Je voulais juste mettre un commentaire sur l'hôtel Fleur d'Epée , je suis partie la première semaien de septembre 2009.
La plage est artificielle, le buffet n'avait rien extraordinaire, j'ai parlé avec une personne qui était là depuis mi-août et il m'a dit que le buffet avait diminué au niveau qualité: pas de grill pour le poisson, ni la viande et beaucoup moins de choix dans les plats. Je n'ai pas mangé de boudin antillais : incroyable et une seule fois de la noix de coco car j'en avais demandé.
Et leur formule ALL INCLUSIVE, est mensongère : il y a des jours et des heures pour boire certains cocktails, exemple si vous demandez un punch coco le mercredi : dommage il est servi seulement le mardi et samedi. Si vous demandez un coktail du jour a 20h15: trop tard c'est seulement jusqu'à 20H. S i vous demandez un rhum arrangé à 22H30 : dommage encore c'était seulement jusqu'à 22H00. Leur bar ferme à 23 heures.
C'est la première fois que je vois un ALL INCLUSIVE avec de telles restrictions, je suis partie l'année dernière en République Domenicaine, il n'y avait aucune restriction, ni limite.
Par contre ils mettent un ordinateur à disposition pour internet dans le hall, quand il y a des ados, ils passent beaucoup plus que les 20 minutes autorisés car ils tchatchent.
Les transports en communs marchent assez mal (des gens ont attendu 1H30 un bus pour aller à Saint Anne). Ils annulent les bâteaux pour aller aux Saintes sans changer les prospectus du présentoir (gare maritime de Point à Pitre).
C'est vrai que la vie est chère, le caprice des Dieux coûte 6, 48 euros alors qu'en Métropole 2, 99 euros, tous les produits importés sont très honéreux
C'est une trés bonne chose que de nous faire ce compte rendu, j'espère que ca évitera à de nombreux forumeurs de se faire piéger à leur tour.😎
Toutefois, il aurait été judicieux de ta part de faire quelques recherches sur les forums avant de faire ta réservation, car la majorité des gens qui connaissent un peu la Guadeloupe déconseillent fermement l'hôtellerie sur Gwada (ceci dit, les conseilleurs ne sont pas les payeurs...)
Les hotels de Guadeloupe sont l'objet de guerres permanentes entre les groupes de défiscalisateurs qui se foutent complétement du tourisme en Guadeloupe et ne cherchent meme pas à gagner de l'argent par leur activité d'une part... et de travailleurs locaux défendant certainement a juste titre leurs interets salariaux mais se souciant peu de voir se développer cette forme de tourisme qui ne rapporte rien à l'ile, voire enclins à saborder ce type de tourisme dautre part.
De cette situation résultent systématiquement deux résultats :
1/ mécontentement des clients
2/ financements publics pour sauver temporairement quelques emplois sous les menaces de fermetures des hôtels dont les actionaires ont déjà récupéré une grosse part de leur mise sur la défiscalisation et n'ont plus qu'à brader l'immobilier pour faire jackpot...

En revanche, en Guadeloupe il existe foison de gites qui offrent des prestations bien supérieures aux hotels et à des prix très nettement inférieurs à ceux de la métropole. Meme si ces gites sont de plus en plus tenus par des néo arrivants (peut etre est ce dommage), outre les prestations de qualité qu'ils offrent, ils sont un poumon économique (certes peu structuré) pour l'ensemble de la population guadeloupéenne et sont créateurs de milliers de petits emplois bien plus créateurs d'avenir que les emplois factices d'hotels surcotés ou que certaines formes d'asistanat.
J'espère que tes prochaines vacances se passeront mieux ...

Merci pour ces informations complémentaires, j'ai trouvé que la Guadeloupe est une très belle île, et qu'elle a beaucoup de potentiel maintenant je comprends pourquoi il y a un certain laisser-aller.
On m'a dit que pas mal d'hôtel avaient été fermés : Le Méridien- l'hôtel de Nouvelles Frontières et la résidence Pierre et Vacances, le club med est fermé depuis mars 2009. C'est triste car derrière, il y a dû y avoir beaucoup de pertes d'emploi.

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

The first is the Etosha National Park site: https://etoshanationalpark.co.za
You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?
