I'd like to go to Montserrat on my own from Barcelona. Share your suggestions with me. Which train should I take, where to get off, what to see once I arrive, etc.

Personally, I went to Montserrat (which is definitely worth a day trip) by motorbike, but you can find all the train info here: www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/...errat-barcel...

You can reach Montserrat by train from Barcelona, departing from Plaça Espanya station. Trains run every hour starting early in the morning (around 8 AM), and the journey takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Once you arrive, there are two options to reach the must-see monastery: the cable car or the rack railway. From there, a well-marked hike is possible (and highly recommended!) up to the summit, 300 meters higher in altitude. The view is incredible!
