Je vais me rendre à Ifaty-Mangily pour faire du bénévolat au village des tortues durant une période d'un mois environs et découvrir le pays sur le temps restant.
J'aurais voulu savoir si quelqu'un connaissait cette association ou avait déjà fait du bénévolat là-bas.
Et sinon j'aurais voulu savoir s'y il y des précautions que je doit prendre en tant que personne voyageant seule, des endroits que vous me conseillez d'éviter ou au contraire qu'il ne faut surtout pas manquer.

Je suis une infirmiere de 53 ans , je pars le 05 janvier à Madagascar, a iffaty entre-autre pour trouver du benevolat. Qu'y a-t-il au village des tortues ? je rentre en france le 18 fevrier
C'est un centre qui recueille les tortues issu du trafic, les soignent, les maintiennent dans des enclos dans de bonnes conditions, sensibilise les villageois à leur protection...
Le travail à effectuer j'imagine, doit être celui de l'entretient des enclos, le nourrissage des tortues, les divers travaux de maintenance du parc...

Si tu part faire du bénévolat dans cette assos je veux bien avoir quelque nouvelle et savoir un peu comment ça se passe.
Moi je pense partir à Mada début février à fin Mars, peut être auront nous la chance de nous croiser.

Bonjour Meline, Le village de tortues m'a contacté, ils n'ont pas de places benevoles avant mai-juin 2013. Je leur enverrai un cv et pourquoi pas y aller en novembre 2013. Ah mince, c'est dommage pour toi, mais si tu prévois d'y retourner en Novembre je pense que là, tu n'auras pas de problèmes pour avoir une place. Je veux bien avoir tes impressions à un moment ou t'auras le temps.

Oui j'y suis pendant 1 mois environ, c'était une très bonne expérience même si le travail sur place n'est pas toujours facile, surtout avec la chaleur.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
