Good evening,
I’m taking a short trip to South Korea—half work, half leisure—and I don’t know anything about the country, its history, or its customs.
Would you happen to have one or two references I could read? Specifically, I’d love to know how workplace relationships, negotiations, and downtime work there...
Thanks so much for your help!
Best regards,

Hi everyone!
I’m especially asking those of you who’ve been to South Korea and Taiwan. Which would you pick for a three-week trip in September or October? I need to consider budget, variety of places, and the weather.
Thanks! 🙂

Hi there,
I know gachapons are more of a Japanese thing, but I think it’s possible to find them in Korea too.
Would you happen to know any spots in Seoul or Busan?
I heard there’s a Bandai corner at the Korea Hotel Lotte Lotte World. But do you need to buy a ticket for the amusement park to access it?
Thanks in advance for any tips!

Hi everyone,
I’m planning a short trip of about 7-8 days in Seoul in mid-July.
I’ll be traveling with my 15-year-old daughter, who loves Asian culture.
This will be our first trip to Asia, and I’d really love to experience the authentic side of Asia.
I’ve done some research, and I’m a bit worried that Seoul might just be a big city like ‘New York’ and that we won’t find that authentic feel.
Is it possible to mix modern and authentic without spending too much time on transportation?
I’d really love to make this trip special for my daughter, but I’m honestly worried about ending up surrounded by skyscrapers for a whole week.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi everyone,
I’m spending 15 days in South Korea.
I’d like to know how I can get a guitar while I’m there.
Since I’m a guitarist, I’d love to keep playing while I travel around the country.
Thanks for your help!
Have a great day,
Titi
Hi, I’m Algerian and I have a residence permit in France.
In two months, I’m traveling to Japan with a Japanese visa, and I have a 16-hour layover in Incheon, South Korea. Do I need a visa to leave the airport and visit the area, or not?
On the way back, I have a 20-hour layover in Beijing, and same question—do I need a visa to leave the airport or not?
Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone,
I hope it's okay to reach out about a project I’m really excited to make happen.
So, I’m 16 now and will turn 18 in 2022.
Once I come of age, I’ll have access to some money that will let me fulfill one of my biggest dreams: visiting South Korea.
I wanted to ask those of you who’ve been lucky enough to go or who know the country for some advice.
First, I’m planning to go for 3 weeks, but since it’ll be my first solo trip, I was wondering how much I should budget for food over those 3 weeks.
Next, if any of you have done a "tourist circuit" there, what’s the average cost, and which cities (aside from Seoul, of course ;)) should I prioritize visiting?
And finally, this is a more general question, but what can I do in the next 2 years besides saving up to prepare for this trip?
Thanks so much for reading!
Best regards,
Hi everyone,
So great to see our forum back up and running. What a nice surprise to see some familiar faces again!
Anyway, today’s topic: I’m heading to Japan and South Korea for three weeks. I’m looking for the best way to stay connected (I have a recent iPhone, eSIM compatible). I’ve read that Holafly is a good option, but I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks, everyone, and long live VoyageForum!
