Ten Dream Days at Disney World in Florida
Hi there! It’s been nearly six years since I last posted here. But I’m back, at least for one post! I’m returning with a dream trip we took in April 2023: a stay at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Discoveries in Assam and Nagaland 2025
Before I begin, I’d like to thank Michèle Buisson and her “Misha’s travel journals,” which really helped me plan this trip. It’s tough to find information about this part of India—it’s so different from the “more traditional India.”

Cécile: From the Salton Sea to Alcatraz
And off we go again for what’s probably our last trip to the American West... After the disaster of September 2022, the diabetes flare-up, and the pulmonary embolism, we’re spending ten days in the overlooked spots and some unlikely places.

IN MIKUMI, Southern Tanzania (June 2024)
Hi everyone,

I’m a newbie to this forum, passionate about wildlife, the landscapes of East Africa, and Tanzania in particular. This June 2024 trip/safari is our 7th visit to Tanzania, and our 5th in the south, which has drawn us more than the north ever since we discovered it.

From Bangkok to Krabi, Thailand by car!
We were torn between the north and the south of the kingdom—the fear of smoke from slash-and-burn farming and a real desire to just chill on the sand tipped the scales toward the south...

What if we rented a car?

The Kingdom of Lions
I remember that before leaving, I was a bit afraid I wouldn’t feel that same sense of wonder I had 2 years earlier in Botswana (see my travel journal). That fear was unfounded... the magic worked its charm once again!

On the Ridiculous Thread (Episode 1)
Dear members of this forum,

*With the pandemic, travel guides have been replaced by cookbooks. With lockdown, there’s no need for the globetrotter’s guide—the cookbook is gospel, and your daily life turns into a Spaghetti Western. It’s no longer about the good guys and the bad actors, but the good and bad fats. And for a few extra pinches of salt. To the tune of Ennio Morricone, it’s hard to diagnose your pastalogy—sorry, your pathology.

São Tomé, the forgotten island
" Ah, here it is at last—this sweet scent of elsewhere so dear to Cricri and Lulu’s noses, that mix of apprehension and desire when facing the unknown.

We’re really diving into the unknown this time, taking you to the island of SÃO TOMÉ... also known as the island: ‘Wait, what? What did you say?’ 😄. Because apparently, no one’s heard of São Tomé... except our Portuguese friends.

Road trip in Iceland with my daughter
Like many, Iceland has been a real love affair for me for many years now. My first trip was in February 2016, when there were five of us—including our three daughters, who were 1, 6, and 5 at the time. It was a very short stay with just one accommodation north of the capital.

We explored the south, from Vik to Grindavik, and of course, I was left wanting more.

4 friends explore a piece of North India
I’m adding my small contribution to the reopening celebration by posting this travel journal from India, which we did in January 2024. There were four of us—two couples—and we spent three weeks looping through Rajasthan, stopping in Delhi and Agra (which, as everyone knows, aren’t actually in Rajasthan).

Quebecers: absolutely wonderful people when it comes to welcoming tourists—especially French ones—and how they treat us. You can ask them for advice at the supermarket, for info here and there, and even distant cousins are super helpful!

One Month in Laos and Cambodia
The itinerary will be pretty classic, though a bit disjointed, to fit our dates and interests. For us, we’ll arrive in Luang Prabang (LP), where we’ll take some time to acclimate, then spend a few days in the northern Laos mountains—Nong Khiaw and Muang Ngoi.

Autumn is the perfect season to visit Corsica: fewer tourists, ideal temperatures around 25°C, and most importantly, less stress on the roads. You can feel it everywhere. Servers and shopkeepers are more relaxed and have time to chat...
