Hi everyone, so glad the forum’s back up! I’m planning a trip for next June but I’m still torn between Papua and Papua New Guinea. Solo backpacking trip, about 3 weeks (trekking, culture, and a tiny bit of beach time). It’s still tough to find recent info—anyone know if backpacking is doable there? Hi there, for a 6-month trip to Australia and NZ starting in NOVEMBER, I’d like to visit PNG and the Solomon Islands. Has anyone already explored these two countries? How can you travel solo there—transport, accommodation, banking, safety—and what’s the best way to get there from AUS? Thanks for any tips!
