je m'appprête à réserver au Sol ou au Pelicano à CAyo Largo directement sur www.solmelia.com car les prix sont tres interessants, le SOl (le plus bel hôtel de Cayo visiblement) est au prix du Barcelo apr certaines agences
mais j'ai un problème : je ne sais comment depuis la France réserver un avion à Cayo Largo? car les agences ne vendent que des packages

Nous sommes allés 6 fois à Cayo Largo (Villas Caprichos-2-; Sol-1-; Barcelo-3 fois-). Pour des photos, je te conseille de faire la recherche suivante dans le site actuel: "Cuba" + "Sites personnels des membres" + Mon photoshow de Cayo Largo". Ce sont des photos prises par un membre en 2004 alors qu'il était au Barcelo; un très bon montage par ailleurs qui regroupe aussi des photos des autres hôtels et des plages. Quant à nous, en rapport avec le Barcelo, je peux vous dire que nous avons toujours été très satisfaits à quelque niveau que ce soit (le hic, c'est la fragilité de la plage). Notre dernière visite était en novembre 2006; la 1ère semaine la plage devant l'hôtel était magnifique, pratiquement sans vagues; la 2è semaine, la pleine lune était au rendez-vous et la température a changé; les vents qui venaient du nord ont changé et venaient maintenant du sud-est; les vagues ont commencé à grossir et la plage a diminué de moitié. Le même phénomène s'est produit sur toutes les autres plages, même à Playa Sirena qui est réputée pour ses eaux calmes. J'ai lu récemment que la plage au Barcelo était pratiquement inexistante et qu'il y avait même eu une noyade (rapporté par un membre qui revenait de CYO). Mais tout change rapidement, peut-être que le tout s'est replacé. Mis à part la plage, au Barcelo nous sommes très bien servis et acceuillis.
Je suis allé au Barcelo ( Firme italienne et non espagnole ) en janvier dernier.
Tout est affaire de comparaison. ( Je suis allé 4 fois à Cayo Coco/Guillermo).
Au Barcelo: pas de plage ou presque. Le drapeau rouge durant tout mon séjour et un canadien noyé par les lames de fond.
Hôtel tout neuf ( 3 ans ) donc propre. Nourriture moyenne protégée par du plastique à cause des mouches...
L'hôtel est isolé. Service de petits trains pour aller à de vrais plages.
Bref, c'est mon premier et dernier séjour à Cayo Largo. J'aurais été moins déçu si j'avais été au Sol Cayo Largo.
je suis allée au Barcelo l'an passée vers la fin février début mars, et comme les autres le disent, la plage est superbe, mais peut être très petite certains jours. Et il n'y a que 6 palapas, donc nous devions nous lever très tôt le matin pour aller s'en réserver un 😠 alors je te conseille de t'apporter un parasol de plage si tu ne tolères pas trop le gros soleil.
La nourriture était bonne, le personnel très gentil, les chambres propres et bien faites (si tu donnes un pourboire ou une petite gaterie sur l'oreiller). Les spectacles le soir sont bons et la température était très chaude.
Nous avons bien aimé notre voyage.

I’d like to book an all-inclusive trip next April. My criteria: 1) no sargassum, 2) 4 stars or higher, 3) ability to snorkel right from the hotel beach, and 4) safe.

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Do you know of any nice, budget-friendly hotels with activities in Mexico? Or Zanzibar is also an option for me, same idea.

Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?
