Hi there,

I’m Belgian with three kids, and I’m looking for a neighborhood in Paris where we could spend two nights that has the following advantages:

quiet in the evening as central as possible in relation to the main tourist spots safety

Which neighborhood could we stay in to do as much as possible on foot?

We’ll be arriving in Paris by train.

Thanks!

Hi there

We stayed in Le Marais—it felt pretty safe in the evenings. Plus, we were well located, less than 2 km from the Louvre. Check out the hotel "Une Autre Chambre". I don’t know your budget, but Paris is really expensive.

Hi there, Paris is easily accessible thanks to its metro, buses, and trams, so you can quickly get to all the places you want to visit—and it’s doable on foot too. Just a heads-up: hotels can be pretty expensive. Maybe renting an apartment, even for just 2 nights, could be a good solution.

Hi,

We’ll probably book an Airbnb.

Hi there, Stay on the near outskirts by a metro station— - For example: Porte des Lilas. Look for an Airbnb or Booking.com listing. You’ll find entire apartments with kitchens and 2 bunk beds for 4 or 5 people. It’ll be cheaper than staying in central Paris, and you can get there quickly by metro.
