Je suis de passage au Cameroun du 29 juin 2012 au 31 juillet 2012 ( dont 2 semaines à Douala ) . Je souhaiterai rencontrer des personnes susceptibles de m'aider à trouver pour mon prochain voyage au Cameroun , un emploi rémunéré ou pas , dans l'enseignement et le soutien scolaire ou autre , et cela pour une durée d'au moins un an .Je suis prof de maths à Lyon (32 ans de métier )et je travaille en parallèle pour mon compte dans l'immobilier . J' ai 56 ans et je serai logé durant cette pèriode .

Le Centre Filles mères Les Timous est un centre éducatif regroupant crèche et école primaire dans un quartier de Yaoundé. Il a été crée ces 3 dernières années par Mme Ngounou Emilienne educatrice de jeune enfants à Sceaux durant 15 ans et qui souhaitait apporter son expérience dans son pays d'origine (formation des auxiliaires et prise en charge éducative de la petite enfance).
Elle s'y emploie avec sérieux et rigueur, en inculquant à son personnel le sérieux d'une véritable prise en charge dans un espace géographique sain, propre, aux plus près des normes européennes.
Elle recherche des bénévoles européens, ou stagiaires qui souhaiteraient vivre une expérience professionnelle en Afrique tout en se formant.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

After 8 months of volunteering in Tanzania at a center for street children, I’d like to go back for a year in the same kind of role—this time in Burkina. We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
