Ayant travaillé en Tunisie dans le milieu médical, je peux te dire que les cliniques ne sont ni meilleures ni moins bonnes qu'en Algérie... si tu veux le top pour pas cher c'est à CUBA qu'il faut aller ou en Russie. mais mon fils s'est fait opérer en France et il a été très content du travail sa vue est maintenant parfaite. Je ne peux que recommander la France... c'est mieux mais c'est un peu plus cher, hélas ! Beslama Jack

ce n'est pas le prix qui fait défaut mais l'obtention du visa pour aller en France!!
pour la Russie et cuba c'est impossible vu qu'on ne connait personne et qu'il faut au minimum 6 a 10 heures de vol et comme c'est un bébé donc pas de risque !!

justement avec un certificat médical on est sure et certain de ne pas avoir le visa français, pour la Tunisie on a juste entendu dire que c'est bien, on ne connais pas une clinique bien précise ! ici en Algérie cette opération n'existe pas !

Il y a trop de petits toubib qui ouvrent des cliniques privées ... la seule que je connaisse c'est celle d'El Khadra à Tunis ...cliquez sur cliniques ophtalmologiques Tunis et vous aurez la liste... Attention, bien se renseigner si ils effectuent des interventions en pédiatrie. Et bien préciser le diagnostic du petit . Ne pas partir à la légère car c'est du sérieux. Bien cordialement Jack

Le choix de la clinique, c'est pour l'hygiène, et malheureusement ce n'est pas encore le niveau européen à Tunis ..Toutefois, on doit pouvoir trouver un bon ophtalmo. à Tunis, ensuite il faut sélectionner la clinique.... si vraiment vous avez des problèmes pour la sélection, je vais me renseigner chez mes amis médecins militaires certains sont plus qualifiés que moi pour cela. envoyez moi une réponse privée si nécessaire Bien cordialement Jack

pour ce qui est des cubains sont ils vraiment compétant car on vient d'ouvrir une clinique a 300 km d'Alger tenue par des cubain et spécialisé dans l'ophtalmologie.

j'ai trouvé ce que je cherchais dans l'une des cliniques a Tunis.
nous avons vu avec la clinique cubaine, on a eu un rendez vous donc nous allons y aller ensuite si ça ne sera pas possible nous nous tournerons vers une clinique a Tunis.
une dernière question y a-t-il un site ou on critique les cliniques tunisiennes ? pour voir leurs points forts mais aussi leur points faibles car une petite erreur de leur part risque d'avoir des conséquence dramatique.

Mon cher espoir,
Le risque 0 n'existe pas ! Mais sans vouloir vexer mes amis Tunisiens et en connaissance de cause , le risque est un peu plus grand en Tunisie. dans 99% des cas c'est sans risque. Pour la cataracte, le risque d'un "raté" dépend presque uniquement du chirurgien. Donc, bien le choisir , En Europe , il y a un peu plus de recul dans ce domaine et souvent les instruments utilisées sont de la dernière génération.... mais plus cher !

je vous remerci d avoir pretter attention a mon message et me repondre. je tenais aussi a vous eclaircir la situation de maman qui souffre justement depuis mois de mai apres une operation sur l oieil droit suite a un decollement de la retinene superieur de 07h a 12h avec un trou maculaire decirure en fer a cheval a 10h. elle a comme meme recuperer une accuite visuelle.Dieu Merci.
5mois apres elle a subit une operation de la catarcte su le meme oeil justement et depuis elle souffrait de douleurs puis s est calmer temporairement apres de multiples visite chez different ophtalmologues m ont tous dis que l oei etait perdu parce que cest un oeil qui a souffert......cet
seulement 2 medecins m avaient confirmer le contraire et je garde cet espoir...Le professeur mavait prevenu que l operation sera delicate AFAIRE ET IL YA RISQUE JUTEMENT DE LA PERTE TOTAL DE L OEIL DROIT D AUTANT PLUS QU ELLE PRESENTE UN HYPERTOMIE A LOEI GAUCHE DECOUVERT 20JRS DE CELA JE ME DEMENMDE S IL N YA PAS RELATION AVEC L OEIL DROIT OUY PAS......JE PENSE L ENMENER A L ETRANGER ET VOIR D AUTRE AVIS...JE SUIS TRES INQUIETTE...MERCI DE ME REPONDRE .

Hélas, je ne peut pas plus te donner de détails, hormis ce que j'ai déja dit sur ce site et cette discussion... pourquoi tous les Algériens ne se soignent pas en Algérie ? Il y a aussi de bons opthalmo. dans ce pays... La Tunisie n'est pas la solution miracle....

Me revoila de retour apres avoir eter en france pour esperer un miracle pour recuperer l oeil perdu de maman . je reviens helas sans aucun resultat helas maman a bien perdu l oeil et c est afreux comme douleurs et comment le changement apparait sur le visage l oeil est en voix d atrophie malheureusement l imagination est a voir....
je me demande ou est la recherche scientiphique dans ce sens et portant ils ont biens recuperer ou pu remplacer un bras ou une jambe ou un doits kils utilisent pas comme le naturel certes ...mais pour l oeil rien??????????????????????? je ss tres peinee par rapport a cette situation
je vous conseille a vous tous de bien choisir son chirugien combien meme on vous dit kil est bien .............
je garde malgres tout espoire ki sait???

dire que vaut mieux allez ailleur surtout en secteur d'ophtalmologie je trouve ca bizarre, surtout si c'est une clinique y en a des cliniques en Tunisie où on ne peut en trouver en France pareils dans quelques domaines ( tel que l'ophtalmologie ) ( clinique chez nous c'est un hoptial privés ! ) et pour les médecins la plupart des encadreurs etc... ( c'est des ex diplomé d'universités européennes pour la plupart francaises ) .
Pour dire, à la fin le toubib aprés un bon diagnostic, il aura un bon pronostic pour le traitement etc...

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?

I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question: Has anyone here had any experience with this? (Even if it’s a different medication or different countries, any input would be helpful!)

We’d like to know if there’s a real risk of Zika contamination on those islands, because from what we’ve found online, the recorded cases are old and come from the Sotavento Islands.
We’re thinking about canceling our trip.
If you’ve recently traveled to Cape Verde or live there, do you have any thoughts on this?

I’m starting a new discussion on this topic since there doesn’t seem to be a recent one.
I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.

I’m planning a trip to Thailand in October or November, and I wanted to check about health precautions: malaria treatment, vaccinations (hepatitis A or others...). I’ll mostly be in the northern region, around Chiang Mai, where I’ll spend a lot of time in nature and the mountains. Then I’ll head south to Phuket or Krabi and visit Khao Sok National Park. I’ll finish up in Bangkok, with a likely detour to Kanchanaburi.
From what I understand, for a stay of less than 60 days, I don’t need a visa (I’m a French national)? I just need to fill out the TDAC form 3 to 5 days before arrival?

Hi there! So, I'm hesitating about taking a long trip. I'd like to go away for 2 to 3 months and travel across several continents. I’d love some advice. I often have unexplained allergies and need to follow a daily treatment for my diabetes (insulin). I think I can get authorization from my doctor to travel for 6 months with the treatment—is that correct? After those 6 months, is it possible (instead of bothering a relative to send the medication) to see a foreign doctor to get another 6-month travel authorization? How does it work at the airport? Do I need just one medication transport authorization, or do I have to request a new one in each country (once the treatment runs out) for both the flight and a DCI? Also, travel insurance doesn’t cover chronic illnesses, so will I have to pay for foreign consultations out of pocket? I’m not sure if I explained myself clearly. We’ve planned a 3-week trip to Bali this summer with our 7-year-old daughter. The itinerary includes Sanur, Nusa Lembongan, Sidemen, Amed, and Ubud. The more time passes, the more we read about people getting sick—some with mild to severe traveler’s diarrhea, and many ending up in the hospital. We, as parents, have been through it in Egypt with pretty bad cases, but we’d really like to avoid that for our daughter. Even though there’s no zero risk, and we’ll be careful, can any of you reassure me? Not everyone got sick, right? I’d love to hear positive feedback from parents, but not just them 😊.
