Je viens de jeter un oeil au site du Ministere des Affaires Etrangeres ("conseils aux voyageurs") - http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs_909/pays_12191/madagascar_12283/index.html - et il y est indique qu'un carnet de vaccination international est demande a l'entree sur le territoire malgache. Cela me surprend car aucun guide n'en parle (et je n'ai rien trouve sur le sujet sur ce forum).
Je sais d'experience que ce site est souvent un peu alarmiste, mais quelqu'un ayant ete a Mada recemment peut-il me confirmer que ce n'est pas necessaire ? Doit-on reellement prevoir d'avoir avec nous un carnet de vaccination international par securite ?
Déjà, la phrase présente sur le site du ministère est un non sens :
"Aucune vaccination n’est obligatoire, mais la présentation d’un carnet international de vaccination est exigée lors de l’entrée dans le pays. "
Si aucune vaccination n'est obligatoire, pourquoi exiger le carnet de vaccination ??
Pour vérifier que le visiteur est bien en règle par rapport aux vaccins non obligatoires ????? loooool 😄😄😄
2eme voyage à Mada en trois mois, a part m'aquiter du prix du visa, on ne m'a rien demandé 😛
un carnet de vaccination est demandé comme dans tous les pays si tu viens d une région d afrique dans les six mois en règle générale cela concerne la fievre jaune

Nous envisageons partir dans 1 mois pour un sejour total de 3 mois ...
Notre but etant de nous deplacer en taxi-brousse sur toute l'ile, eventuellement meme utiliser parfois des locaux pour nous aider a decouvrir le beautes du coin.
Nous ne sommes pas exigeants en ce qui concerne le logement pourvu que celui propose soit propre et sans danger. Dans ce sense, "chez l'habitant" (lorsque cela sera possible) nous conviendrait aussi parfaitement.
Question bouffe, aucun probleme de manger "malgache".
Auriez-vous une idee sur le budget MINIMAL necessaire pour effectuer un tel voyage ?

Bon y a beucoups a dire et beaucoup de réponses.
En voyagent de cette manière on peut pas garantir le propreté, la sécurité.
Chez l'habitant c'est pas évident mais possible quelque fois.
Pour manger pas de problème ! faire attention quand même a pas manger n'importe quoi.
Je vais parler en € c'est plus facile.
Donc un € = 2600 ary ou 13000 fmg.
Pour loger on trouve a de 2€ soit 50.000fmg a 5€ en bungalow avec wc 10€
manger deux repas plus PTD 8 A 10€ POUR DEUX.
On peut manger quelque brochette a midi 2€ et manger un bon repas le soir soupe chinoise 4€
l'eau en bouteille plastique est a 1€ le litre.
Le pain 50ct €
On peut manger dans un restaurant gache pour 3 OU 4 € super bien.
Pour vous donnez un prix j'ai fait un mois avec 10€ par jours, sans conter le déplacement.
Le déplacement en taxi brousse est très bon marcher !
Voila si vous passez par Tamatave je peux vous recevoir.
J'ai une belle chambre ventilé, wc, douche chaude.

Ok j'ai bien notté, pour le palu ! moi je prends rien du moins je me soigne à la Malgache avec des hilles essentielles ( Ravinesara et clous de girofle ).
Mais pour toi qui fais un voyage peut être que c'est mieu de prandre un anti-paludien. Ici il y a pas temps de moustique. Tu trouveras sur place tout ce qu'il faut comme répulsif. Pas besoin de la fiévre jaune.

Tout dépend des pays (on nous a contrôlé à plusieurs reprises le carnet au cameroun par ex); par contre en 2 voyages à mada jamais on me l'a demandé.
Donc si tu viens d'Europe (comme 99% des voyageurs se rendant à mada); no pbms
Si tu viens au préalable d'un pays d'Afrique subsaharienne, ca peut t'être demandé //fièvre jaune.

Pour un projet d'installation à Mada, toujours le même conseil : y passer d'abord quelques mois pour repérer les lieux et construire son projet en fonction de ses envies, de ses besoins.

Non la décision de t'installer à Mada n'incombe qu'à toi et à toi seul, n'écoute pas les autres c'est trop important comme décision !
La vie à Mada n'est pas facile, il faut juste savoir peser le pour et le contre, car tu as des enfants avec toi.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

For several years now, increased aggression has been observed in Cape fur seals.

It was recently confirmed that this is due to rabies.
The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
Preventive vaccination (of the animals) is being considered.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
