J'ai passé un mois dans une casa hogar pour enfants à Ayaccucho au Pérou. C'était vraiment chouette, je vous la conseille. Elle est tenu par des français, Gil et Chantal.

J'ai trouvé l'asso "casa hogar de los gorriones", un peu par hasard au cours de mes recherches. J'ai contacté Gil, qui, très sympa, m'a répondu un long mail dernièrement!
Je suis assez enthousiaste à l'idée d'y aller et tu as l'air d'y avoir vécu une chouette expérience. Pourrais tu m'en dire plus stp (comment s'organisaient les journées? Visites possibles aux alentours aussi? logement? etc...). Il y a deux choses qui me font hésiter pour l'instant :
Le travail avec des enfants, j'adore ça, mais là, bcp d'entre eux ont des handicaps mentaux ou moteurs plus ou moins sévères, et je n'ai jamais été confrontée à çà...je ne sais pas si je saurais me débrouiller convenablement? Est-ce difficile?...
Le prix du billet : Je souhaite partir fin juillet pour 4 ou 5 semaines, soit de Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes ou Toulouse. Pour l'instant je ne trouve rien à moins de 1200 euros environ...ce qui représente une sacrée somme ! Tu as des plans intéressants concernant les possibilités de vols moins chers?

je suis partie pr Barcelone et j'ai payé aux environs de 700 euros.
Il est vrai que travailler avec des handicapés pas évident, mais c'est trés chouette. Il y a aussi les petits qui sont normaux et c'est sympa. Tu peux être logé à la casa hogar, sinon moi j'avais loger chez une des employés et j'avais payé 45 soles pour un mois, je crois. Les horaires de travail sont variables, parfois de matin càd 6H à 13h ou l'aprem 12H à 19H ou 14h à 20H et parfois coupé. Tu peux visiter les environs quand tu es repos, le seul souci c'est qu'il faut bcq de temps pour parcourir trés peu de kms; car ce sont des pistes.
Voilà j'espère que j'ai satisfait ta curiosité.

Pour L'Inde je suis partie de Partie de Paris avec la Gulfair avec Escale à Bahrein et j'ai payé un peu moins de 700 euros. Je ne le fais pas long car je suis à La Réunion. I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
