Road Trip to Mauritania Senegal
I frequently travel to Mauritania by car. I’m offering to take you along on my next trip. I provide the car as well as cover road expenses (fuel, tolls, ferry), plus accommodation in Mauritania. You’ll be responsible for a few meals on the road, the Mauritanian visa, and your return flight (from 300 to 500 € depending on the season).

Looking for travel companions for multiple destinations
I’d like to travel with one or two others for these trips. For Senegal, I’ll take my car. For the other trips, we can plan them later if the first one goes smoothly and is fair for all backpackers. I travel light with minimal personal items and no pretensions. I love sharing and chatting without overthinking it. And I’m open to any initiative.

I won’t tolerate people who are too attached to their comfort or their personal cultural lifestyle outside their home country or country of birth. (Humility and tolerance) The world is about discovery and should feel new above all else.

Crossing Africa
Hi everyone, I’m setting off in my old 4x4 for a north-to-south crossing of Africa this November. I’ll start in Mauritania and make my way to Senegal. My 4x4 is prepped for the journey. Get in touch if you’d like to see if we can set off together. See you soon. Jean Baptiste.

Exploring Mauritania by 4x4 in February 2025
I’m proposing to team up for two weeks in Mauritania in February.

Round-trip flight Paris/Nouakchott with RAM is around 500 €. Departure around 28/01, return around 13/02.

On the ground, I’m organizing a grand tour of Mauritania with a guide I know who’s very reliable. We’ll be in a 4x4, alternating between bivouacs and small hostels. A really diverse itinerary. The circuit price is a maximum of 1200 €. Mauritanian visa: 55 €.

I already know Mauritania—it’s a low-tourism, safe, and friendly country. A chance to discover a real desert with real nomads! However, the ‘hotel’ services are basic! So I’m looking for adaptable travel companions, easy-going, and preferably with a good sense of humor.

I’m in the senior age range, but I’ve got nothing against younger folks 😊.

If you’d like to share this amazing adventure, get in touch with me.

Travel companion for France-Bamako in a Mercedes Sprinter
Hello, I’m planning to leave for Bamako in three to six months. Here’s my itinerary: Toulouse (France) via Barcelona, Tangier, crossing Morocco to GUERGUERAT, entering Mauritania, Nouakchott up to the GOGUI border (Mali), and arriving in Bamako. I might go through Algeciras depending on costs. I plan to stop for a week in Nouakchott with family. I’ll be traveling in a half-loaded Mercedes Sprinter. For this reason, I’m looking for a travel companion due to my age and health. I’ve made this crossing several times, including two round trips in 2018. I’m open to any serious proposals. Many thanks for this site, which has been a great source of information.

Morocco and possibly Mauritania by vehicle, late February 2025
After swapping our Patrol for a Duster, we’re planning a trip to Morocco to test the off-road capabilities of this new vehicle—and if we’re happy with it, we might push on to Mauritania. We’re a retired couple used to this kind of trip, and we’ll be leaving around late February 2025... Our passions: off-the-beaten-path travel, photography, wildlife, prehistory, and meeting locals. Looking for one or two other crews with similar interests...

Looking for female travel companion – Cape Verde, Canary Islands, Balearics April–May 2025
Hi there,

I’m looking for a female travel buddy to hike and also enjoy some cultural visits over two weeks starting April 18th. I’m open to destinations but have a soft spot for Cape Verde, and I’m also interested in the Canary Islands or the Balearics. I travel on a small to medium budget—local transport, maybe renting a car where it’s necessary, eating local food, and connecting as much as possible with locals, even getting invited to their homes when possible.

No beach lounging or long days by the sea—this trip is all about geographical and cultural discovery.

Anyone curious and energetic is welcome to reach out! 😊
