Hi there! It’s been nearly six years since I last posted here. But I’m back, at least for one post! I’m returning with a dream trip we took in April 2023: a stay at Walt Disney World in Florida.

As we’ve said many times, 10 days is pretty short for Brazil! But it’s still enough for a “little introduction.” My very recent experience (April 2025) with a 2½-week itinerary might give you some ideas.

Okay, I'm diving into this Hawaiian travel journal! I hope lots of you will follow along because the destination is full of charm. 🙂

Before I begin, I’d like to thank Michèle Buisson and her “Misha’s travel journals,” which really helped me plan this trip. It’s tough to find information about this part of India—it’s so different from the “more traditional India.”

And off we go again for what’s probably our last trip to the American West... After the disaster of September 2022, the diabetes flare-up, and the pulmonary embolism, we’re spending ten days in the overlooked spots and some unlikely places.

We were torn between the north and the south of the kingdom—the fear of smoke from slash-and-burn farming and a real desire to just chill on the sand tipped the scales toward the south...

Some of you may have noticed this morning, but when you're not logged in, ad banners appear.

The setting is gorgeous—a stunning, well-maintained tropical garden with a lovely pool. You can also book massages. The cottages have a tropical style with living roofs, simple and no frills.

I remember that before leaving, I was a bit afraid I wouldn’t feel that same sense of wonder I had 2 years earlier in Botswana (see my travel journal). That fear was unfounded... the magic worked its charm once again!

Starting from the Paris region, we crossed Belgium and Germany, took the ferry from Travemünde in northern Germany to Helsinki, followed the Russian border up to northern Finland, then continued into Norway all the way to Nordkapp.

Like many, Iceland has been a real love affair for me for many years now. My first trip was in February 2016, when there were five of us—including our three daughters, who were 1, 6, and 5 at the time. It was a very short stay with just one accommodation north of the capital.

We explored the south, from Vik to Grindavik, and of course, I was left wanting more.

I’m adding my small contribution to the reopening celebration by posting this travel journal from India, which we did in January 2024. There were four of us—two couples—and we spent three weeks looping through Rajasthan, stopping in Delhi and Agra (which, as everyone knows, aren’t actually in Rajasthan).

Quebecers: absolutely wonderful people when it comes to welcoming tourists—especially French ones—and how they treat us. You can ask them for advice at the supermarket, for info here and there, and even distant cousins are super helpful!

The itinerary will be pretty classic, though a bit disjointed, to fit our dates and interests. For us, we’ll arrive in Luang Prabang (LP), where we’ll take some time to acclimate, then spend a few days in the northern Laos mountains—Nong Khiaw and Muang Ngoi.

The Empire State Trail is a 900 km route specifically designed for biking, with 75% on dedicated bike paths. First, it follows the Erie Canal to Albany, then heads down the Hudson Valley all the way to the tip of Manhattan.

Autumn is the perfect season to visit Corsica: fewer tourists, ideal temperatures around 25°C, and most importantly, less stress on the roads. You can feel it everywhere. Servers and shopkeepers are more relaxed and have time to chat...
