I’m heading to Bayahibe this winter. It’ll be my second time in this country, where I feel so at home. I’d love to bring back some Larimar jewelry... the real deal.

I saw some at a shop in the Iberostar Dominicus hotel, but I’m guessing I can find it cheaper elsewhere. Maybe in La Romana?

If anyone has any tips on this, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi fellow travelers, I’m sending this little message to ask if anyone is coming back from Holguin in Cuba, and how the temperature is over there? Did they have any water outages in that area? And regarding money exchange, is it better to exchange into Cuban or US currency? Sorry for asking these questions, as it’s been a few years since I’ve been to Cuba. We need your help—we’ve decided to go to Guadeloupe for our honeymoon. We’ve been offered three different places but we’re struggling to choose. We’d love your input on the location of each accommodation and your opinions if you’ve stayed there. Carib Bay, Deshaies Les Galets Rouges, Bouillante Le Cocotel, Saint-François We’ll be there for 9 days and 7 nights in February, and we’ll have a rental car.

Hi there, the title says it all. I’m thinking of heading over there in October, even though my main goal is Dominica—but I’m not sure if the island is open to tourists yet. Anyway, I don’t know the Caribbean islands at all, so are Martinique and Guadeloupe very different? In terms of population, prices, beaches, activities, etc.? And of course, all this assuming we don’t go back into lockdown by then… Thanks in advance

We’d like to rent a simple car in Martinique for 15 days. We’d prefer to avoid big chains like Avis Antilles and rent from a local, reliable rental company instead.

Good news for tourists traveling this route. The 59 km section in poor condition is currently being repaired. Everything should be finished in August.

This will make the connection between Guantánamo, Baracoa, Moa, and Holguín much easier.
