I’m planning to go to Zanzibar from mid-January to mid-April. Looking for a comfortable, clean place with AC or a fan, really close to a beach (max 600m on foot). I’ll be traveling with my Jack Russell, who’s also a seasoned traveler.
Any tips, good deals, or recommendations are welcome! 😊 I spent 4 months in Zanzibar… 20 years ago!! Thanks in advance.
It’d be great to find a travel companion. I know the trip might be a bit long for some folks 🤷🏽♀️
After a last-minute cancellation, I’m now looking for someone to join me on a bivouac trip from the 18th to the 24th (the dates are slightly flexible).
I’m planning to head to the Pyrenees, which I know well, but if anyone’s interested in another destination (Jura, Alps, etc.), I’m open to suggestions. Either way, I’m keen to explore new landscapes.
I’m used to bivouacking, have all the necessary gear, and I’m a pretty contemplative guy. I need the peace of the mountains and a bit of simplicity to recharge before facing the rest of the year in society.
That said, I’m definitely up for sharing a good bottle of wine and some tasty food after a great day of hiking!

Hi there!
I’m looking for one or two (or more) people to climb the Maasai sacred mountain, Ol Doinyo volcano.
I already have a guide.
The dates are January 12, 13, and 14.
It’ll be a full moon, so it’ll be easier to see during the night ascent.
Good physical fitness is required.
Otherwise, to anyone who’s been there before—I’d love some tips!
I’ve got some vacation time to use before the end of the year and I’d love to visit the stunning Yunnan region in southern China. Flying into Kunming, then spending 15–20 days traveling through Dali, Shaxi, Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge, and Shangri-La. Getting around between stops using public transport. Sightseeing and hiking on the agenda. Flying back out of Kunming.
Dates are still flexible, but mainly looking at November.
I’m 56, with plenty of travel experience under my belt, and I’d like to reconnect with the experience of traveling as a duo or trio.
I’m looking for a female travel companion for South America in October or November for 3 weeks. Dates and countries are flexible.
We’d be traveling independently, mixing hiking, nature, and cultural visits.
Interested? Don’t hesitate to reach out!
Emma
Looking for a travel companion to enjoy the Route 66 centennial celebrations.
Road trip by car
dates flexible, take the time to refine the itinerary and connect.
Laurent (58 years old)
Hello,
For the Laos portion of my trip in Asia, I’m looking for a travel companion (male or female) starting September 16, 2025. I’m 78 years old and travel backpacker-style but with a minimum of comfort. Getting around by local buses and motorbike (scooter type). Planned route from Luang Prabang to Phnom Penh (Cambodia) for about a month. Get in touch for more details. See you soon
Hello or Guten Tag,
Departure planned between 15 and 20/09.
Why Austria? For me, it’s a way to escape the 30°C that might still be lingering in southern France—but that’s not the only reason...
For budget info, on average, the cost of living in Austria in 2024 is 3% lower than in France.
Looking for a female companion living in the Castres/81 area or in 85/Vendée, where I actually plan to move. Her personality? I’d prefer to discuss that in private messages.
If she doesn’t have an e-bike (I have an excellent one), we can swap our “rides” from time to time. Oh... She should be around 1.70 m tall (that’s my height), and there’s no adjustment needed (saddle height + handlebars). Don’t take it to mean that anyone under 1.70 m is automatically out—I can fix a flat tire, I’m resourceful, and I’ve got a good sense of initiative.
I should mention that we’ll be riding in temperatures between 18 and 21°C. So, if you’re a travel lover who doesn’t mind slightly cooler weather, you’re welcome!
I have a “good level of English language pass,” which is essential for communicating with locals, though some will understand French. Personally, I understand about twenty words of German.
Some stretches without much interest can be covered by train. I’m thinking Salzburg–Passau. To be discussed...
No need to panic, Monique! The elevation gain might seem intimidating, but spread over 802 km, it’s not too bad.
Outbound trip: by car, left in a safe place in Constance or at the hotel where we’d have spent 3 nights. To negotiate with the manager...
Return by train from Wien (that’s Vienna in German, please!) for between 38 € and 80 €. We’ll see when we’re there...
I’m planning 2 to 3 nights in Constance, given the beauty of the lake (water between 22 and 24°C—maybe a swim?) and the interest this city holds.
Fancy getting close to Austria’s highest peak (3800 m) after climbing a pass (a pass with a unique feature in Europe) at 2504 m?
Want to have fun like a teenager on Europe’s longest summer toboggan run (on rails) for 3535 m?
Want to follow the Danube River for about 317 km on the EuroVelo route 6, a path dedicated just to cyclists?
Want to explore Tyrol for 3 or 4 days?
Want to discover Vienna and its surroundings? FYI: late September, around 20°C.
I’ll be equipped with an excellent vocal GPS. So no fumbling to find an address.
Why this country? We’re in the Eurozone. Budget? Hard to pin down. It’ll depend on the accommodations we choose. I’m estimating around 60 to 70 € per day per person while there.
Lunch as a picnic. In such a setting, it’s a must! Dinner at a restaurant-inn.
Oh... One important point. I’m a heavy sleeper. Nearly 10 hours of rest. After that, I’m in a great mood. I also enjoy a nap of at least an hour after lunch if the spot allows (shady and quiet).
Hi everyone! I’m looking for a travel companion for next year, specifically for May 2026, to explore Latin America and the Caribbean. Ideally, I’d prefer a woman aged 25 to 35—I’m 34—but I’m also open to a friendly guy in the same age range.
I’d love to visit all of South America except French Guiana, and Central America except Mexico and Guatemala (since I’ve already been there). I’d also like to explore some Caribbean countries. I’m based in the Lyon area and open to connecting with people in the Rhône-Alpes region to get to know each other and discuss the trip.
The journey would last between 9 to 11 months max, but you don’t have to commit to the whole trip—just part of it if you’re interested. I plan to start in Colombia in May. I’d love to meet people who are passionate about travel and around my age.
I’m Nicolas, I’m 27, and I’m planning to head to Asia without taking any flights starting from early 2026 (mostly by train, then buses or ferries for some parts). My trip will last several months (between 8 to 10 months). I’m not necessarily looking for someone to join me for the entire journey, but rather someone who can travel with me for part of the way.
Honestly, this is the part that makes me the most nervous. The current global geopolitical situation makes this trip a bit more complicated, especially when it comes to choosing between going through Russia (faster but maybe less psychologically comfortable) or Turkey → Uzbekistan (more logistically challenging), with the goal of reaching China in either case.
So if you’re up for the adventure, feel free to reach out!
I’ve read a lot of trip reports from people who’ve already done this, but if you have any tips to share, don’t hesitate!
I’ve booked a round-trip flight to Mumbai from October 4th to 24th, 2025. I haven’t finalized my itinerary yet, but my plan is to spend 2 nights in Mumbai (hotel booked in Colaba), a few nights in Nashik, and then head down to Gokarna.
I’m a young-at-heart sixty-something who stays very active and loves traveling.
This will be my third trip to "southern" India, so I know what to expect in terms of cultural differences. Plus, my native language is English, so I have no trouble understanding or being understood, no matter the accent over there.
I’d be happy to meet up and share some moments with you—young or not-so-young—if you’re up for it.

I’m available to travel from now until autumn 2026. Everything’s in my profile—feel free to check it out: https://voyageforum.com/membres/petitflocon3/

Hello,
I’m looking for someone—or why not form a small, easygoing, cheerful group of people aged 60 or over—to travel to Colombia this winter.
My preferred dates are around December 12th through February (flexible).
I’d like to head north, or even further if we have time.
I travel with a suitcase, taking it easy in mid-range hotels, Airbnbs, or better depending on prices and local transport—buses, trains, taxis, etc.
Anyone interested?
Gentlemen are welcome as long as they’re not looking for a romantic adventure—you’ve been warned! ;)
I live in Bordeaux.
Françoise

I’m a new member of VoyageForum.
A high school Spanish teacher, I’ll be retiring on October 1, 2025.
I’m energetic, curious, and passionate about travel, hiking in the mountains and plains, and nature.
A member of the Alpine Club (hiking, skiing), I’m open-minded and fluent in three languages (French, English, Spanish) and have already traveled extensively as a backpacker with friends.
For next October or later, I’m looking for a travel companion to explore several destinations: Scandinavia (especially Norway), Argentina, Chile, or New Zealand.
If this post interests you, I’d appreciate your response.
Best regards, Marc
Hi there,
I’m posting another announcement for a slightly more specific destination—Spain. Departing from Montpellier by Flexibus to Barcelona, then following the coast south, visiting the Ebro Delta, and prioritizing local transport or BlaBlaCar.
Who’d be up for this 3-week (or longer) trip starting mid-September? If you’re not afraid of walking and laid-back living is your thing, let’s go!
Hope to hear from you soon
Hi everyone. I’m 62, in pretty good shape, and looking for 1 or 2 travel partners to share the fixed costs of a tour agency (vehicle, guide, driver, etc.) for what I hope will be a legendary trip to Ethiopia, ideally departing in mid-February 2025. Trip duration: 22 to 24 days. The itinerary covers all the country’s highlights in optimized safety conditions (hence using a specialized agency). The estimated budget is 5000 to 6000 € per person. I’m very independent and prefer a "private room". As you’ve probably gathered, I’m looking for a situational partnership to minimize costs—I’m not specifically searching for new friends or anything more. That said, I’d love to find one or more travel companions who are easy to communicate and get along with. Thanks for your attention!
I’m heading off on a trip starting September 10th in Namibia and returning from Victoria Falls on October 7th, 2025.
I’m not quite set on the exact itinerary yet, but here’s what I love:
- Nature
- Culture
- Hiking
- Backpack-style trips, and for this one, mostly 4x4 (which seems essential) but still with plenty of walking
- Simple places to stay, unless it’s THE experience not to miss or a little treat for myself
I’m pretty independent—I love traveling and meeting people, but I also like leaving room for discovery and spontaneity.
I’d love to find a few travel companions to share this experience with, so we could plan the main routes, must-see spots, and places to stay together.
I’ll refine my ideas over the next few weeks, and the plan will evolve based on who joins.
Even if you can’t come along, any tips or advice are more than welcome!
Looking forward to reading your thoughts and sharing about Namibia and Zimbabwe.
