I’m planning our very first trip to mainland France in January 2027. There’ll be 2 adults and 2 kids, and we’ll mostly be traveling by train.

Here’s our itinerary:

Paris Rouen (Normandy) Lyon Aix-les-Bains (with day trips to Annecy and Geneva) Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (with Chamonix and a day in Aosta) Back to Paris

Do you think this itinerary is well-balanced? Any tips, must-see spots, or mistakes to avoid for a first-time visit?

Hi there, This question is for a friend who lives in Munich and needs to come to Paris in May 2027. Could you share any tips on the easiest way to get to Paris (flight or train) and then to La Défense Arena? I don’t know anything about it, and my friend is just as lost when it comes to planning her trip. Thanks in advance if you have any advice! :-)

Hi, I need to stay in Paris or Créteil for 2 nights a week for a month. I know some cheap backpacker options, but I’d like something even cheaper. Do you know of any rooms for rent from private individuals? Thanks
