Bonjour j'aimerais savoir si le barcelo solymar est un bon hotel, car a chaque fois que nous trouvons un hotel qui a du bon sens, nous apprenons qu'il y avait des fourmis ou des crocrelles dans les chambres ou bien que les salles de bains sont sales. aidez nous svp a trouver l'hotel qui a le plus d'allure...merci!

Nous avons été deux fois au Barcelo Solymar au cours des deux dernières années. Ma blonde et moi nous y sommes mariés l'an dernier. C'est un très bon hotel mais tu dois garder en mémoire que tu t'en vas à CUBA. Si tu ne vas pas dans un 5 étoiles, il y a de fortes chances que tu rencontres tous ces petits problèmes dont tu parles. Nous avons même eu la chance d'occuper la suite 1414, celle qui donne sur le toit de l'hotel, pendant 10 jours et même en ayant cette suite, il y avait de petits inconvénients mineurs. C'est un peu cela les vacances: sortir de sa routine pour ensuite mieux apprécier ce que nous avons ici.
Le Barcelo est génial pour plusieurs raisons :
plage la plus large a Varadero
proximité de Varadero (tu peux y aller à pieds de jour comme de soir)
très grande superficie de terrain
2 piscines
des bars à volonté
Pour le reste, Varadero est Varadero. Ce n'est pas vraiment un village "cubain" mais plutôt un semblant de village cubain. La plupart des gens qui travaillent dans les hotels sont PRIVILÉGIÉS de le faire. Ces travailleurs sortent le soir avec des sacs Glad plein à en craquer.
Si vous voulez donner à des gens, oubliez donc les femmes de ménages et les serveurs et serveuses. Pensez plutôt aux jardiniers, aux filles qui font le ménage dans le lobby principales, aux plombiers qui réparera votre salle de bains, aux filles de la réception, aux gars de l'orchestre, aux musiciens des buffets, aux danseurs et danseuses qui vous divertissent le soir.
De toute façon, l'important c'est de leur amener ce dont ils ont besoins. Médicaments (aspirine, etc.) lames de rasoir, lampe de poche (pas drôle d'habiter un deuxième ou troisième étage et de revenir du travail en pleine noirceur à la fin de ton shift). C'est ce qui explique que tant de gens portent des plâtres à Cuba. Pâte à dents, brosses à dents, linge "chaud" pour les soirées fraiches (70 degré pour les Cubains c'est froid, très froid, surtout quand on n'a pas le chauffage), serviettes de plage (donnez-les avant de partir, ils vont s'en servir comme couverture pour ne pas geler la nuit). Enfin, tout ce qui ne sert pas chez-vous et que vous pourrez amener sera apprécié. C'est une bonne monnaie d'échange pour les Cubains qui auront la chance d'avoir vos cadeaux.

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Do you know of any nice, budget-friendly hotels with activities in Mexico? Or Zanzibar is also an option for me, same idea.

Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?
