Je suis une mère de famille ayant son dernier enfant à charge étant parti de la maison et depuis longtemps je désirait faire un an de bénévolat en Afrique alors je peux enfin réaliser ce rêve. J'aimerais travailler soit dans un orphelinat soit dans une école afin d'enseigner une langue (je parle le français, l'anglais, l'italien et le suisse allemand) ou de donner des cours de prévention pour le sida par exemple... Je suis disponible de suite. Je payerais bien évidemment mon vol mais j'aimerais pouvoir être nourrie et logée sur place. J'attend vos propositions avec impatience. Jenny

J'ai moi aussi depuis longtemps cette envie d'immersion dans un projet en Afrique avec une préférence pour le Senegal. J'y suis allée plusieurs fois en tant que touriste pour des séjours d'une semaine. Mon dernier voyage date de février 2007. J'ai eu l'occasion de passer qq heures à la pouponnière de M'Bour (vivre ensemble) tu peux le trouver par internet. Depuis mon retour, je n'ai qu'un souhait, c'est d'y retourner afin d'y apporter ma petite aide. J'envisage un séjour d'environ un mois car je travaille et ma plus jeune de 19 ans vit encore à la maison mais son père peut la prendre en charge. Je n'ai encore rien mis en place de vraiment concret mais l'idée et l'envie sont bien présentes. Il m'arrive parfois de douter de mes aptitudes ou résistances physiques mais je suis convaincue que le doute est pis que tout. Ce serait chouette que l'on puisse se retrouver qq part sur un projet.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
