Nous sommes un jeune couple (24 et 25ans) et nous souhaiterions partir à l'étranger cet été. Nous voudrions en effet faire un chantier, ou nous pourrions être ensemble tout en aidant la population locale. L'idéal pour nous serait de partir juillet et aout dans un pays anglophone.

je vous conseille d'aller faire un tour sur le site de l'organisation internationale Projects Abroad. Je suis partie avec eux en 2007 pour une mission environnementale au Pérou. Je fais des études de biologie et cette mission m'a bcp apporté, que ce soit en connaissance de la faune et la flore ou bien au contact des populations locales. Ils proposent des missions dans bcp de pays et sur des sujets variés donc je pense que vous trouverez de quoi vous faire plaisir! Si vous voulez discuter plus en détail de l'expérience que j'ai eu avec eux, n'hésitez pas.

Je m’appelle Josepha et je viens vous présenter le chantier international de soutien scolaire et d’animation pour les enfants défavorisés de Guinée mené par l’association FALE en Guinée et l’association Guinée Méditerranée à Marseille.
Les enfants ne sont pas tous égaux devant l’école. C’est à travers ce constat que le projet de soutien scolaire a été initié par l’association FALE. Il vise à réduire ces inégalités et lutter contre l’échec et le décrochage scolaire à l’entrée au collège
Le public cible du projet sont les enfants des familles défavorisées inscrit à l’école et ne pouvant bénéficier de soutien scolaire privé ou de cours particuliers. Les enfants prioritaires sont ceux qui rentrent en CM2, afin de les aider à préparer l’examen de rentrer au collège. Les enfants sont accueillis sans distinction de sexe, religieuse ou ethnique.
Notre projet œuvre à la prévention de l’échec et du décrochage scolaire et social. C’est dans cette optique que nous avons construit ce programmepédagogique permettant d’aider les enfants dans leurs apprentissages et dans la construction de leurs savoirs, mais aussi dans leurs socialisations et dans le développement de leurs propres compétences
Nous recherchons donc des volontaires qui souhaitent participer à ces activités en collaboration avec nos volontaires Guinéens durant les mois de Juillet et d’Août.
Aussi nous recevons toutes l’année des volontaires dans un programme d’immersion totale ou le volontaire est intégré au reste de l’équipe : hébergement en famille, participation aux activités de l’assoc, découverte de la vie et de la culture Guinéenne…

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

After 8 months of volunteering in Tanzania at a center for street children, I’d like to go back for a year in the same kind of role—this time in Burkina. Solidafrica is a recognized humanitarian association of general interest. We donate wheelchairs in Africa. We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
