je reviens tous juste de playa del carmen semaine du 10 jan 17jan 09 il a plu tous les jour pas 1 hrs toute la journe j`ai eu une journe de soleil avec passage nuageux, et cote temp et biens le plus haut degres ca ete 24degre, tous les soir nous avion pantalon long et gilet chaud alors fini pour moi le mexique au mois de janvier.
Je suis allée voir sur le net du mexique cancun et la prévision pour les 12 prochains jour son beau temps et la température va monter a 30 vers le 25 janvier 2009 .
J'espère que ca va être vrai, mais j'en ai fait plusieurs et ils disent toute la même chose. Cette semaine encore un peu froid mais la semaine prochaine très beau temps.

Salut, l'année derniere, nous sommes partie du 28 janvier au 2 février sur la Riviera Maya et presque 0 nuages et 0 pluies...je t'envoie le lien de la cam de notre hotel, grand palladium white sand et tu verra c'est mieux que chez nous...lol
Semble-t-il qu'il ne pleuvra pas. Quelques nuages mais rien d'alarmant comme ceux de la semaine dernière avec 6 jours de pluie. Ce sont malheureusement les risques du voyage. C'est toujours un coup de dé. Au fait, est-ce que tu sais s'il y a un service internet à l'Ocean Maya ? J'ai oublié de demander.

Je reviens depuis samedi et malheureusement, nous n'avons pas vraiment eu de beau temps... Par contre, c'est la première fois en 6 voyages au mexique en janvier qu'il ne fait pas beau... Comme quoi, la nature ça reste la nature!

Je suis rentrée de Playa del Carmen le 4 janvier.
Nous avons eu un temps superbe, environ 28°C dans la journée et 25°C le soir. Par contre, il faut se méfier des bus car la climatisation est a 18°C, prévoir une veste. Il nous est arrivé de prendre une averse ou 2 mais elles durent 5 minutes et les gouttes sont chaudes.

Je reviens de Playa Del Carmen, et c'est le Paradis, une seule journée de pluie, mais petite pluie et soleil, qui ne m'a pas dérangée, car je visitais Coba (ruines) alors d'une certaine façon j'étais contente loll la journée n'a pas été lourde, je dirais rafraichissante 😉
Mon voyage a été le paradis 😎 Je logeais au Iberostat Paraiso Lindo. OUFFFFFFFFFFFF d'une beauté magnifique, service excellent, empacement vraiment merveilleux, la plage très très belle, il y a juste quelques roches, ont l'est voient très bien et n'empêche en rien, mais vraiment pas la baignade du tout . La nourriture est miammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm et miammmmmmmmmmmmmm délicieuse 😏
Un 12/10 mon vote.
Le seul extra est qu'il y a internet mais il faut payer pour l'obtenir, pas dans la chambre, il faut aller au Lobby.
Les chambres sont magnifiques très propre
P.S j'ai entendu dire que le Paradise proche de mon Hotel, la plage n'est pas belle, pleins de roches et odeur désagréable, mais le reste était parfait.
P.S **2 . Ce n'est pas l'endroit comme au Québec pour savourer un bon steak, ce n'est pas leur spécialité.Simplement un petit conseil de voyage.

Je suis allée a Coba, pour les ruines, j'avais un guide Mayien qui parlait en français et la journée a été merveilleuse. Visite des ruines, repas Mayien, visite village Mayien, visite d'une magnifique Cénote et nous avons pu nous baigner, ensuite petit genre de magasin local pour acheter des choses Mayiennes, nous avons très apprécié cette visite 😉
Pour Xcaret, ma soeur y est allée et elle a bien aimé ca visite 🙂
Playa Del Carmen vaut la peine d'y aller sur la 5 ième avenue le soir pour prendre une magnifique marche, pour les achats là-bas je te conseille d'y aller le matin, les prix sont moins dispendieux, et pour les prix et bien il ne faut pas se gêner, 50% du prix, , fait semblant d'hésiter avec la personne qui est avec toi, regardez-vous et discutez tranquillement en français, et faite simplement du geste en vous disant, exemple que 4 kiosques plus loin, il est moins dispendieux, faite un pas comme si vous partiez et un signe de tête au mexicain comme quoi c'est cher en lui disant, il va courir apres vous et il va baisser son prix 😄.Faites attention car leur prix en pesos pour eux est le pesos américain Hi Hi, alors essayer de négocier en pesos 😉.Comme exemple juste comme ça, le premier prix pour un masque était de 800 pesos et nous l'avons acheter a 300 pesos 😛.Pour les pesos, vous n'avez qu'a divisier en 2, exemple 300 pesos représente environ 30$ Canadien 🙂.Nous avions ces informations, alors si je peux les transférer, ça me fait plaisir 😄.
Nous sommes allées faire de la plongée et le meilleur endroit, le moins dispendieux, le plus sécuritaire et ils très très professionnels, et ils parlent en français. www.phocearivieramaya.com. Tulum, est magnifique, c'est le seul qui est près de la Mer, il y a le choix d'y aller en autobus organisée, ou bien par catamaran.Il parrait que c'est la plus belle plage à Tulum.
Pour les dauphins aussi, je vais vérifier dans mes notes, ou c'est le mieux :)
1 er choix pour moi Coba, ensuite Tulum et en 3 ième Chichen Itza ( je suis de nature a vouloir connaître l'histoire, je suis moins du style musée )

Pour l'argent et bien l'argent Canadienne fonctionne très bien là-bas, habituellement tu peux changer ton argent à ton Hotel. Ils prennent Américain, Canadien et pesos là-bas pour payer tes choses.Tu peux te faire changer quelques pesos avant de partir mais très peu, si jamais, tu aurais besoin de t'acheter de l'eau ou autre, c'est moins tressant en arrivant là-bas 😏.Pour les cartes de crédits et bien ca fonctionnent très bien, mais ils ne prennent pas la Visa partout.Ne t'inquiète pas s'il te reste pleins de pesos, un bon conseil, les faires changer en arrivant à l'aéroport de Montréal, le taux de change est bon.

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴

Hello, We’re heading to Finnish Lapland near Rovaniemi as a family at the end of February with two kids (8 and 14 years old). We’ve got direct flights with Luxairstours. The itinerary is already set, but I’m wondering if anyone has traveled with Luxair before and knows exactly what kind of clothes they provide on the second day? The agency just told me it’s a heavy-duty cold-weather suit. I’m thinking we should get Sorel Caribou boots, maybe second-hand. Here’s what I’ve already planned:
- Thermolactyl leggings and tights from Damart for the whole family as a base layer.
- A first layer of Damart socks + Nordic Stocks socks in 70% merino wool for all four of us.
- Loose fleece layers, including some Polartec.
- Ski pants for hikes.
- For my son and me, a The North Face Himalayan down parka with a hood.
- A ski parka for my husband and my 14-year-old daughter (she *really* wants a Roxy one—I hope it’ll be warm enough).
- For myself, for the flight and the first day at Santa’s village, I’ve packed The North Face winter hiking pants, a long-sleeve merino wool top from Decathlon (thin), a fleece, and my big parka.
I’m wondering if I should just pack fleece joggers or sweatpants for the kids and my husband, at least for the first and last days, to be comfortable on the plane?
I’m also planning to buy balaclavas and neck warmers in addition to our beanies, as well as mittens for all of us. I really need advice because I have no idea—I’ve never been skiing! Also, for a 4-night, 5-day trip, should I pack a second set of base layers, like from Odlo?
Of course, I’ll be leaving cotton clothes out of the suitcase.
As you can tell, I’m someone who gets cold easily—especially my feet, hands, and ears—so that’s my biggest worry. I *don’t* want to be cold, even at -20°C during dog sledding, snowmobiling, or aurora hunting when we might be standing still. We won’t be in the city, and the kids will likely spend most of their time outside, as they usually do.
