana. Les antemoro se divisent en différents royaumes, dépuis le XIV e siecle après la scission des migrants originaires de la Mecque. L'un des principaux royaumes se trouvent à Mahasoabe.
Les royaumes antemoro ont eu de prosperité avant la colonisation. Pendant l'occupation française cette région est un grand producteur de café. Maintenant, c'est la région la plus pauvre.
Economiquement faible mais les antemoro sont tres respectés dans sa culture et sa civilisation.
La population locale est tres conservateur en matière d'us et coutumes. Le sorabe, manuscrit arabo-malgache est jalousement conservé à chaque tranobe (maison collective, le palais de la communauté).
Cependant, peu d'enfant est scolarisé à cette époque moderne. Les gens font leurs bésoins ailleurs, car il n'existe pas de WC dans le village. Ils utilisent la riviere de Matitanana, juste à 10 m du village pour faire la cuisine, prendre leur douche, recevoir la bénédiction ancestrale, laver leurs béstioles etc.
Je vous invite donc de venir làbas pour votre voyage afin de découvrir notre pays et apporter quelques choses pour la population. Peut être, vous pouver intervenir en matiere d'hygiène, ou de scolarisation ou bien en réhabilitant le tranobe (construit en ravinala ) qui est en tres mauvais état actuellement. Vous pouvez collaborer avec la population pour la réalisation du projet.
De mon côté je suis le trait d'union entre votre équipe et les habitants. J'ai mes oncles qui habitent au village. J'ai aussi ma soeur, étudiante en sociologie, elle peut vous accompagner. Ce sont des personnes ressources qui sont prêt de s'engager.

on voulait penser aller en afrique depuis déjà un petit bout de temps et on a fais la rencontre d'un burkinané:ce qui nous a beaucoup aidé pour nous motiver un max
mais j'aimerais avoir beaucoup d'infos, la prix de la vie là-bas(logement, nourriture, déplacement...), combien serait le billet d'avion en partant de paris?

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
