J'ai vu dans ton profil que tu connaissais bien l'Asie du sud-est; je suis étudiant et j'envisage de partir dans la région du Cambodge, Vietnam, Thaïlande, Laos pendant 2-3 mois au début de l'été 2005. J'aimerais donner mon temps lors de cette période pour aider autant que possible la population locale. Je recherche donc des assoc, organisations..qui interviennent notamment dans le domaine de l'éducation, de l'aide aux enfants, ou de la mise en place d'infrastructure durable (école..). Que peux tu me conseiller? comment m'y prendre? sais tu si les orphelinats recherchent des profs (français, anglais)? Où avoir les bonnes adresses?
Je t'avourai que j'ai déjà cherché pas mal sur internet, envoyé des dizaines de mails...pour très très peu de résultats!

En effet, je connais bien la Thaïlande et le Laos mais je ne suis pas partie là-bas dans un cadre "humanitaire". C'était plus un trip "sac-à-dos"....Je sais que des structures recherchent des profs, d'anglais surtout; mais je n'ai pas leur nom, je les avais vues sur place...
Je suppose que tu as entendu parler de l'asso Enfants du Mékong ? mais il me semble qu'ils n'envoient des volontaires que pour une longue durée...

Désolé mais je ne peux pas plus t'aider dans ton projet qu'hier! Par contre tu dis que t'as découvert l'asie du sud-est par un trip sac à dos..c'est ce que j'avais au départ envisagé..mais je me suis vite dit que c'était quasi impossible comme projet. faut il prévoir où dormir (habitation..) chaque soir? est ce possible de camper sans trop de risques au milieu de nulle part? les villages sont ils éloignés?..bref je me suis posé pas mal de questions..questions qui peuvent tjs être d'actualité; je peux en effet faire 2 mois d'humanitaire et un mois de trek.. dc si tu peux me renseigner!
Je vais tenter de répondre aux quelques petites questions que tu te posais concernant ton petit périple en Asie. Selon moi, il est très facile de voyager dans ces pays avec son sac à dos...niveau habitation, tu trouveras des "guesthouses" quasiment partout où tu iras, il s'agit en queques sortes de maisons chez l'habitant qui ont des chambres à disposition, ou de petits hotels. Le plus simple, c'est d'acheter le 'lonely planet" qui te guidera pour trouver ces lieux et t'indiquer les beaux coins à ne pas manquer.
Par contre, méfies-toi, car la mousson est présente dans les pays où tu comptes aller pendant la période d'été....et c'est vraiment galère!!J'ai déjà fait le Laos sous 2 mètres de flotte, c'est pas terrible!! Le Cambodge et le Vietnam sont peut-etre envisageable, renseignes-toi...et la Thailande est sous la flotte au nord, et c'est le plus interessant, selon moi, complètement différent du sud qui est très touristique alors que tu peux faire des bons treks ds le Nord...
Merci pour tes conseils! On m'avait pourtant dit que la mousson n'était pas un réel obstacle (2h de pluies /j au max..). Je vais continuer de me renseigner pour pouvoir faire trek et humanitaire sans trop être gêner par le climat!

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
