j'arrive à Jakarta la semaine prochaine aux alentours de 11h. Le premier vol que je peux réserver (via Airasia)pour Bali est à 16h. Or nous aurons déjà eu une escale de 5h, donc re 5 h puis taxi de dps vers Ubud et nous serons plus morts que vifs🤪). Il y a bien des vols sur lion air et autre plus tôt mais je ne peux pas les réserver de France. Pensez vous que c'est jouable le jour même à l'aéroport de jakarta, ou je risque de trouver des vols complets?
D'autre part, les avis divergent fortement sur les éventuels traitements anti-palu pour Lombok(seulement Iles Gilis). Même mon toubib qui est quelqu'un de raisonnable(il n'a pas hésité une seconde sur l'inutilité de se traiter en Thaïlande) m'a dit qu'il allait faire des recherches.Il semble que le traitement(à la lecture des différents post) ne soit nécessaire que si on va à l'intérieur de Lombok. Qu'en dites-vous?

il est vrai que selon l'OMS, Bali est la seule île exempte de Palu.
Cependant, Lombok, et encore moins les îles Gili ne me semble pas présenter un risque important surtout pour un séjour aussi limité dans le temps que le votre.
J'ai passé 3 semaines sur Lombok même et n'ai pris aucun traitement.
En plus quand on voit que le traitement n'empêche pas d'attraper le palu (et oui, il faut le savoir) et peut avoir des effets secondaires assez désagréables voire franchement dérangeants, qu'il faut le prendre avant et après le séjour pour qu'il soit "éfficasse" (quelle est donc sont efficacité?...), franchement........
Le problème c'est que les toubibs (sauf les spécialistes des maladies tropicales, assez rares à trouver) n'y connaissent franchemnt pas grand chose. Que ce soit le lieu où dans lequel vous allez, le type de palu qu'on y trouve (les palus vraiment dangereux sont principalement en Afrique), mais il ne connaissent pas non plus bien les traitements anti-palu et leurs effets, pas plus les effets bénéfiques que les effets secondaires.
Ils appliquent donc en règle générale le pricnipe de précaution...
Et je suis, je pense, pas trop mal palcé pour en parler, mes deux parents sont médecins...
Prenez un bon répulsif type 5sur5tropic ! Restez tranquile qqs minutes sous un ventilateur ou dans le moustiquaire quand le soleil se couche, ça sera déjà un bon début !
Thesami a 100% raison je ne peux que repondre la meme chose, metez les soir si possible un longue manche, pantalon longue et un bon repulsif anti moustique, ne allumez pas la lumiere avec votre fenetre ouvert le soir

en ce qui concerne le 5 sur 5 g essayer chez moi en france j'habite a la campagne et il est pas super efficace sur la durée (environ 5 heures)
mon médecin qui me fait les vaccins (medecins spécialiseé voyage) m'a conseiller insect écran soit avec l'ancienne molécule dit "DEET" a 50% ou maintenant il y a une nouvelle molécule avec insect écran "Icaridine" qui est la plus efficace toujours d'après mon médecin, tu peu aussi prévoir une bonne imprégnation de tes vetements avec un produit exprès (insect écran pour vetements), plus la moustiquaire, tu es prêt a partir (si tu ne prend pas de traitement préventif palu emmène en un peu au cas ou et si tu as un peu de fièvre soit tu prend les médocs (pour eviter tout risque de palu) ou alors tu vas a l'hopital pour faire une analyse et voir si c le palu (si l'hopital est proche)
nous on pars 3 mois sur sumatra et on emmène quelques boites aux cas ou

nouvelle fraiche meme probléme de temps nous avions un vol par adam air à 19h apres des escales de plus de 5 heures en arbie saoudite, 2 heures de retard à jakarta sans visas et finaelment visa de moins de 3/4 d'heure et adam air avait 2 heures 1/2 de retard et visiblement les gens prenaient leurs vols au dernier moment alors moi je dirais qu'il n'y a pas de problème à prendre les billets sur place en sachant que les avions étaient loin d'etre remplis il y a 15 jours

insect écran a plusieurs niveau d'efficacité dans ses produits, pour les milieux tempérés, tropicales, et et insect écran qui contient de l'icaridine est adequate aux pays tropicaux comme l'était le insect écran avec du DEET (meme si il est encore très efficace) il y a pas très longtemps ' mais il faut qu'il trouve des nouveaux produits pour se faire du pognon, mais c'est vrai qu'il doit etre efficace (surtout vu le prix env 10e le petit flacon qui te fait une semaine donc imagine que je pars trois mois)

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
