Après un séjour de 2 semaines au Playa Alameda, j'ai trouvé ce "supposé" 5* bien ordinaire.
Les chambres, toutes pareilles, sont grandes, propres et bien aménagées. Cependant, après la première journée à tousser comme des malades, nous avons été relocalisés dans une unité exempte de moisissures. Ouf!
Le site même du Playa Alameda ressemblait un peu à un établissement nouvellement acquis, en voie de réfection (plusieurs petits chantiers).
La plage, elle, n'était jamais nettoyée; les algues et les déchets y régnaient en maîtres. Heureusement, les plages des hôtels voisins étaient impeccables et nous pouvions en profiter.
Une chose rare: un petit coin ensoleillé qui aurait pu nous épargner la musique assourdissante du bord de piscine.
L'animation s'y fait en espagnol et en anglais, et Québécois veut dire Canadien, donc Anglais, donc jouxté à l'Angleterre!!!
Les spectacles de fin de soirée sont très bons.
Quant à la nourriture, si vous aimez manger froid, vous serez aux p'tits oiseaux! De ce côté, la plus belle surprise que nous ayons eue fut de voir enfin un filet de fumée s'échapper d'un plat: c'était une salade de fruits!!!
Même les trois restaurants du site ne semblent pas équipés pour chauffer convenablement les mets. Ça fait deux semaines que nous en sommes revenus, mais les problèmes gastriques ne nous lâchent toujours pas.
Et le "all inclusive" de ce supposé 5* se fait sentir au son particulier du pourboire que vous devez afficher correctement avant d'obtenir un service.
En résumé, nous n'aurions honnêtement accordé à cet hôtel qu'un 3 ou 3 1/2 *.
Ce ne sera certainement pas notre prochaine destination. Nous avons déjà connu bien mieux.

Toutes les chambres sont identiques et très belles.
La section à problèmes (moisissures) était dans les "16".
On exigeait $150 pour avoir une chambre "sur la mer"; ça n'en vaut pas le coût car les arbres nous en cachent la vue.
Pour ce qui est de mon message, ma plus grande déception se situait dans le fait que les 5* n'étaient pas méritées; mais, si c'avait été un 3*, c'aurait été très bien.

J'ai reçu ce voyage en cadeau, pour mon anniversaire.
La personne qui me l'a offert a utilisé des milliers d'Air Miles et y a également ajouté quelques milliers de dollars.
Certaines personnes lui ont dit qu'elle s'était fait avoir en payant aussi cher.
J'ai hâte d'avoir des nouvelles, à votre retour.
Nous notre voyage nous coute 1200.00 chaque je trouve que c, est un tres bon prix.
Et a se prix on donne toujours un bon pourboir et on a pas mal tout ce que l, on veut c, est la 3e fois que l'on va a cuba et on a toujours bien manger meme que l, on se fait souvent préparer des repas le soir tard apres la disco comme des langoustes et crevettes etc... pour quelques dollars ca vaut la peine et on mange super bien.
On a tres hate de partir.
Nous sommes habitués à donner des pourboires... et pas rien qu'un peu!
Pour ce qui est des langoustes aux p'tites heures du matin, en montrant un très gros pourboire, nous avons réussi à en avoir (en cachette) en quémandant les restes du souper d'un restaurant, vers 22:00h; par après, les grilles étaient fermées et... bye-bye la visite! Si on voulait quelque chose, nous devions nous retourner vers les hamburgers-frites-pizzas du snack bar.
Pour un voyage d'une semaine, je suis certaine que vous aimerez la variété des buffets; mais, la deuxième semaine, je vous assure qu'ils savent apprêter les "restants" tièdes.

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). I’m tired of spending hours and hours searching for all-inclusive hotels for my first trip to Mexico to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

The first is the Etosha National Park site: https://etoshanationalpark.co.za
You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?
