je suis étudiante et je prépare un doctorat de sociologie en Côte d'Ivoire. je rêve de travailler dans le domaine humanitaire et pour cela j'aimerais suivre une formation spécifique en gestion de projets humanitaire ou de solidarité internationale. j'aimerais savoir comment fiare pour obtenir une bourse ou une aide de quelque nature que ce soit, pour cette formation.

Je pense que je continuerai cette discution dans un post privé car ce n'est peut-être pas le lieux pour cela en tout cas, je suis fort intéressée par ta formation que tu as certainement entreprise bien plus tôt que moi.
En effet, je passe les détails sur de ma longue recherche afin de trouver le meilleur moyen d'allier la connaissance du monde et l'aide internationale pour en arriver à ce que je m'inscrive pour la première fois dans une enseignement supérieur (EHESS) cette année, à l'âge de 26 ans !
Je suis en première année de préparartion d'un diplôme non reconnu nationnalement mais qui est un premier pas dans les sciences sociales tournées sur l'anthropiologie/ethnologie... C'est très bien. Mais la recherche n'est pas mon but si elle doit avoir lieu dans une bibliothèque ! Il en faut des chercheurs et chercheur-enseignants... mais ce n'est pas pour moi. Alors moi aussi j'aimerais combiner ces études avec une formation dans l'humanitaire. Cette combinaison me semble parfaite. Un ethnologue/sociologue envoyé en pré-mission humanitaire me semble essentiel afin d'éviter de nombreux malentendus entre les équipes et la population.
J'ai à l'esprit cette organisation (désorganisée à croire !) qui est venue dans un village au Mali pour y creuser un puit en plein coeur du village alors que l'éloignement du puit (pas forcément à des kilomètres mais assez loin) joue un rôle essentiel de la vie sociale et le "business" des femmes. De plus, une fois le puit creusé et aménagé, cette même organisation (peinée de voir les enfant étudier sous un auvant) y est revenue pour monter une école "en dur"... et ils ont utilisé l'eau du puit fraichement creusé, qu'ils ont tari avant même la fin des travaux... Conclusion, les enfants continuent d'étudier sous l'auvant et maintenant dans des locaux en travaux et à l'abandon (Ô ! moignons du "progrès"!). Les femmes doivent réapprendre à aller au puit éloigné...
Autre histoire, autre lieux, une mission humanitaire a décidé de creuser (je crois que c'est aussi un puit) dans un village. Les équipes arrivent, "engagent de la main d'oeuvre locale", et commencent à creuser, creuser... un matin, les équipes se réveillent, le trou est rebouché. Les croyances locales préconisant de ne pas creuser de trou à une certaine période au risque de déranger les esprits (bien ou malveillants).
Tout cela pour dire, que certaines missions humanitaires (notament de "développement") seraient peut-être plus respectueuses, mieux organisées et moins occidentalisées si elles avaient pris le temps d'étudier par le fond les sociétés à qui elles désirent venir en aide...

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
